First Annie Wilkes, now Alex Forrest, two iconic characters, played by two iconic actresses, and Lizzy Caplan is just damn incredible as both. And I know that’s a lot to assume from a trailer alone, but it’s definitely looking promising. Hopefully this will help her get the recognition she deserves.

What strikes me is the seductive energy of the two actresses that played Alex Forrest. I don't think anyone could outdo Glen Close in that role, but what strikes me about them is both are not quite what I consider super beautiful women, but they exude a crazy confidence that any man would find hard to resist. As I recall Ann Archer was the better looking woman as Ellen Gallagher, and the same with Alyssa Jirrels. Maybe that's just the way the story goes. The housewife is pretty and sweet, devoted to her husband and family, while the predatory Alex Forrest doesn't look so sweet and innocent, but she knows how to draw a man away from what he values.

Remake. As always. My guess is: Original bad guy was the woman, so they need to rewrite this and tell the story from another angle, so the bad guy will now be the man.

I haven't seen Amanda Peet since The Good Wife and Jack & Jill TV shows. I'm glad to see her again, very talented actress.
She had a great role in a series called Togetherness, I really loved that show, but HBO canceled it after only 2 seasons.
She was also really great in the second season of Dirty John, as Betty Broderick, should check it out if you get a chance.
