Living the Russian Stereotype 😂

- In this episode, we visit Novosibirsk and Yekaterinburg on the Trans Siberian Railway.
Most of this Russia travel vlog is spent in the Ural Mountains, the barrier between Western Russia, and Siberia. We join with TOCHKA 4x4 a local adventure group for some serious off roading.
While we realize that happened next is not an accurate depiction of everyday Russia, we were surprised with some traditional music, and guns. We were offered the opportunity my birthday by firing off a few rounds in the forest, we had never done this before. Though, I admit we wanted to. This small part of Russian culture is definitely the Russian stereotype, and it was a lot of fun to join the locals celebrating this way for a night.
Next we met a group of pagans living simply in the forest. Here, we helped them create trinkets with molten metal, another first for me.
Lastly we were invited to dinner at the house of a Russian Oligarch (Who had a tank in his front yard), and drank vodka while being served some incredible Russian Food.
A bit of a background story. This is a train journey of 10,000 km across Russia, the biggest country in the world. 25 days to visit Saint Petersburg, Moscow, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Ulan-Ude, and Vladivostok.

Chase Your Fears 🐉
We realize that happened in this vlog is not an accurate depiction of everyday Russia.
Though welcomed the wilder side of this beautiful country, and had a lot of shooting the guns, and partying with the locals.
The events of this vlog were all condensed to fit the time, so keep in mind this all didn't happen at once.
I hope you enjoyed this crazy day in Russia. It's one I'll never forget! 🐉
Shooting aks and doing crazy things sounds like an everyday thing in Russia ..✊
Russians love mushroom foraging just as much as the romanians
@@trilliamogdlocog4986 no u must have a license for hunting to get a gun
@@trilliamogdlocog4986 shooting in the evening in nature is a way to scare away wild animals from the camp. signal flare gun, shotgun(this gun looks like AK but not an AK)-what difference does it make to a bear)
This is an every weekend thing in washington xD. I love how Mike is always shy to shoot a gun then asks for it to be reloaded immediately with a big ass grin like with the flaco brothers.
This has got to be one of your best episodes ever Mike! Looked like such a fun crazy day!
That’s great to hear man! It was incredible! The Russians really made use feel like brothers ❤️
I just watched all the videos from this trip. This, BY FAR, would have been my favorite part. The Pagans, the casting, the drinking in the woods with cool people. Man, I need this in my life.
You are one of the most underrated content creators around brother. I love what you do, thank you for sharing your adventures
Cheers for that! 🐉🐉🐉
Once again. Amazing country. Thank you for the video.
One of the best vloggers. I've been watching for so long and I just realized your videos don't have ads. WOW!!! This guy. 👍👍🙏
I live in rural northern Maine on the Canadian border with New Brunswick. This looks like home to me. The people are much like the people here too. We also go mudding in the woods like this. It’s so cool how we can be so far apart but so alike
It doesn't feel like 20:46 mins long. I'm loving this tans sib series.
So good to hear that. The next episode is a little crazy haha
The High 5 says it all!!! Lol
The best part of your trip to Russia is the fact that you were a team. And the three of us had filmed vlogs. That's an amazing perspective! Same adventures, different angles. Being with people is so much fun, so essential for enjoying traveling. You are the funniest though, and most passionate, in the sense of openhearted. What a great journey to watch.
I feel like most Russian men are "crazy" in a good way. They live life with such passion and wild abandon. It seems like the moment of birth, testosterone just courses through their veins, much like the vodka they are famous for. As an Asian hermit, it's both scary and exciting to see. Great episode as always, Mike. здоровье!
Noted,@@montanasnowman3138. Cheers!
They all sound like borat
@@avichai83 you're not wrong, but surely a very exaggerated eastern European accent.
Hi from Yekaterinburg! Such an amazing trip you had guys. And big thanks to this crazy off-road team, really warm welcoming.
The warmest welcome! Honestly they were some of the most hospitable people we met on the trip! I miss them!

Happy birthday, Mike and pls, be safe always💝
Off roading, shots , food, sauna, guns , Tanks ,think I could fit right in there
A few more cute russian girls and it would be perfect. ;-)
Hahaha I definitely loved it. They showed me a birthday I’ll never forget!
@@xcalibertrekker6693 ) The guys went to quite remote places. The old Russian rules are not completely forgotten there. And for "a few more cute russian willage girls" you can get a "few times a piece of fence on the head" )
The hot air balloon 🎈 time-lapse was super cool.
Pretty cool to see that they do exactly the same thing as Americans. They are our brothers to the East and we have so much in common
Glad to see different and unique side of #Russia 🙏🇳🇵🇳🇵
Truly amazingly beautiful people!, what a great experience!.
Happy birthday, Mik2x. Wishing you good health and more blessings to come in your 2020 adventure.🍰🍰🍰🍾
Thanks so much! I'll be back in PHL soon! 🐉
@@fearlessandfar #Fighterboys ❤❤👏👏👏👏
Haha, what a wild and crazy vlog. That off-roading looks insane. And who doesn't love a good fungi pun? 😂I gotta know how you're able to walk around the forest barefoot, though. Wait, I forgot...they're made of vibranium! I love your open-mindedness about paganism. It's something I've always found interesting and would like to learn more about. I've seen figures like the one you made before. Fascinating stuff, man! Also, your portrait shots of the people in the places you visit always warm my heart. They're so beautifully done. Can't wait to watch more! 🐉🐉🐉🐉
This is so far my fave video! What an awesome experience 😁
Stratsvootye Russia..🇷🇺
That was a crazy and funny episode, loved it! But despite what you said, I think it is just a perfect picture of everyday Russian life. Well, I live in Ukraine, but crazy shit like this happens all the too, lol. Love this series!!
Haha I need to go to Ukraine sometime!
Very interesting video Mike , I say yes to the beer and no to the raw chicken 🐔. A lot of nice people 😍
Man yo content is so great I don't even know how i found this channel but im glued. BIG SHOUT OUT TO YOU.

Happy Birthday Fearless and Far awesome scenery beautiful drone footage thank you for sharing and have a wonderful weekend guys
Thanks so much! We had a wild time!
Your welcome Fearless and Far
that figure looks like a rough depiction of a man in a bird outfit.
also that looks like the most beautiful forest ever. i would love to visit there someday.
I know you make 20 min videos but man ,I can watch you 24/7.
Happy birthday Mike ... God bless ( fr. Philippines )
New subscriber from Philippines! Your vids are so sick! Its really cool man!
Greetings from the year 2021 from a small town that you definitely passed through when you were driving on the Trans-Siberian Railway. Yekaterinburg is the Urals, Siberia begins a little further away.
P.S. I hope that most have realized that such marginals are now an exception to the rule than typical Russians. (Sorry for used google translate)

Hello Mike
This Vlogs is something new 👌👌👌Good Vibes 😄😄😄🥂🥂🥂🎂🎂🎂🎉🎉🎉🎥🎥🎥😍😍😍💙💙💙
Amazing point of view! Thank you so so much for sharing. I have left Russia about 23 years ago to come to Canada and never had a privilege to do a trip that u guys did! At this point it is still a dream! Thank you for inspiration. :) ( one word of caution though - also as a Canadian shooting girl (aka former IPSC shooter) - please wear eye protection any time u shoot any type of weapon - aside from that - good to see that a person who was handling guns knew what he was doing) looks like u had fun & again, tnx for share. ... Chin-chin.
It's been 26 years for me.
Trying to ring courage to go.
The gun handling was pretty hard to watch. The host’s obviously regretted their own generosity immediately.
This is a good video!!! The raw Mike I always enjoy watching. Why wasn't this showing on your video list?!
Strange. What do you mean it wasn't being shown? It's not on the list at all? Maybe check a little bit lower?
it's in the playlists "Trans Siberian Railway 2019" but not showing in the main "videos" list. Maybe that's why it's not getting more views?!
OOPS...IT JUST APPEARED! my bad?!
Yaro 11.30! I was crying)))
omg this is so awesome....out for a rip, pit party, shots fired Canadian style in the Ural Mountains !!!! I love it !!!! Yep thats how we do it back in Canada !!!!
like from Yekaterinburg :)
Crazy russian fun!
That's not a good example of everyday life in Russia, but it's very fun to watch :D
Mike ur super cool man , always so respectful . Have u ever been to Houston Texas?
I am learning a lot from your trip Mike. Russia is so diverse. But what fascinates me are those pagans that live in the forest. With the fascinating religions that are popping up from all over the world, those people choose their own system of religion that is from way back then, entirely unique to them and suits their choice. Thank you for bringing us with you in your travels Mike! God bless! ❤
If you spoke My language I could tell you a bit more about My religion.
Good lock !
You deserve million subs bro
That Russian fire arm instructor was smart not to switch that AK 74 to full auto and give you a full clip. May have ended badly with how you help it
So cool man
I just can't wait to go hiking like this working hard to save money for my future adventures like Mike
Love from india mate! Stay safe stay healthy 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
That sign at 3:46 is really interesting, and worth the effort translating!! Maybe an actual Russian speaker could reply to this comment with a good English translation?? I could not understand everything from google translate. It seems like a very interesting story.
"Goes with the shots, cause you'll wanna kill the salmonella" HAHAHAHAH
It’s five o’clock 🕔 somewhere 🎧🎼🎹
Glad you enjoyed yourselves. As an FYI, the ribbons are not a shamanic/animist tradition, it's a Buddhist tradition. A lot of the Altaic/SIberic peoples are/were Buddhist. Also, Old Believers are absolutely *not* pagans - they are Russian Orthodox Christians who split off from the Russian Orthodox Church when it mandated a change in certain worship traditions (like how many fingers to use when making the sign of the cross) to harmonise with the Greek Orthodox Church. Traditionalists declined, were pronounced schismatics and heretics, and were persecuted - so they picked up, and walked off into the woods of the Urals and Siberia, where they could continue practicing their faith as they pleased and govern themselves. This is why they are called Old Believers - they believe according to the Old, pre-Byzantine harmonisation tradition and lithurgy.
20:21 I think you forgot a censor 😂😂

very beautiful
Of course there's a Russian in an Addidas track suit drinking with you. 🤣
10:20 ахахаххаха, она хотела с иностранцами замутить, а её местный гопник обхаживает. Вот так Матрёна, жизнь несправедлива!
Yaroslav is right. «Na zdorovie» not a cheer, it means «With plesure» or literally «To your health», when u say «Thank» to someone.
Synonym is «Pozhaluysta». More grammar correct way to cheer is «Za zdorovie» but it isn't most common way to say «Cheers» in Russian
9:57: They explain they do not say Nazdarovia, claiming it comes from Polish. Actually it comes from Български (Bulgarian), the country that invented the Cyrillic alphabet (Свети Кирил и Методий, But that's another long story to explain). Russian comes from Bulgarian and not the other way around what many people think. In Bulgarian it's "Наздраве" which literally would translate to something like "For (На) Health (Здраве)"
7:24 You're driving through a rubber plantation right?
Oh god.... i'm from Yekaterinburg city

"wir waren unschuldig und bekamen trotzdem 9 Jahre" did the girl who waits for you at the train station finished school in germany or why that shirt?
This trip is absolutely amazing. Thank you for not getting into politics. It is interesting how it seems that you, coming from another country that is not communist is so welcomed by the many people that you meet and interact with. They all seem amazing. This is a wonderful set of videos through Russia. Keep up the amazing and good videos.
How old are your stereotypes?
Skrillex? Why not play some music instead…. Thanks for the videos cheers!!

I wonder how nobody explained that Russians don't say "na zdorovie" when drink =)
9:55 - как раз объясняют ))
Next time I’m coming with you

You know it! 🙌🏻
What do you think “main world religions“ started with before Jesus and Mohammed and Buddha… To each their own, I take all that is good with any religion I come across but leave the negativity behind, organized religion tends to have a large amount of negativity in the western world. So it is refreshing to be around folks who focus on Joy happiness gratitude helping others etc… Thanks for the videos, cheers! Reminds me of camping in South Carolina drink, eat, drink, shoot, drink, eat, drink, shoot guns lol wake up in the middle of the woods on a hike to some pagans, that’s definitely South Carolina y’all
we have to know story of each one

what's up DRAGONS?
Heyoooo! 🐉🐉🐉🐉
when is the New Fighterboys reunion?
How does it feel mike that a bunch of people came over when you were in the woods and encourage you to try their guns? No hesitation at all? Or somewhat you feel unsafe at first? Damn, made me nervous for your safety.

Shooting a makarov pistol & an AK47 rifle..Riding an iconic T34 tanks..that's authentic russian experience indeed
It was an interesting day. It was fun to play with some of these old toys, but we realize this is not really Russia. It was great to party with the locals though!

i burst out laughing when you call the old believers pagans. then you didn't even bother to do any research to find out that they would be horrified by the idea of calling them that. you just went with it. ya wanna go get real fearless and far? go to williamsburg and call the hasids pagan.
They seem so peaceful when they aren't killing innocent people or oppressing minorities.
We are not that different we just wanna live eat, drink, shoot guns
Wow Great but i am Hammad Khatri's Fans
I am from that religion. As we see it, the religion Christianity is probably based on.
PS (-:.
🙂💬🌹?
Where is yoyr girlfriend???
Leave it to a Canadian for making fun of the US for having so many guns but then go out and enjoy shooting a gun. Not everyone who has a gun is going to use it to shoot someone and for those who do use a gun to shoot someone it is they who are to blame not the gun. Punish the people not the tool/instrument they use to kill people. We don’t shut McDonalds down to help people loose weight so why get rid of guns to deal with murderers.
