I am a very big fan of Thomas Blug, and Thomas is the "number one reason" that anyone buys a Hughes and kettner amp. His playing and comand of the guitar and the amp brings out every drop of tone from these amps and when a tone crazy guitarist hears Thomas's demos he is compelled to buy a Hughes and Kettner amp. Bravo Thomas! Whatever Hughes and Kettner is paying you its time they gave you a raise... :)
It's a very satisfying amp, the cabinet is clearly set up to compliment the sound qualities. I listen to everything that comes out of your mouth, you do a very good job of not only educating but describing what an amp should be and where it could go. "Depending of course, on who's playing". Thank You
sometimes you need a nother Yamaha Pacifica 112V, sometimes just a nod with an ever so slight a tap on your Hughes &Kettner Vortex 80W combo amp...we love you Thomas!
Olli is right. why is that? I have the mk1 combo and it only sounds good through my fender strat. But man does it sound good. Its just too heavy now that im playing out a lot. So i bought a grandmeister 36 and im so disappointed . I miss amp 2 on my triamp so much. The grandmeisters cleans sound good but the mk1 sounds 1000 times better. Maybe im not dialing it in correctly? It seems that it just cant match the triamp. It sounds tiny.
Hmm, you know what? A lot of the guys who helped design the TriAmp play Strats as their main guitars. This could be why they sound so good through it ;) BUt your problem could be to many factors. What cab are you using, for example, and guitar? The GM36 will be giving you a naturally more 'modern' sound than the MKII's Amp 2...
Thomas is great! Awesome presentation!

I don't understand why the Triamp doesn't have a solo boost. It just seems ridiculous.
Mark 3 does
great with Singlecoils, just do not like 'em with HBs. Thomas rocks as always! ;o)
