All of the songs were executed quite well. I was searching for a version of Local Hero theme (not to be confused with another song called 'Going Home'). The lead piper has a good feel for the music. But he seemed to have an attack of the unkind chanter reed starting the Local Hero theme. The finicky nature of bagpipes means you are never sure what a reed will do and it seems a reed is most likely to get tempermental at JUST the time you are the only person playing! Good Job!
CedarScott I beg to differ. These guys need to slow down when they aren’t playing for a parade at the Police College. They were playing their 4/4s as though they were all rounded and they barely held the dotted notes at all. Their chanters were also flat and the Pipe Major barely played any embellishments in his solo for Steam Train to Mallaig. Overall poor execution .
Oh God, I really miss the old days.
