    In simple terms, the rules states that the root note serves as the starting point, the third notes determines whether the chords is major or minor , and the fifth notes adds stability and support to the chords structure .

    Hi. Just found your channel few days ago and watching your video's from the start.
    Thx. The program is not for me I think because I love the classical music. But it's great to watch them.
    Haven't watched them all yet but i'll do :). Very new to piano to good to learn things.

    Kaitlyn, Thanks for putting out all these video's ! They have been very motivating for me personally, and I would recommend your approach to learning to others who have some desire to learn the piano. I have learned quite a few tricks watching your videos and you have validated several of my own decisions as I started on this journey. Especially the keyboard selection criteria, I had already purchased an electronic keyboard and was pleased to find out that I had used all the same criteria you describe in your video for that topic. I started with piano when I was five or six, and had to go to lessons with my 5 siblings on Saturday mornings, I really just wanted to watch cartoons (Boomer kid). as I circle back to learning piano after playing guitar and all sorts of other stringed instruments, I find your tips, and roadmap to be exceptional. Thanks for all your efforts. P.s. Loved seeing Chloe, and loved your behind the scenes video on making the lessons. Cheers Kb

    Why is the discovery call so long (45 minutes)? If I schedule a call, who am I meeting with - you or someone else?

    • @pianoly
      @pianoly  7 месяцев назад

      At PIANOLY, our approach is personalized to ensure both the student and teacher (Kaitlyn) are a good fit. We believe in the power of tailored learning experiences. To achieve this, we typically initiate with a friendly chat or call where we get to know each other better. This allows us to gauge your preferences, aspirations, and learning style. It's an opportunity for you to ask questions and understand how our program aligns with your goals. Once we establish compatibility, we delve into the workings of our lessons. Should our initial discussion align with your expectations and goals, we'll proceed to explain the specifics of how our program operates.
      Yes, the system suggests a 45-minute call, but truth be told, it can be as brisk as 15 minutes. We respect your time, but getting comfortable with these discussions is essential. Communicating regularly with Kaitlyn is a cornerstone of our program.

    Cool video idea. Please do more of these every so often in the future. My question: can you provide some lead sheet chord/melody examples for various stages of experience (beginner, intermediate, advanced). I’m sure there are easy examples with few chord changes and simple melodies and others that are harder with 7th chords, fast chord changes, and more complex melodies, but it’d be cool if you showed a few examples of each category!

    Lovely dog! Yes, it's true you can learn piano as an adult if you put in the time, but..how well? Some say you will never be as good as someone who started as a child, although you can get pretty good? What do you think?

    Hi! Yes I have a question for you :-)
    I'm not native english and also I'm far from being fluent in english. I can easily read and somehow write in english, but I can't follow any lesson that requires I understand spoken english. So, in example, I can't follow on-line lessons with a teacher talking to me (while I can follow any course based on videos, examples, written text, etc.)
    Is the piano accelerator suitable for me? (I should also say I only have a Casio CT-S300 keyboard with 61 keys with touch response and I can't upgrade it for now, so no 88 keys in the beginning).

    What I lack, what I want to learn is to fill in the spaces between chords with long improvisational runs in playing pop music not jazz. Can you teach me that?

    Burning question: What do you recommend your students if they get stuck and loose track of their goals, visions and/or motivations?

    • @pianoly
      @pianoly  7 месяцев назад +1

      When students get stuck with piano goals or lose motivation, I suggest they revisit why they started, break goals into smaller tasks, try new music styles, seek inspiration from performances, change practice routines, be patient with progress, take breaks when needed, and connect with fellow pianists for support.

    Good morning Kathy,
    It has been awhile I hope you had a enjoyable
    Thanksgiving.
    Great question and answer session.
    Here’s a story:
    When I wanted to play basketball in Junior High School but I was terrible at it.
    My coach took me under his wing and taught me the basic skills of how to play so I practice for hours over the summer until I became very good as a player. We won the city championship that year.
    Moving fast forward when
    I was in Junior College I was offered an athletic scholarship to play for a major University.
    That is what practicing and hard work will do for you.
    Your commitment will lead you to achieves your goal in play the piano.
    So the moral of the story is if you have the desire to learn to play the piano, practice, and practice some more.
    Time should never be a issue. It is all about your desire to be able to play the piano.
    To become as good as Beethoven or Chopin now that requires a large amount of time but it can be achieved through hard work, if that is what your desired.
    Your desire to learn will bring you to your goal.
    I should know
    I live it.
    Have a blessed Holiday everyone.
    🙏🙏🙏
