  • This is known as a box gutter, I am installing lead sheet using a traditional method known as bossing to shape the lead. This method is my favourite method where we would normally cut and weld.
Certain jobs do not allow the use of welding and this method overcomes the issues this presents.
If you’d like to see the individual sections in more detail keep an eye on the page?

My late father in law was a master plumber who specialised in scotch roll lead roofing. He was from Scotland and he did many many roofs in London . He always made a small lead thistle and welded it on somewhere secret . He never wore gloves and died at 70 . His manner was that of always pissed off . This was probably due to the amount of lead in his system.

From someone that occasionally works with steel and aluminium, watching you work lead is amazing. How you can spread it out and shrink it over things is so cool. 👌

Skills undeniable, but there is no way that lead rooimg is at all safe for the environment. Every rain will be contaminated for generations.

Isn't it so heavy that you could just use roof tiles like here in Europe?
