      Doing a new dance-er-cise routine. I took it very easy because I have a lot of foot injuries, and had a bad deltoid sprain 18 months ago. Never had a moment of specific injury, but after I exercised I cleaned house for hours and at the end of the day was in a lot of pain. I thought it was the deltoid injury coming back to haunt me by podiatrist diagnosed it as being the tendon.

    I have beaten posterior tibial tendonitis in 9 months!
    Read closely I am writing this because I would have died for someone to tell me this information when this first started when I though there was no way out. Now through all of these steps make sure to take Moringa, turmeric ,ginger and cocoa which are highly recommended for beating the inflammation (make sure to check with your doctor first to make sure these are safe for you to take 1st) and take collagen 1 and 3 preferably from green lakes or native path as well as tendoforte collagen from salt wrap or sparkling wellness which is a little cheaper. Now I was in agonzing pain with both ankles every time I would walk it literally felt like someone was shoving a staple through my tendon so it may depend on the amount of damage done with the time lapse needed on each step but I can only personally share my experience and if I would have done this the right way I probably could have healed a lot faster so here we go. Step 1. Relax your ankle for the first month to two always walk with a brace never unsupported as well as a shoe with a good orthotic always ( orthofeet reccomended) and ice to bring down infllammation I just shoved my foot in an ice bucket but any way is possible to help bring down the inflammation when walking supported gets noticeably easier its time for step 2.Step 2. once the inflammation stage starts to get better this is when stretching, rolling your legs and foot as well as taking longer walks comes into play but still always supported by an ankle brace or something just to keep you arch supported so the tendon can heal but take on a little pressure from the walking. Step 3. this should be at the 3 to 4th month time lapse once you are a professional at walking now comes strengthening a little bit more intensily with calf raises only off the ground I started with 5 the first day 10 the next until I finally made it to one hundred with out a problem from here you should be 65% improved if on any of these steps you do feel pain stop right away and go back to the earlier step you are not ready. Healing for me was a two feet ahead one step back process so be careful keep stretching and monitoring yourself. Step 4. Now when calf raises get easy start to use lotion and give your tendon a deep massage to tear up the tissue I would recommend watching a video on this first then as soon as soon as you are done walking or calf raises need to be done because the whole idea is that you are breaking up the scar tissue with the massage and realigning it with the exercise.Also start to motion your foot in a circle 5 times each way to improve mobility. By now you should be on month six and 85% better now its time for the final step. Step 5. Now at this point you should be more able to walk with out a cast unsupported not is when I started using the theraband I would point my calf down with the band on the ball of my foot and pull it in start with the weakest band start 5 then next day ten and until you can hit twenty then fifty by now you should be at almost 100%. Things to not do do not use n said cream I did this and luckily stopped and found out later it actually weakens the tendon long run. If your foot starts breaking down like all the tendons in my foot did stretch and stick in a bucket of ice every night eventually won't have to but from steps 2 to 4 this was a nightly ritual. Subliminal and mprphic fields may help speed up the process as well I definitely recommend sapien medicine for the fields. Like I said this can be done in a good amount of time if done right. Any question feel free to ask Good luck!

    Very helpful especially on the cross training. My left foot has got the works ie. accessory navicular, flat foot, plantar fasciitis and posterior tibial tendonitis. Despite wearing running shoes with proper support combined with calf compression and plantar fasciitis socks, I can't enjoy a simple walk without suffering a flare up afterwards. Guaranteed to happen. It's just a matter of time before the swelling begins. Running is out of the question. I'm dead if a dog or any wild animal chases me.

      I must follow up on these comments, hopefully you'll see them. I've been dealing with pain for the same reason for over a year now, and it makes me depressed to not be able to take walks or just forget about the pain for even a second 😔 I stretch, exercise, try to vary it but it's really hopeless, my foot is so extremely sore in the morning. I've been doing the exercises almost on a daily basis. I have the right shoes, insoles, been to orthopedics, used tape, you name it and really don't know what to do anymore 😔

      Try to shower in warm water once your overworked feet kinda healed from active bleeding inside?
      I got my calf muscles looser with this way.
      I got into this situation because of inactive due to pandemic, wrong stiff shoes, plus I'm gaining too much weight and weird habit of showering only cold water.
      I felt so much better with warm showers and very little stretching exercise as instructed by my physiotherapists (I didn't 100% compliant to their advices. They asked me to do ice pack on the feet and then stretch my feet actively and passively, and suggested me to do 3 sessions a day, morning noon night, with 30 sets. That's really insane! I was like 'Aren't that making me even more in pain????')

I noticed today that I continue to have deep (dark) bruising along the tendon. I guess I kept hoping it would just heal on its own. As an athlete I'm right in the middle of my season so I plan on continuing but I'm going to focus on doing what I can in other areas.

    Thirty years ago my right Achilles tendon snapped at the heel attachment after chronic tendinitis. I had it surgically repaired. Later I developed SI issues that I’ve had for over 20 years. In the last few years I have struggled off and on with tibial tendinitis. I have used an orthotic that helped some as did some exercises. But I have found the most relief with exercises focused on strengthening and stabilizing my hips and pelvis as well as specific foot exercises. I also use some CBD cream when it flairs up and massage my feet some.

    I've been exercising and living pretty active for almost 30 years. I developed this condition about 4 months ago. It was definitely from overuse because I pushed it a little too hard the previous few weeks. Pretty amazing how debilitating it can be. I had to stop all standing cardio and switch to an exercise bike. Weightlifting didn't bother it at all except for calf raises.
    For treatment I used Voodoo muscle flossing bands (check out some videos on it. It can be used for pretty much any area of the body except shoulders).
    I alternated Ice, Heat, and red light therapy throughout the day.
    I purchased some very high arch supports for my shoes. I also had to greatly reduce my dog walks from a few miles to just around the block (they were not happy, lol).
    I also used kinesiology tape on the area daily.
    Luckily I caught mine early and was able to heal it in about 4-5 weeks.

    I have this. Confirmed via MRI. Yes I was running but ultimately was told my orthotic (Powerstep brand) was the root cause because they're too stiff. Local orthotic guy changed me to the 10 Second brand orthotic and then I had him make me a custom orthotic for the shoes I use for running. I'm still in PT and received a steroid injection 3 months ago. Hopefully once I get over this acute stage of pain I can resume some running again without this flaring back up. Took me 4 full months to get over this last year. 6 weeks of running after that is all it took to screw it back up. At least I finally know what caused it.

    Stretching and massaging is fine- mind you strengthening the ,supination‘ movement meaning seching your foot is the only long term solution.
    Look up videos ,exercises for overpronation‘ or ,exercises to strengthen tibialis posterior‘. Muscle mind connection and a resistance band is all you need :) plus gravity of course.
    Also in addition to tibialis posterior (the back shin muscle), you will gain massive pain reduction by training tobialis anterior (front shin muscle) and most importantly the ,flexor hallucis longus‘ (big toe flexibg muscle). Weak big toe = weak body!

    Thanks for the valuable information, i tested your theory, and it worked immediatelly without spending a penny, i just put something soft and around inch thick under the foot arch on my shower sandals and start walking, and the pain is gone, and i walked better, i went immediatelly to pharmacy and i bought a shoes insert that has a support for the foot arch, of course i have to put a stretchable bandage that goes around my foot passing by the arch and goes arround the leg, because i have pain on the area of what called foot saphenous N also, and now i can walk confortably, as long as i want, i wich i start the treatemnt a month ago when the pain was minor and dosent affect my walk, i ignore it and it gone worse and worse till i start walking like i have a broken bone on my foot.
    But i have no idea how that happen, i went to sleep with no problem, and when i wake up in the morning, i notice a little pain in my foot when i walk, nothing major.

    • @DrTomBiernacki
      @DrTomBiernacki  3 года назад +3

      Generally an injured muscle cannot be strengthened, the idea is for it to be healthy and then strengthened so it does not happen again. A big mistake is overworking an already overworked and injured muscle. This varies and can be evaluated by a doctor if worried and specifics are needed.

    • @tylermccaig

    • @DrTomBiernacki
      @DrTomBiernacki  3 года назад +2

      So definitely this is not specific information to you, but in general we try easing back from tendonitis by trialing activity. This means I personally would deadlift just the bar and see how it goes, then maybe the bar with 45s, then maybe more for a few reps and see how it feels. In general with good shoes and support if the foot does not overpronate there is not intense pressure on the PT tendon. But always get checked out if worried.
