    I have a 2016 and I luv it no complaints here. Its how you treat your car, if you keep up with maintenance ANY car can last and be great. so keep the negativity to yourself nobody likes a debbi downer.

    I bought this car about two weeks ago with the 2.4 litre engine and now I am in the rabbit hole of videos because I absolutely love it.

    I've driven a few of these... It's a great car... On paper. In the real world, if you look up "meh" online, a picture of the Hyundai Santa Fe Sport will come up.

    • @foxtrot685
      @foxtrot685 9 лет назад

      Also, Eli, be mindful that I never said it was a bad car, I just said it was "meh". The Camry isn't a bad car but I think everyone will agree that it is very "meh". And it's constantly top rated.

    I own a 2015 Santa Fe 2,0t and all I can say is it is harder on gas than my 2014 Jeep Cherokee with a 3.2...On the highway at approx. 118kph my Cherokee was averaging 8 liters per 100 km and the engine was revving around 1800rpm. The Santa Fe at the same speed averages 10l/100km with an average rpm of 2500. So,the 3.2 from the Cherokee was more economical than 2.0T of the Santa Fe...

      To be fair,I tested it a couple more times and the Santa Fe is closer to 9l/100km at 2300rpm...it's not much but it's closer to reality...something else bugs me about the Santa Fe ...The bluetooth system for the phone is not as effective as the one I had on the Cherokee. Jeep bluetooth is way better and easier than the one on the Santa Fe.

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  8 лет назад

      Peter Bond We've found that there definitely are differences between the Bluetooth connections in different makes of cars. Not all Blue-teeth are created equally. (In case you weren't sure. We made that word up.)

      loll...yeap,that's for sure...I guess no car for general population is perfect...

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  8 лет назад

      Peter Bond That is a very true statement, Peter Bond. Funny thing is, that statement extends to exclusive populations, too. One thing that owners of exotic vehicles understand is that their vehicles are not perfect. And typically with those types of cars, the failures that occur are almost never heard of in mainstream vehicles. We are aware of things such as trunk or fuel door releases not working, sun visors drooping down, and even dashboards separating. Pretty much no cars are perfect, but most today are good and there are even some great cars. Great, we say again, but not perfect. We appreciate your comments. Thanks for watching!

    A bit hard to hear over background music. It's nice music but a little less volume on it please. :)

      +Breandan Sharpe Thank you for sharing, Breandan Sharpe. We have to admit, this was one of AutoAcademics' earlier video reviews and believe it or not, we started off primarily as just car guys/gals, not videographers. But, if you check out some of our more recent work, you will hopefully see that the quality has improved a bit... and that includes the volume of the music. LOL Again, we appreciate you sharing and thanks for watching, too!

    There is evident turbo lag. It kicks and is abrupt in pick up. There is nothing smooth on. The power band is not broad at all.

      giveyouashot We agree, giveyouashot. While we did get used to it over the course of the week that we had it, it was definitely noticeable initially. Thanks for sharing and thanks for watching, too!

      You're correct, Kathy Schwendeman. While we didn't know that at the time of this video, we have since learned it and have been saying it correctly for a number of years now. Check out some of our newer reviews and you'll see. 😁 We appreciate you keeping us honest, though. Thanks for watching!

    Wow this looks great on the outside but equally wow, totally crap on the inside...talk about disconnect. 45 cu ft of cargo room is also substandard...once you dig into the inside and drivetrain this thing blows....

    • @brucec43
      @brucec43 8 лет назад +1

      +Troy Power It's bigger than most compact crossovers. Cargo volume with rear seats down is 71.5 cu ft, which is bigger than the Volvo XC60/BMW X3/Audi Q5/ Cadillac class vehicles, and more than it's only direct competitor, the Murano, with 69.9 cu ft. Dude, it's a $35,000 loaded crossover. What are you expecting?

      +Randy Simmons Huh? We are confused by your comment, Randy Simmons. How is the music in this automotive review video even considered for appreciation? While we appreciate you sharing with us your reason for unsubscribing, we are rather perplexed by it. We are disappointed that you have interpreted the lyric-less upbeat background music in our video as anything other than that. However, we thank you for sharing and for watching and we do hope you will reconsider your decision that is based on a video that we produced well over a year ago.
