GIRL...if I didn't have two other dresses lined up to sew, I'd make one of these in a heartbeat. Alas...I start work again tomorrow, so I'll put this lovely tutorial aside for a bit. But rest assured, I WILL be making a Skyline dress soon. I love it.
This dress is so perfect for everyday! I could see myself wearing to run errands and do laundry. Thank you for the tip on creating bias tape in two pieces. I never thought of that!
I don’t know how to sew but I hope to learn someday and understand what’s going on when I rewatch these videos!! Your videos are super comforting to watch in the background while I crochet
been obsessed with your videos/tutorials since I saw you making a crossbody bag - and making it look so easy!! - and this might be the first clothing piece I ever try sewing, so excited!!!! going to go after fabrics this weekend 💕💕💕💕 thank you for the amazing job you do!!
I’m a pretty beginner sewer but am learning more with each project. I want to hack this to make a dress for my 3 year old daughter so we can match 🥰 would that be fairly easy to accomplish? Any guidance?
I have a question: if I only want one long tier, do I cut a square in that size or is it curved then? Because it needs to be wider on the bottom than on the bust area or does that automatically happen because of the gathering?
@@HiSydGraham I didn’t buy the pattern because I bought a similar one just a few days before you announced your pattern😭😭😭 I for sure would have bought it, I love it more than the one I bought but I sadly don’t have the money to buy you pattern additionally..🙈
I never knew you are suppose to “finish” your seams. None of my traditional patterns you buy mention this. They mention trimming it but thats it. I usually use a tighter stitch though. Is it really necessary?

Cute! Tracing her t shirts would give you a good starting place for a bodice. Then just rectangles for the skirt.
Hi! Do you always recommend prewashing your fabric? Have you had any issues from not pre-washing?
Yes you should prewash your fabric! I talk more about this in my fabric deep dive video: ruclips.net/video/6wzGNbVXQWI/видео.html
Hermoso ❤ lo haré
Which size bias tape maker do you use for this dress?

It's just a rectangle! The measurements for a skirt without tiers are on page 12 of the instructions.

Its so pretty and nice! Maybe a great beach dress and wear a bikini underneath. I think I'd make this as a two tiered t-shirt.
