I loved your piano tuning videos. I loved watching the piano tuner come in and tune our piano. The workings are fascinating and so intricate. I loved showing my kids how a piano actually works. Im still fascinated with it.
What fascinates me most about how a piano works, is that by 1890s the tape check action was fully developed, and it's the same system in a modern upright today.
@@trevorpat-lifeontherun I had an old piano, hammers were cracked so I crazy glued them together! It worked for a while. Then I saw a used Yamaha studio being wheeled into my music shop, it looked new. The owner looked it over and said how about $2000 for it. I couldn't believe it. So for the past 10 years I have a beautiful piano with a wonderful tone. Probably needs tuning so if you're ever on the Sunshine Coast in British Columbia let me know!
I lived in Sheffield very near the pits and it was a very depressing time for the city. The city has diversified and rebounded. That was one of many reasons I chose to immigrated to Florida USA as the employment opportunities in that area at that time were bad. My Dad was made redundant and chose to move to the USA with my mom who never worked , they could not afford to live and not work and be too old to get a job at 50. Both got jobs in the USA and it worked out. You both remind me of how my parents marriage was. My mom passed away over here 13 years ago and is forever missed.
It’s funny how couples really do remember things differently. It happens to Dave and myself. See you proved me right you two sit down and boom the time has passed. Take care.
@ there are only five I really follow regularly. Yours is the only daily one I watch the others are two or three times or weekly. I truly enjoy having you two pop in daily it’s like a visit. I use to watch a lot more channels but my life can be busy so I pick and choose who I really want to watch and you and Pat are top of my list along with the others I mentioned. Have a lovely day.

Thank you Mary, Tracey bought it for me for Christmas. Shibden park was lovely, and so far we are enjoying this hotel. It's a very famous hotel too. Last Tango IN Halifax was filmed here, and The Beatles stayed here in 1964.

That piano didnt start the miners strike did it? I bet the air was blue when it did a somersault. There are some very talented people out there who cannot teach you something that you have to feel when producing a piece of repaired wood or french polishing, Have a really good trip.
