1) You forgot to connect rgb ribbon. 2) You should use a heatgun to melt those posts and not break them so that when you put new KB in you melt them agan an squich back at they bere before..
Lots of appreciations from my side to you, I was looking for a video like that for 2 days. I have GL62M 7REX, but I bet the process of detaching a keyboard should be absolutely the same.
what was the problem with your keyboard? why did u replace it? mine doesn't type some keys or sometimes type several times when clicked once. (GL62 6QF)
I have a GL75 that got water spilled...I disassembled to dry and clean it. Looking at my keyboard, it isn't screwed in. It's plastic welded in. Any thoughts or suggestions to get the keyboard out?
As you can see in the video I pushed the screwdriver under the keyboard and broke them up. You probably should get some tiny screws to get it tight fixed after bringing back in the new keyboard to the housing.
the video is played fast and still youre in a hurry to assemble the unit back.. I think that keyboard will sink down a little when press because the metal plates holding the keyboard is not fastened back.. I usually glued the metal plate back to have a strong support on the keyboard.. these are very common on keyboards mounted underside the top casing.
hello man i split soda 6 months ago on my laptop should i open it to see if there remains something of it ? from what i have seen the keyboard protects the main components from liquid but i am not sure there could be some soda that entered i dont know there has been more than 6 months i havent see any problem do you think liquid evaporized ?
I will replace the keyboard of my MSI GT75 8RG Titan soon and i'm a little worried about the thin metal plate with the black dots. if you look at the metal plate before you removed it, you see that the dots are molten on it to hold it, isn't the keyboard and metal plate loose if you just put it back in its place after removing it? it's really difficult for me to explain it because i'm not english.
Yes it is. It only holds with the massive tape and some screws. Some keys are a bit "wobbly" I would say but they work. You have remaining screw holes where you screw in more screws. Look at 4:25 I wrote it in the subtitle :). You need twelve M2L3 ones.
Hi, I have an msi gl62m 7rd, I think it might have gotten a little water damage, as I wiped it down with 70% alcohol. Some of my keys aren't working now. Will getting a keyboard replacement from eBay or amazon fix my problem?

good job and thanks for the video. I have a question. when you remove the mainboard, Is that effects the windows ? I mean after the installation, can we use the laptop as before ? or we need a format or something ?
Viel Erfolg.
I will not buy MSI again! The keyboard of other laptops is fixed differently and more convenient to change without needing to remove the motherboard! Besides, on other laptops, I never needed to change the keyboard.
A minute in, and I already decided "I'm just buying a new laptop or a USB keyboard..." then he removed the motherboard... Cripes, literally had to take the entire thing apart. Hard pass...

Is the GL62 keyboard the same as the GL72?

I'm not sure, I think it was M3 2.5mm length.
Does the rgb work when you plug it in?
Dude , Why you buried KB backlight flex . There's the port over keyboard port.

When you had no problems for like 6 months, then there is no need to replace the keyboard.
Would replacing the full keyboard fix dead keys? Which part is that ?
For me it worked. I had L and M broken.
