A leg suggestion I have for the red falcons is the power miner legs from the final wave. They’re a plain light gray but they have metallic silver plating on it which matches the chainmail on the torso
I just started my own Black Falcon force. And I have to say I love the idea of including some Red Falcons as well. Though maybe have them as royal guards, to distinguish them from the normal military.
Bricks and Pieces has Black Falcon barding currently, so if you find yourself with extra neohippoi (new horses) you can order a few of those to increase your heavy cavalry compliment. For modular fortifications, might I suggest that merlons be taller than a minifig and crenels up to about waist height, with machicolations to allow for shooting or dropping things at the base of the wall beneath the crenellations. If you want extra authenticity for the walls, you can use loose bricks as fill between the inner and outer stone facings (bonus points for having them be visible from the sides when the wall section is unconnected). I'm always a fan of faction lore. Go for it with the lore video.
A lore video would be so cool. This channel is scratching my medieval itch so well! I think the red falcon legs work really well too actually. The advisors i also think could look more civilian than knight? I picture a royal court as not wearing the sigil all the time. Great video
Looking great, really getting into the modular castle myself and I'm designing a large wizards tower and wall section (basically a T shape with the wizard tower being the base of the T) to create a new middle for the lion castle, and new walls and more towers for the modular
A story video would be great! Definitely sounds interesting. These aren't perfect either, but as a replacement for the dual moulded legs, you could try those silver ones from that guy from doctor who. Not perfect but might be ok. Really great video.
I think the best legs for the red falcons are the armored kingdom Lion knight legs. (970c86pb02) Brick Knight made a great video using them, you can search black falcon royal guard army to find it. Only problem is those legs are expensive but a couple might work for the more senior red falcon knights.
I like the look of the castle wall on the outside, but i feel you should commit to one type or another, Having it set where there is two walls and only a stud inbetween seems like a such a waste. you could make the wall out of 2xX bricks and be sturdy, and have interior detail like on the 3 in 1, or you could make your wall out of 1xX and have the "wall" have its own section/rooms. A lot of medieval castle, the caste WAS the wall primarily with lots of buildings/rooms built as part of the wall plus a small keep or so, as you have it now, you use a lot of bricks, but dont have any interior space, thats usable. Or alternatively you could build buildings into the back side of your walls, so like black smith behind one section, a stable behind another, a chapel in a next, so blend into the wall back, let you be a bit creative, and then arnt forced into any strict adherance to size
Looking great so far! I like the amount of detail in the wall. One suggestion I would have is to make the wall a little bit taller, maybe by three or four bricks, so it scales better with the Minifigures.
I’m working on selling some of my other factions to continue building my falcon army. I just added a rogue squad of about 20 into my falcon army as well as ordered some custom banners and some custom fabric bardings for my red falcons.
I'm also building a castle moc up, I'd recommend putting still that an actual castle would have in it like machicolations on the walls and maybe bucks of oil/boiling water that would be dumped on intruders
That’s awesome man you’ve inspired me to build a small black falcon army , I’m am very sad that the red black falcons aren’t on pick a brick anymore 😂❤
Excellent preview! I've been a fan of the Black Falcons since their Fortress debuted in 1986; seeing their updated minifig designs got me re-interested in putting together my own army...which is why I appreciate your own effort so much 🙂 You've got a good start at the moment^^ And I would love to learn more about the lore attached to your army! One last thought: how many minifigs makes for a good-sized army? Thank you again for sharing!
@@Goldfyre Very true; it is entirely subjective 🙂 For myself, I was thinking of @150-180 of the Regular Black Falcons with a "royal guard" of 50-60 Red Black Falcons, split into Sword Knights/Polearm Knights/Archers & a cavalry of 15-20 heavily armed&armored Knights.
They are from LEGO build a minifigure bins. It released mid last year and sadly can't be found in them anymore. Your best bet if you are interested in getting some would be bricklink.
As someone who is a big fan of castles, I can help give you some pointers on the wall build. The height overall is good, I would recommend adding some working machicolations to the wall. If you don't know what those are they are the outcroppings that castle walls have but provide a hole that the archers atop the wall can shoot down the blind spot that a wall creates. second, I would recommend macing the crenelles of the wall the height of the figures and have the merlons go down to the waist of the figures. aside from that I really like the look of your figures here and glad to see someone else not using the flat silver armor for the Black Falcons. I know why people do it, but it completely clashes with the color of the Black Falcons, it would be like if the lion knights suddenly started wearing the gunmetal armor, it just doesn't match.
I just use my red falcons as depilates. Or any armored soldier who isn’t intended for any kind of battle. So most don’t wear that because even they are intended for attest the possibility of defending points of extreme interest. This is relevant my black falcons are a warrior culture. Who uses there accomplishments in battle to rise up in politics.
Army looks great and love the story for red falcons, would love a lore video!, Have a great day mate!
Ya it would be cool

Great army! The Red falcons are such a great faction i wish i would've been able to pick them up

Awesome army there! I would also love to hear the lore for your fantasy world!
Thanks! I'm currently working on my lore video 😁

You could use brown ladders
Great army
Try to put the cape under the shoulder armor, it looks way better

Really great video.
I like the dual molded legs on the red falcon figs

I would make the battlements bigger on the wall section. Ideally they would be at least three bricks wide and tall enough for a fig to hide behind.
I'm also building a castle moc up, I'd recommend putting still that an actual castle would have in it like machicolations on the walls and maybe bucks of oil/boiling water that would be dumped on intruders
That's very cool! I'm thinking of what to use for my human kingdoms in the world I'm building.
You’re definitely going somewhere, keep it up
Thank you so much! that means a lot
Just a suggestion but make the floor of the wall a dark brown instead of tan
The ktown bricks plate legs would look perfect for ur red falcon mini figs. They custom print on Lego
You are great creator keep going 👍
Love the royal guards, where did you get the shoulder armor from?
A way to improve the wall is making the machiciolations functional
Red falcons leader gives me Ned stark vibes and there soldiers give me sar stark vibes
That’s awesome man you’ve inspired me to build a small black falcon army , I’m am very sad that the red black falcons aren’t on pick a brick anymore 😂❤
Love it bro
I definitely want a video on lore
this is really cool
Thanks!
I appreciate the idea of the red falcons! Where can I find this torso?
I would love a video on lore

I think a good-sized army is subjective. For me personally I prefer smaller armies of (25-50) minifigs.

What set are the red falcon knights from?

Where did u get or from which sets do the minifigure heads come from? Lego pick a brick doesnt have those heads in their site
The heads I use come from all over. PAB, my own collection, etc
Nice
I ❤ lore

Yes lore video ❤😅
Im thinking of buying 20 of the falcons every month so thats 78 dollars in 2 months so im gonna have 43 falcons and maybe buy like 13 in a week
