In today's vlog we explore Malang, check out the super fun transport museum (largest in Asia) called museum Angkut in Batu city then drive to Bromo-Tengger-Semeru National Park - and the drive there is absolutely breathtaking!

Museum Angkut is amazing. You would never expect so many cars in that location. I was surprised by all the old American muscle cars from the 60's. Your travel pace is crazy! Seems like you miss so many opportunities in the areas you travel from lack of time.

The Museum Angkut + is actually located in Small town near Malang called Batu, even Batu surrounded by Malang, but it's a different city.
Batu also has another name called "Kota Wisata Batu" in English may be " Batu tourism city.
because there is a lot of tourism places in that town.

I left my hometown of Batu in early 90s and the past 20 years, Batu just changed so much.

@@JanetNewenham Indeed. The street that I used to live now transform as business area. It used to be a residential area, there were just few small shops for grocery (mom and pop shop), small farms, most of the houses had a garden in front yard. Now all the houses and shops just feet away from the street. Lack of city plan and people do not respect the city zoning (corruption usually involved) create this problem. If I go back to my old neighborhood, I don't feel nostalgic because nothing reminds me of the good old days. I just go hiking around the hill and the mountain that so far remain the same. This is the cost of rapid development.

Actually Museum Angkut is in Batu city about 20 km from Malang city. Formerly a part of Regency of Malang but now separate city.

I've been to the Museum Angkut not long after the museum was inaugurated, around 2014. As far as I remember, what seemed different was that more planes were on display there. How much is the ticket price when you get there ?
