You cannot properly comprehend how happy I am you uploaded this album. When MercyMe first began they played at my church. We received a copy of this album, but I have no idea where it is now. I have desperately been searching because I love these songs so much. I cannot thank you enough for this. Thank you. Thank you! I am literally crying with joy right now, thank you so much.
Lyrics: There's a veil across the land, not a wide veil One as black as the sin by which it was created And it covers every corner of the world Can it be lifted? Lord, I sure hope so Men trying to be of God are on their knees And they are asking for the Father's hand With doubt in their voice as they've yet to see Their own type of delivery And they talk to their Father in so many formalities They were taught that way I guess, it seems I just wish the child left in us would find its way out Crying, 'Please, please, oh daddy, please' If faith so small can move mountains Can we not believe enough to be set free? Whoa, we need to be free Oh, we need to be free You know He tore the veil once He can tear it again And He can bring us in From the reign of sin And He can do everything That we have ever hoped for And He can do things That we never could comprehend Oh, He is our God, He is almighty As the Holy One He is our God, He is almighty As the Holy One Oh, He is our hope, He's our salvation The one thing to cling to You are our God, You are almighty You're the Holy One You are our God, You are almighty You're the Holy One Jesus, You are our God, You are almighty You're the Holy One // Old man walking down the street Suitcase in one hand Burdens in the other Searching the land He just wants to find Jesus He just wants to be free He looks in all of Stuff of this world Trying to find someone Who's not of this world He just wants to find Jesus He just wants to be free 'To anyone who will listen My tears won't let me see I need to find this Savior Tell me, where could he be?' 'I just want to find Jesus I just want to be free I need to be free' I told him how to find Him Told him what he had to do I said, 'You don't have to go searching Thanks to grace, He'll come to you' The old man found Jesus And Jesus set him free New man walking down the street Suitcase in one hand The Bible in the other Searching the land He just wants to find people Who just want to be free, yeah He just wants to show them Jesus 'Cause that's what they need It's what they need Mmm, Jesus
I got this Album at a Youth Conference in Anderson In back in 95. I'm now 34 and still remember every word to this song! I remember the CD had a flannel shirt on it. I got the very last one. They literally took it out of the CD player and I didnt get a case for it, but I didn't care. I wanted it so bad. Thank you uploading this.

Lyrics:
There's a veil across the land, not a wide veil
One as black as the sin by which it was created
And it covers every corner of the world
Can it be lifted? Lord, I sure hope so
Men trying to be of God are on their knees
And they are asking for the Father's hand
With doubt in their voice as they've yet to see
Their own type of delivery
And they talk to their Father in so many formalities
They were taught that way I guess, it seems
I just wish the child left in us would find its way out
Crying, 'Please, please, oh daddy, please'
If faith so small can move mountains
Can we not believe enough to be set free?
Whoa, we need to be free
Oh, we need to be free
You know He tore the veil once
He can tear it again
And He can bring us in
From the reign of sin
And He can do everything
That we have ever hoped for
And He can do things
That we never could comprehend
Oh, He is our God, He is almighty
As the Holy One
He is our God, He is almighty
As the Holy One
Oh, He is our hope, He's our salvation
The one thing to cling to
You are our God, You are almighty
You're the Holy One
You are our God, You are almighty
You're the Holy One
Jesus, You are our God, You are almighty
You're the Holy One

Old man walking down the street
Suitcase in one hand
Burdens in the other
Searching the land
He just wants to find Jesus
He just wants to be free
He looks in all of
Stuff of this world
Trying to find someone
Who's not of this world
He just wants to find Jesus
He just wants to be free
'To anyone who will listen
My tears won't let me see
I need to find this Savior
Tell me, where could he be?'
'I just want to find Jesus
I just want to be free
I need to be free'
I told him how to find Him
Told him what he had to do
I said, 'You don't have to go searching
Thanks to grace, He'll come to you'
The old man found Jesus
And Jesus set him free
New man walking down the street
Suitcase in one hand
The Bible in the other
Searching the land
He just wants to find people
Who just want to be free, yeah
He just wants to show them Jesus
'Cause that's what they need
It's what they need
Mmm, Jesus
Praise God

Great Song!
Did they sing these before they became MercyMe?
They were mercyme still, but this was from their first independent record from 1995.
Some of the songs on "Please to Meet You" were written pre Mercy Me.
They actually formed in 1994 the year before this came out
