@Vikash Kumar bro South India especially tamil nadu was never conquered by any kings it was only ruled by their three native kingdoms which followed only tamil and Dravidian languages for 2500 years even before sanskrit came to India by Aryans... So we don't need other language while we're having our single language and representation for so many years
Not only Tamils, telugu people also don't know hindi but we have a hindi subject up to 10th standard. But children difficult to learn it including me😅😅. I by heart the words🤣🤣

2. MANY TELUGU'S SPECIALLY FROM 80'S ONWARDS HAVE LEARNT HINDI . THEY JUST CHOOSE THEIR OWN MOTHER TOUNGE AND THE WORLD LANGUAGE ENGLISH FOR THEIR USE.
3. HINDI BECOMES A PART OF UR DAILY LIFE IF U R IN AROUND HYDERABAD WHICH HAS A LOT OF MUSLIM INFLUENCE DUE TO THE RULERS WHO WERE HERE TILL LATE 1900'S.
Most of my Telugu friends understand Hindi very well

Most of us know Hindi. Comparatively Hindi is easier than Tamil.
But the fact that we find English a better option as compared to Hindi, as you can see most of the youngsters from TN are good in English, they don't find the need for Hindi.
Not all tamil is tougher than hindi it is easier but north Indians mind set never changes

It’s damn true we don’t care if Hindi is made India’s national language we do respect it but if refuse to speak in Hindi because for us our mother tongue is more important.
That's great, I've always had a deep sense of respect for the Tamils and how they've protected and preserved their language and culture for thousands of years. I am from Ayodhya and none of the architectures and monuments that Vikramaditya build here in 300bc exist today, most of the Temples and monuments have either been destroyed or were reconstructed just a few centuries ago, I agree, you should protect your culture 🙏🏼.

Knowing more languages is always an asset for your personal growth. Hindi imposition is not justified but it's also the reality that Hindi and its variants are the most understood language in whole India. So if you know Hindi then utilise it for your own benefit instead of discarding your own skill.
