    This simple recipe is what I used for some fresh salmon that I cooked the night before. I find small channels like this are the best for learning how to vary my cooking. Arigato gozaimasu!

    Do you discard the crust? I prefer no crust, but I don’t like to waste the food.

      I stock them up in the freezer and when I have certain amount I do it like French toast.

    Is there a substitute for cucumber? I'm not a huge fan of cucumbers. Or is it actually worth trying with the cucumbers?

      You can just pass the cucumber or use lettuce instead 😉

      @@Dynasty123 ....my mom used chopped celery and mild onion, both crisp, and adding their unique flavors---with one sweet and the other salty. I like dry lettuce leaves acting as a barrier to prevent the bread 🍞 from turning soggy.

      I would say it is not necessary, sometimes it brings out the fishy flavor canned tuna may have. I substitute chopped apple or celery. Though I do sometimes like a few cucumber spears on the side.

      @@asakusa-tokyokitchen ありがとうございます! The American tuna can size is bigger, so I used more tuna, but it was still delicious. Next time I’ll use half the American size can.

    I don’t understand why you wrap in Saran Wrap, then unwrap and throw away. So wasteful and useless. Probably ends up in the ocean and chokes the tuna.
