    I would recommend you to use it with GNU/Linux distro such as Manjaro Linux or EndeavourOS.
    You get more battery life out of this X240 and you could install an Intel Overclock script in order to undervolt the CPU and get even more battery life out of it.
    I'm using my X240 with an SSD, original Lenovo removable and non-removable battery and I'm getting around 8 hours of battery life while doing some office stuff and web surfing.
    Also, there is an mSATA to SATA adapter which will allow you to use two mSATA SSD's and the ThinkPad will display those as two separate drives. I don't know what kind of adapter this is since it came with my X240 but there's a model number which says N2510x2

    Hello, very good overview, detailed. But what would you say about battery life? Does it actually last 10 hours or even 20?

    Hey, BrooksyTech! Thanks for the great video. I do like my x240 with i5 4300U and 8 gb of ram, but what upgrades would be suggested by you. I love it, but I need it faster and powerful in 2020, almost 2021. I would appreciate your advice.

    Hey, I recently bought an x240 and I was also thinking of swaping the WAN card for an m.2 SSD. My question is: the only think I shoud keep in mind when buing one is that the size be 2242 or there's more to give attention to? Thanks in advance and thanks for the great video!

    Really good overview got question ,do you know if x260 have some whitelist when comes to screens?
    Is it possible for you to share where I can find someone to help me with bios cz I want to mod my future x260 and I really don't want to bother with whitelist (and spending ton $ on proper screen).
    Tnx !

      Sorry, I don't really understand the question. I am assuming you mean resolution and the brightness fuction? I upgraded my screen to be a 1080p screen over the stock 720p screen that comes with most models. But I had to get a custom bios flashed to have it work like stock. If you are just using the stock screen you should be okay!

    • @marks8979
      @marks8979 4 года назад

      Depends on whether you use trackpoint or touchpad. If you cannot live without the trackpoint, then X250. X240 does not have trackpoint buttons, and having the touchpad double as buttons makes using the trackpoint -- pun intended -- pointless.
      The is a silver lining to this: The die-hard Thinkpad users hate the X240 for this reason. Which is why -- if you are a touch pad user, and do not mind not having the trackpoint -- you can pick up an X240 dirt cheap. I got mine for $75.

      @mark Sorry, I don't have a 4g LTE modem installed. So cant comment on that. I think from factory there was an option for a WWAN modem, not LTE. WWAN is pretty much a dead technology that Sprint used to use. Not sure if the still broadcast wwan though.
