Great clip of Kelly from Cradley Heath, thanks for posting this. Check out an even better clip of him riding at Eastbourne in 1988 it's a masterclass on how to ride a Speedway Bike...RIP Kelly...
I saw Kelly ride back around 2003 or 4 at Green Ny. speedway track..his bike came up (wheelied) out of turn 2..seemed as if it came completely off the ground..spun around the opposite way... and body slam him to the ground. It was great watching him ride.
when speedway was speedway,, those USA teams of the late 70s,early 80s were very very special... R.I.P Kelly,, always in our memories 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thank you Bruce Penhall for helping Kelly till the very end... your a true friend ❤️👍

R.I.P Jellyman it was a prevailge to see you ride for the Belle Vue Ace's along with your brother ♣️🏁
First saw Kelly & Shawn as kids on the little bikes in 1976 @ Cost Mesa. Lance King too. As a kid that loved speedway they were Rock Stars.
I agree. I wasn't into super heros as a kid. I was into Kelly Moran, Lance KIng, Sam Ermolenko...etc. I watched races at Costa Mesa in the mid 80s
I grew up going to Costa Mesa speedway. Front box.
Not very often you saw riders straighten up the front wheel mid corner.

Ole Olsen?
2nd only to Peter Collins mate in my humble opinion
Shame he let the old drink get the better of him
Only one wizard of balance, the late great Peter Craven.
not only one..have a little bit respect mate
@@harryhirsch8527 I might add a few more like Ove Fundin who was just a wee bit ahead of his time in terms of style and speed.
stop being narrow minded. In my eyes there is only one PC, Peter Collins
Even with a high-side in lap 2, turn 2, he can waste you Limeys.
Yeah in the days when the Yanks had good riders....they're not wasting anybody nowadays.
Wonder how many tanks would pass a drug test worse thing they didn’t even hide the fact
Phil Collins was a motorcycle racer to. What a talent singing and racing
