The Waning have a unique and interesting journey, three sisters from Mexico, 19, 22 and 24 years old and already celebrated 10 years as a band with 4 albums, all very good. RUclips lets us watch from the very beggining playing covers at 9 12 and 14 until today taking the main stage at Wacken and Poland Rocks as well as several Rock huge Festivals in the US and Mexico.
It is already complicated to unite two bands with different styles, on opposite sides of the globe, with different languages... but music is capable of making it possible, bringing together talent, appreciation between both bands and most importantly, demonstrating to the world that there are women carrying the rock torch more today than in the past.
TW and B-M met at Aftershock in 2022 but they had been following each other on social media for some time and had become fans of one another. AT the time, they said they needed to collaborate. It took 2 years to realize that dream. TW went to Tokyo to team up with B-M on the recording, music video and a live performance together on stage at a joint concert. With TW in mind, Kanami wrote the initial song which was refined by the other members of B-M before they got together with TW in Tokyo to iron out the details of the performance of the song. There is a behind the scenes type video on TW’s YT channel that documents some of the interaction as well as excerpts from their recording session and the live show. Good stuff. Dany, the lead guitarist of TW, and Kanami also appeared together in a PRS Guitar interview during which Kanami revealed that the two bands intend to do more collabs. Dany suggested when B-M comes to Mexico they should attempt a song in Spanish. From watching the BTS video you gain insight about how much respect they have for one another as musicians and people. Lots of love on display.
From one Mr. Scott to another, I enjoyed your video. I’ve been a fan of The Warning for several years and can honestly say that their music has made me genuinely excited for the future of rock. They encompass many different parts of the genre, from classic to metal, with a lot of their style falling solidly in the area of hard rock. I encourage you to check them out to see why their music is so infectious. They’re currently releasing parts of their concert performed at the Pepsi Center, late last year. While I can say that everything they put out is great, this concert footage lets you see the energy and excitement that has everyone buzzing with excitement. They performed at the 2023 MTV video music awards and just recently played a pop-up set in NYC’s Times Square, in the lead up to their appearance at the 2024 VMA’s, which they received a nomination for. Imagine that- good rock back on MTV. I dropped a sub and can’t wait to see more. 😊

Great reaction! Evolve at the MTV VMAs is a masterclass in performing! Z live from the Pepsi center is sizzling hot. Automatic Sun at MTV push is great. Also Automatic Sun filmed at Tecate Pal Norte festival with studio audio is an amazing audio to match a hard rocking song! That should give you a good start. They've released "Disciple" (and others) and it's amazing. It really captures their essence and does a fantastic job of capturing the crowd energy.

Thanks for the reaction, I agree with a lot of your sentiments. • The lyrics are a really strong empowering message IMHO • I like that they did not try to do too much, which on one hand makes the music a bit less complex than either band’s other offerings, but it makes it that 8 players can play it and make it clean. It would be really easy to make a big'ol hot mess of this if they all tried to do too much. • The trade-offs really point out to me that each of the instrumentalists are so individually skilled and approach their parts in slightly different ways. No winners or losers. No battle. Just a lovely 4 or 8 beat display of the variety of approaches and talents for a solo section. • It is nice and compact at 3:21. I have seen plenty of collabs over the years which turn into rambling oeuvres that don't go anywhere musically. This one just feels nice and tidy to me.
