I'm a Chevy man but that old Ford is a sweet ride. Hunter is a lucky young man to have a father that helps he's kid out and it seems that you have a lot of patience too. The world needs more fathers like you, great job both of you and the other people that helped too.
I respect and appreciate your comment!! I'm a HARD CORE FORD MAN, and the proud owner of a '75 F250 Highboy!! Well done Hunter you have something you can enjoy for years to come. You are lucky to have a father with such a well equipped shop and the knowledge to help you. This could be the start of a hobby of saving older vehicles and or equipment if you are that way inclined. You and your father have done a great job there and it sounds great. It will bring a smile to your face every time you drive it, and that makes it all worth it.
Really enjoy seeing the videos of you teaching your kids and not just handing them there Parts it's nice to see them working and earning what they are getting they're getting an education and learning responsibility love the videos everything you do
The smile on Hunter’s face when he heard that 460 for the first time… Priceless. That’s one fine pickup… It amazes me how you take things like rear main leaks and cracked new transmissions in stride… That kind of stuff is a gut punch to me after all that work… I gotta cuss, bitch, moan and whine for a few minutes before I go back in.
Hunter, enjoy every single minute with your dad!!! I lost mine a couple years ago and would give ANYTHING to be able to tell him how much I appreciate all he did for us and to tell him I love him one more time!!! Cherish every moment young man and give him a hug once in a while and tell your mom & dad how much you appreciate AND love them!!! That's one sweet machine 🙂
I really liked the Ford Highboy compilation of videos. I am impressed with the knowledge and ability of both your sons, Hunter and Tucker. You are doing a fantastic job of teaching them trades that will help them throughout their lives. It makes a father happy to see how you teach and assist your boys. You are very patient with them and compliment them as they complete their projects. I always look forward to your videos and how you vary the content. Keep up the good work!
My bucket truck is an F450 short wheelbase with a 3 valve V10. Even with the fiberglass utility body, it only gets 5mpg too. Probably it'd do a little better if I kept my foot out of it (which I don't, haha)
That old Highboy turned out awesome. Great color scheme and the old tried and true 460cid motor will be passing all of those $85,000 6.7 diesels by the side of the road, but you won’t pass any gas stations! Stellar build gentlemen…
The long videos are awesome. If you made a 3 hour video, I would watch every second. Side note: I’m super curious how much much better the fuel mileage on that 5 speed swapped 6.9 would be. Probably very good.
Oh, and by the way - you and your son's are blessed to have the relationship that you have. I have two grown son's and I hope and pray that I showed the same patience and guidance that you have.
I have a 77 f250 highboy. I put in the 460 but i modified a C6 auto transmission. With B and M floor shifter. I put in power steering instead of hydraulic assist. I also had to modify for larger aluminum radiator. Fan shroud is very important also. I have many more added features. I went pre 85 460. This was 450 hp out of the line. Out of the Lincoln. After that the 460 only was produced with barley 200 hp. Lots of torque but not the same. It can still be bored another 120 over in 460 block only. You can switch 429 heads and intake. Bolts up all the same but a 429 is not a 460 block. It sure would have been nice to have help. I turned every bolt in that truck alone. More than once. I have put in positrax and more. Your truck really looks nice. Not many ever get a truck that nice. It beats the new ones.
Sometime during the '77 model year federal mandate eliminated tanks in the cab (probably a/o 1/1/77) Prior to that 4x4's with dual tank had one in the cab and one in the back.
At 18:19 I like seeing dozers, excavators and semi trucks with lots of jokes from you and kevin with a Christmas cherry on top. The high boy does sound sick going down the road.
Thoroughly enjoyed this series on the Highboy. My dad picked up a 1975 150 Ranger back when I was 16. We did a little wrenching on that truck. I’m 60 now and still have very good memories of working on that truck with my dad. Clint the time you spend with your kids will be great memories someday! Keep the great videos coming man!
Back in the late 70's our PD would buy the Highway Patrol LTD with the 460 interceptors that would top end from 145 to 160 MPH . they were bullet proof except for the fast fading brakes .
I will say that I am not a huge Ford fan BUT....that is a beautiful, sweet looking truck he has!!! You know that your faithful viewers will watch anything that you put out Clint!! As always thank you for bringing us along on this adventure!!!!
" That's right Bub ".... looking great. Enjoying the build videos, interesting, informative, educational and entertaining. Keep them coming, be well stay safe.
Your son is lucky to have a father like you who has the patience, time and resources to work on a truck like that. Personally I’m a little jealous of the truck. Hope it works well for him for many years!
When I was farming in the 70's and 80's I replaced all my Ford motors with 460's. I had friends in wrecking yards save me all the 460's that came in primarily in Lincolns. I would rebuild them during the winter with my kids. Even though they were young they learned about motor building.
The sound of the truck brought me back to my youth, kinda choked me up a little, I'm 47 so I grew up with 70s Ford trucks I owned a few of them. The glass packs with the 4spd you can't beat that sound. The truck is a keeper, drive it during the summer park it during the winter. I always wished I kept my old 70s trucks I was only 18 years old life was just starting.
Sure glad you never cut out the problems you had and because your just human like the rest of us perfect. Determination gets the trophy is that job, Hunter to have a father like that with all kinds of helpers, Kevin Uncle Scott, your a lucky young man. So happy for you good thing you live in the USA so you can afford gas her in CANADA 6.50 per gallon she would get expensive to drive but would be alot of fun. Love the exhaust choice Hunter sounds throaty. Congratulations on the great truck rebuild and Clinton great video was waiting for the completion…🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
My 67 GMC pickup had a Seat tank and two 50 gallon saddle tanks. My 73 DODGE W100 has a 27 gallon seat tank and trust me the bored out 360, can suck that thing dry in record time!
Yr or so ago you rebuilt dirt perfects trailer, dads all over the country envy the relationship you have with your sons, we all love the details of the builds you do. The details are part of all that.
Sweet ride. Thanks for sharing. Helped a friend when we were in college rebuild his 70's Ford truck. It also had the 460. Back then we used RV cams to boost them. Not as much as a 3/4 but definitely made an impact on sound and performance. Thanks for sharing.
What a build. And I can't believe I'm only just now remembering how I test drove a decent '78 High Boy that a dealer had on their lot back in the 90s. I felt like I was sitting about 10' in the air driving it, haha! They wanted $2200 and I wish I would have bought it! And Clint is sporting my 2nd favorite camo pattern - duck hunter, a design that goes back to WWII.
Hunter remember no one is born great at anything it takes time patients and lots an lots of practice. You seem like a quick study keep up the good work!!!
That is one lucky kid. I didn’t comment before because I waited until fire up day. When the inevitable shit eaten grin from ear to eat broke across his face. If y’all decide to repaint the truck you should pull the in cab fuel tank and plate over where the fuel neck filler cap is located. That will give him storage behind the seat for tools speakers and whatever else. Plus it will get rid of the smell of gas in the cab. My grandfathers 76 and 79 had in cab fuel tanks originally and no matter what the cab always smelled like gas and then we installed external tanks during the restoration and afterwards you’d never know they originally had cab tanks. We put a fuel tank tool box combo in the bed as it was just being built and restored as a ranch truck. The 79 was done similar to Hunters as it had a filler neck door on the bed as well. Some good sound deadening and heat shielding would make the cab much quieter and more comfortable but the truck is looking and sounding very good.
Like my old race car buddies say "God appreciates Sunday work church too". Nice father/son project, of course many others get creds as well. Thanks for sharing it - brings a grin!😁 Seems like Hunter has a "HUGE" grin!!!
What a great job you guys did and what a beautiful bad ass truck, I thoroughly enjoyed the videos on this truck. I had a 1974 F-100 Custom with the same brown color but solid. It had a 390 in it with headers and aluminum mag wheels. It had a three on the tree shifter on it. I was 19 when I bought it from my favorite high school teacher. I'm 66 now and I really miss that truck. I think I need to find me another one now. Watching you guys really brought back a lot of good memories. Thank you!!!
Congratulations, Hunter!! Man what a truck! Still in high school and got to work with dad and build one badass truck! Really sounds good. Thanks for sharing, Clinton!
“Whatever Kevin”!!! Says Hunter while working with Kevin on the exhaust piping😂😂😂 Sounds like Kevin got under Hunters skin a little🤔 Love your pickup Hunter!!💪👍🇺🇸
That’s a beautiful highboy Clint. I like the two tone paint on it and how they use to paint trucks back in the day. Best part is that it’s a man mission stick shift. Thanks for taking us alone on this build. If possible make some more highboy content or truck content

Great build video Hunter you are very lucky young man
If it's leaking oil you know that there's oil in it.
Hello all from Siesta Key Florida
Little advice for Hunter spend as much time with dad as you can the man is a world of knowledge. The truck looks and sounds amazing great job you all.❤
Built Hunter Tough! I could listen to you guys all day...
Really enjoy seeing the videos of you teaching your kids and not just handing them there Parts it's nice to see them working and earning what they are getting they're getting an education and learning responsibility love the videos everything you do
Had a 77 f250 loved that truck 460 built for mud racing
'76 and '77 were my favorite years. Nice looking High Boy
I would also love to have a 1974 too. Love the front end on it.
The smile on Hunter’s face when he heard that 460 for the first time… Priceless.

She is beautiful and sounds amazing. The time with each other is more important than the truck.
Measure with a micrometer, mark it with chalk and cut it with an axe.
You need a flo master muffler that popping you have is sick!
Hunter, you will remember spending these days with your dad and friends. As you get older these memories will come back and remind you of great times
Sounds awesome! Hunter will remember this for the rest of his life. Great job, dad!
Loving the truck. When I was a kid my Dad had a 1976 f250 high boy. That’s probably why I’m such fan of them and have always been a Ford guy.
A big heavy foot will get you about 5 mpg in that f250
My bucket truck is an F450 short wheelbase with a 3 valve V10. Even with the fiberglass utility body, it only gets 5mpg too. Probably it'd do a little better if I kept my foot out of it (which I don't, haha)

I liked the tank behind the seat because it never rusted out.. u have to run a 360 fly wheel and a 10 1/2" clutch
not true, they rust more from the inside.
What a cool father son project, 😎 🇺🇲👍
At 18:19 I like seeing dozers, excavators and semi trucks with lots of jokes from you and kevin with a Christmas cherry on top. The high boy does sound sick going down the road.

Looks like your sons gonna be working for free for a long time. I can only imagine how much all the cost. Hope he realizes hoe lucky he is.

Looking Good!!!
I miss my old highboy. First truck is always the best
Great job guys! She looks beautiful. Thanks for the video.
Thank you too!
Old School Trucks are still cool!!!
Congrats young man on this build!!!
Remind Hunter of high center of gravity, she will roll. Nice work and hope he has many miles of enjoyment driving.
Appreciation all round for all the participants in this project. I love it.
Sounds good 👍
Hunter remember no one is born great at anything it takes time patients and lots an lots of practice. You seem like a quick study keep up the good work!!!
Very nice Hunter take care of it Oh yea grease the door hinges
This reminded of my dad painting my 64 Impala convertible when I was in school,,, what a day that was
You made some great memories with your son that he will never forget and he will tell his kids someday great job
That is one lucky kid. I didn’t comment before because I waited until fire up day. When the inevitable shit eaten grin from ear to eat broke across his face.
Through all that boring work and exhausting work which seemed to never end, I knew it was going to happen.
There are 3 times a boy goes through the right of passage and that is when he loses his virginity, builds his first engine and starts it and the day he has his first child.
Not a fan of that exhaust noise. I prefer to have a high flow muffler like a Mac 3” so I can hear the cam working through the headers and a nice low rumble. That’s just unwanted noise.
Dad also has a special feeling of making his boy do something he can be proud of.
Hunter is certainly a different person today. He now has self respect, something he didn’t have before. He now has a purpose because he now can see what he can do. This is one of those special and important life lessons that most parents want for their children. Expensive but worth every cent if it makes an unbreakable bond between parent and child.
Good work dad.
Hunter is going to have the coolest truck in the school parking lot. Great father son project!
I said this before, but it is great you are doing this with your son its something he carry for the rest of his life too.
God bless y'all and Kevin too
Hunter, you’re very fortunate to have a Dad (+ Mom) that love you enough to support your dreams. Now is your turn to return it by excelling in all you do.

I really hope one day I can throw the word bubby around so naturally. Gold.
Congrats!

Option 2 start playing these videos at schools, community education programs maybe even juvenile prisons?! It could change a lot of young folks lives.
it is a great feeling to see a master mechanic at work. Keep up the great work.
Awesome to see this build. You don’t see that much anymore. Everybody wants new stuff nowadays. The old cars and trucks are better in my opinion. Love it.
Really great video. So good to have a father son collaboration. I built cars with my sons when they were at home and it creates a fantastic bond going forward. Still great pals today now they are both married with their owns sons.
Makes me miss my old 460 truck, it was awesome in every way except having to use 93 octane at 8 mpg
The good part about fixing problems is the experience Hunter is getting by doing it. I owe my mechanical ability to my dad and working with him in the garage. You always appreciate things more when you do it yourself. He’s going to be the envy of all his friends with that truck. 👍🏻
Your videos are really great. I would watch them even if they were longer no problem whatsoever. I can’t wait to see each and everyone of your videos.
Turned out really nice. Thanks for sharing the build
Like my old race car buddies say "God appreciates Sunday work church too". Nice father/son project, of course many others get creds as well. Thanks for sharing it - brings a grin!😁
Seems like Hunter has a "HUGE" grin!!!

Hunter finally seems happy! A great series too :)
I'm not even a Ford guy but Hunter and Mr. C you have built a fine truck!!! Good job Hunter 👍👏 enjoy your awesome new truck!!!
Awesome video the pick up looks wonderful. The smile on Hunter's face said it all😊 Thank you for sharing! 👌
I also thought he seemed a little down when they were working through the problem but a big smile he did have!!!
I am not a Ford guy but that thing sounds good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes Sir!!!!!!!!!!!!
I found myself smiling and thinking what a lucky boy to be able to spend time with his dad; a new drivable truck it add to the deal. Thanks.
Wow, that is fantastic. Great job, guys. Many would be proud to drive that with a smile from ear to ear.
Awesome job fellas. It sounds really healthy and angry. Hunter enjoy putting many miles on that awesome Blue Oval. Great job young man. 😎👍🏻😎
That’s a beautiful highboy Clint. I like the two tone paint on it and how they use to paint trucks back in the day. Best part is that it’s a man mission stick shift. Thanks for taking us alone on this build. If possible make some more highboy content or truck content
Great videos thanks for sharing really awesome stuff
Old girl looks better than new. Love regular cab long bed look. Sounds good to
