Yes. I used to put a damp chaser in them if they were in a cold damp environment. They were 15watts and clipped behind the bottom board and trapped the warm air inside the piano. It stops the action from seizing up.
@trevorpat-lifeontherun just wanted to "brighten up your day" a bit. What with all the medical bits lately....you brighten our days by sharing your lives & experiences with us. We care. I care, & just wanted to reach out. 😊 p.s. and to give you both °virtual hugs°
@@cathienelson5978 Well you sure did brighten up our day Cathie. What a wonderful thing it is to have someone we have never physically met offer such kindness. Thank you so much.
I don’t think you realise how interesting your history is. You certainly weren’t afraid of hard work. Good job Pat is such a lovely wife too. Together you could do whatever you imagined. Well done both of you. Keep the histories coming. I find it fascinating. It’s not like today where it is so easy to take photos of all we do. Such a shame you don’t have many photos of your work I really hope you feel better soon Pat. It really brings you down when you are poorly. X
Thank you so much for your kind words! It’s amazing to reflect on our journey together, and we’re glad you find our stories interesting Christine. I couldn't have done half of what I have done without the support of Pat. We’ll definitely keep sharing more of our history!
Thank you Trevor for showing your monochrome pic of your artwork. Absolutely fantastic, I love it and the story behind it. You definitely deserved that degree.
Oh lovely Pat...I do hope that things get sorted for you soon. you will get used to the new testing meter. Trevor, you can go on patches again and ask for the finger prickers and test strips fot that specific meter to be added to Pat's prescription. They can then send that prescription through to the pharmacy that you usually get your prescriptions and then all you need to do is pick that up. Take care of each other guys.xx
You can buy folding pails with handle Trevor. Boy I really hope this Doctor figures it out for Pat. New things can be confusing until we use it then we realize it’s not so bad after all. Take care.
Got one from Go Outdoors Debbie. Pat is being treated for a fungal infection Debbie, and after a painful night, she is much better today, and her sugar has come down by half today, so things might be looking up.
👋🏻👋🏻👍👍. Hopefully this new doctor will get things sorted for Pat. Maybe the additional tests are to confirm that it is a fungal infection and that the med he has prescribed will clear it up 👍👍. New monitors take a bit of time to get used to lol but it should get easier the more you use it. Look after yourselves 💕, stay safe and keep on smiling. Judy🇨🇦🇨🇦
Yes Judy, the future tests are to confirm that the meds have done the trick. Pat is feeling better today. I am figuring this new monitor out, and it's ok.
I don’t know if this is available in the UK, but assuming it should be, if you Google online you should be able to find a diabetic association where you can get help and information about how the device works. I guess I should be grateful for our pharmacist.(chemist) in Canada because when you’re given a glucose monitor that you go through all the instructions step-by-step with you when you pick it up. This new doctor sounds very good and thorough so if possible, maybe you can ask him if he can take you on this patient.
Hi Abigail. The device was given to Pat by the surgery, all sealed in a box. Maybe if the diabetic nurse was involved , she might have shown Pat how to use it, but she wasn't, so we have figured it out ourselves. Things at the surgery are moving in the right direction now, I am happy to say, and I am more confident that Pat is improving. Thank you for your well wishes.
I do hope the medication for Pat works and doesn't cause her any problems. At least she is seeing a doctor now, so hopefully things will get sorted at last. That was a huge drawing Trevor! I am surprised you didn't end up painting stage scenery!! See you tomorrow, bye!!
Hi pat and Trevor, my husband has a diabetic monitor fixed to his arm the reading go to his phone and if his levels get out of control it comes up and and alam goes off.If his levels get to low he takes some orange juice or can have six jelly babys to get his levels up.Also when he goes to see his doctor she can see on there computer a graff of his levels there's now prickly of the fingers he says it's a life safer would not go back now to the old way.He gets it on prescription you could ask about it and see if it might be a better way for you Julie.
It's a brilliant system, and we hope that Pat can get it. We have only just begun using this testing kit, so they may not update Pat straight away, but thank you for that useful information Julie.
Didn't you find when you were drawing time seems to fly when you get into a painting, it's my hobby just for my enjoyment, I find it frustrating at times but the pleasure I get when it turns out not perfect but better than last time. I think we all need a project what ever it is. What's the point of being perfect there wouldn't be a reason to carry on with another painting.
It always amazes me when I see people ENJOY creating art. I am like a dog cooking his head from side to side when I see it. My friend Mick amazes me because he never stops producing drawings. I can't ever remember enjoying drawing Sandra, it was a compulsion, I had to do it, and all the time I was afraid I would cock it up. I met a lot of artists who spent a lot of time talking about art things, (mainly in pubs) and I assumed that they were the same, otherwise why were they here talking about it? If you ENJOY creating art Sandra, then you have my admiration.
Thanks. I forgot what I was going to say. See you next time, I might be a bit out of order, but I'll catch up with you. I haven't got my glasses on, so hope this makes sense.. Oh, yes, the Taylors have refloated their narrowboat and moved on. I'll concentrate on watching you two and your medically induced compelling watching. Bye..
If you google Patches health you will see what it's all about, but I think your surgery has to have a link to it from their app. I have our surgery's app on my phone and I registered separately for Patches, so that when I go on our surgery's app and log in, there is a link to Patches that I can click on and log in with my password, and it allows me to send a message to our surgery about a number of things including doctors appointments. I answer questions and tell them why I am contacting them and they acknowledge receipt of my message, and then someone calls me. I have put Pat as someone I care for on the app, so I can ask questions for either Pat or myself.
Is it Gliclazide that Pat has been asked to take? The reason I ask is that I have been prescribed to take and I haven’t started it. They told me I’d have to check my Blood Sugar twice a day like Pat and I really struggle with it my fingers get so sore. I was told to check before I drive as well. Apparently, there is a risk of hypo’s with this and also putting weight on. I know Pat has said she’d like to put some weight on but I don’t having lost over 5 stone, much of it from taking weekly injection. So any information from Pat taking this medication I have an invested interest. May help….a decision. Thank you x
Hi Jacqueline. Pat took her first Gliclazide this morning, her sugar was 14. She did another test before tea tonight and it was 7.4. Pat has never been able to get her sugar down to that level in 15 years, so she is delighted. If you get sore fingers there is a patch you can get that means you don't have to prick yourself, or according to the information sheet with this tester, you can prick the palm of your hand. Pat could do with putting some weight on as she is only 6st 7lb, whether she does, time will tell.
@@jacquelineroddawales2024 Your welcome Jacqueline. If it makes you unwell, just stop taking it and tell them. That's what we did with two other things they tried Pat on.
Sounds like possible bladder stones forming from bladder crystals. Is Pat drinking enough fluids? Google Bladder stones/crystals and diabetic bladder dysfunction.
