Roger Waters and David Gilmour Live at the O2, London - May 12, 2011 - Comfortably Numb

Roger Waters und David Gilmour zusammen auf der Bühne, das 3. Mal seit "Live 8" und dem "Hoping Foundation" Charity - Auftritt.
David Gilmour steht nach 30 Jahren wieder oben auf der Mauer um die Show mit seiner Stimme und seinen Soli zu bereichern.
Ich wünschte, ich wäre dabei gewesen. Prag war schon genial und ich freue mich auf München, wird sicher wieder der Wahnsinn, auch wenn Gilmour und Mason leider nicht dabei sind.

I grew up listening to Pink Floyd. Back then there were no CD's, no Mp3's...just vinil...and great bands. Nowadays I listen to the music children listen to and just feel sorry for them for they admire a bunch of pretty faces that can't even do a decent cover (like one I heard some days ago of The Cure's - Boys don't cry).
I no longer have my LP's...but we will always have the greatness of their music...

Ouso Pink Floyd desde 1972 quando comprei o primeiro disco (LP), são 40 anos curtindo essa banda; tenho três filhos (20 anos,31anos e 34 anos), todos aprenderam a admirar o trabalho. Será difícil acontecer algo parecido.

I guess that's preference, I absolutely love Brothers in Arms, but nothing comes close to Pink Floyd for me personally. I cried for the first half hour, when I saw the Wall first last year. And will probably do it again when I see it next year :D

I would respectfully disagree since roger wrote the lyrics, and if you read and listen to the lyrics such as time, you would see he is an artist in his own right. Its only been in recent years that he is more mobile and engaging with his audience cause he also used to just stand there play for the most part.

Are you sure? Mark Knopfler wrote some great music, like Brothers in Arms and Telegraph Road for example. Check out on youtube "Dire Straits - Brothers In Arms LIVE (On the Night, 1993)"...

shit...I worship gilmour more than waters indeed! but that's just shit. today dave says he was worng about comfortably numb sounding the bad the waters way (this version/album version)...I dig CN in pulse too. but this version is just better and dave admnits that today! I prefer the 4 song live 8 gig over the whole pulse sjow actually...call me crazy, but pulse is over the top and too sterile, too cold...I watched it on MDMA and it sucked haha ;)

@alexcubata I'd love to see one last Pink Floyd tour to end this chapter in dignity. I was never able to see Floyd, as I'm way too young but I love this band like no other and there are no modern artists who could replace the greatness of Pink Floyd.
I had tears in my eyes when I saw Roger Waters performing "The Wall" in Prague last month. As you said the music will last forever, so thank you Pink Floyd, even if there will be no tour.

God bless them both. They've given so many so much meaning and hope when life throws curve balls. Roger is the greatest lyricist/songwriter ever, and David is the greatest ever exponent of getting the most meaningful music out of each note/chord on a guitar. No band has ever written music in such diverse styles and genres, or written lyrics about so many aspects of life with such deep insight, while making them seamlessly fit in with the music. Pink Floyd will be the classical music of the 23rd century.
