Februus is one of my favorite albums of all time too. It's got such amazing atmosphere, and a perfect mix of beauty and brutality. What's crazy is I don't really know what the lyrics mean. I did read into them a while ago and got the basic idea but it's almost like what you said, maybe I'm just not french enough lol.
Even though it was still sort of the early days of "djent" their rhythms, atmosphere and just overall production is basically timeless. I was really bummed when Aurélien Pereira left the band, I feel like he was the reason behind their great atmosphere and melody but Igor seemed to step up (even if it took forever) and delivered some really great stuff afterwards. I still don't think their newer stuff quite compares to Februus but I think Februus might just be one of those "perfect" albums that are pretty impossible to live up to.
On the religious side of things well, I wouldn't call myself religious. In the past I even used to mock religion but these days I just find it fascinating, even if I don't quite subscribe to any doctrine itself. I'd actually love a full breakdown of the whole album from your perspective though. I think It'd be really interesting to hear how you interpret the whole thing, and maybe even the subsequent albums too as they follow the same character.
Really liked this video though, will be checking out more, cheers!

Hey man, thanks for reaching out. I might have to go through the whole album eventually, maybe even playing highlights along the way. But ya, the overall meaning of the character's evolution is challenging. Great point about the aesthetic of the album being timeless in the sea of digital djent projects back then.
I'll be interested to hear your thoughts on any of the other videos too - I'm coming from a transparently Christian worldview where Christ is King and He forgives through His death, but you're still welcome to converse. Glad you checked it out!

I do really love those climax/chorus in the middle, that's such a great build up to them.
Have you heard them before? Btw, greetings from Brazil :)

Hey, welcome! Yes, I had heard them before, and that's the case with most of the songs on this channel currently; I'm starting with some of my favorite bands from over the years.
