This simple recipe is what I used for some fresh salmon that I cooked the night before. I find small channels like this are the best for learning how to vary my cooking. Arigato gozaimasu!
That's so true! No need for extra-long flashy intros, no cutaways to stock footage, no product placement. Just straight to the point, compact and clear.
Really so much cucumber? I want to try this tomorrow and i wonder if this would taste too "cucumbersome"? Thank you for providing this wonderful recipe 😀 i subscribed to your channel!
@@Dynasty123 ....my mom used chopped celery and mild onion, both crisp, and adding their unique flavors---with one sweet and the other salty. I like dry lettuce leaves acting as a barrier to prevent the bread 🍞 from turning soggy.
I would say it is not necessary, sometimes it brings out the fishy flavor canned tuna may have. I substitute chopped apple or celery. Though I do sometimes like a few cucumber spears on the side.
@@asakusa-tokyokitchen ありがとうございます! The American tuna can size is bigger, so I used more tuna, but it was still delicious. Next time I’ll use half the American size can.

t's a delicious tuna sandwich recipe. There are many good tips and I will come often and watch other cooking videos.
I love your plating.. thanks for this idea!
This might be a silly question: why do you let the sandwich sit for 5 mins?
So that it settles. This way, bread and tuna filling kinda harmonize😉.
That’s makes sense! Thank you for replying
I’m all for simple sandwiches and this looks so delicious I will give it a try!😋
Hope you enjoy 😊!
Japanese menu is all about presentation that looks neat but when it comes to variety and taste, just so, so..

Do you discard the crust? I prefer no crust, but I don’t like to waste the food.
I stock them up in the freezer and when I have certain amount I do it like French toast.
@@asakusa-tokyokitchen Love that! I’m going to try it. ☺️
I just made this and it was so good. Can’t wait to eat more of it later
I always waiting for youre video and excited to learn and learn japanese foods i love ❤️
Happy cooking and eating !
Thank you for the great video, why do you remove the moisture from the cucumber with the napkin?
Because it will make the whole sandwich soggy.
@@asakusa-tokyokitchen understandable
I will give a try. Thank you 🙏
Thank you so much for this, it looks amazing!!!
Thank you so much 🥰! It’s DELICIOUS!
Love a good tuna sandwich from family mart here in Okinawa. I love it!

It’s ok to adjust the amount of cucumber to your taste 😊
@@asakusa-tokyokitchen I made it today and it was soooo delicious 😀❤

It looks pretty good but I think too little. I'm gonna need like 6 of those.
As much as you like 🤣👍🏻🎶
Thank you for sharing I will make some 🙏

Is there a substitute for cucumber? I'm not a huge fan of cucumbers. Or is it actually worth trying with the cucumbers?
You can just pass the cucumber or use lettuce instead 😉
@@asakusa-tokyokitchen thank you! I figured lettuce would work but I was curious what your opinion was.

спасибо!
Why the plastic wrapping?
To make sure it doesn’t dry out but it’s not a must.
Subbed!
Thanks 🥰🎶
I don’t understand why you wrap in Saran Wrap, then unwrap and throw away. So wasteful and useless. Probably ends up in the ocean and chokes the tuna.
DO YOU NEED SOME VICKS??
Lol thank you. I'm not the only one.
🤣
White bread? Cut the crusts off? Terrible!
