Welcome back guys! We have something exciting today! Today we are taking this 1973 De Tomaso Pantera out for a test drive! As always If you liked the video give us a 👍and subscribe to see more videos in the future!
"I've been in love with these cars since the day I saw my very first one" You and me both buddy!
I had the rare privilege of driving a few of these Panteras when I was 16-17 years old working at the Atlanta-Hartsfield International Airport Valet parking in 1973-74. It is some of the best memories I had working there, but I was definitely too young and irresponsible to be driving this beast of a car. Today I really appreciate the beautiful craftsmanship of these Panteras more than I did back then, but now I wish I had saved up more of my retirement money to buy this collector’s jewel. The sound of this Pantera’s 351 Cleveland and exhaust is just as good today as it was back when I was 16…..It’s a Beautiful Beast!
Thank You Greg and Vanguard for sharing this awesome video, it brought back so many great memories.
Even at that price, I thought it would sell the first day. Greg has the best job in the world!
We had a yellow-orange one in my neighborhood in the early '80s. (Like a sort of Cheddar Cheese Orange, actually a really cool color.) First one I ever knowingly saw. One of my favorite cars ever since.
1972 Lafayette, La. I was in 8th grade 13 years old. I would ride my bike to the Lincoln Mercury dealer to look at this car. I absolutely love this car! More Lotto tickets please...
*Vanguard Motor Sales* What a beauty, thank-you sir for taking the time to show us. God Bless.
I totally agree with you that the rear end of the vehicle is the coolest. Especially when you’re in a loosing conclusion of a street drag race. I had a 1971 Roadrunner with a 383. It was fast but, not quick enough on that day. After seeing the red Pantera, I stupidly decided to tango with him. I was only 20 years old…and as they say the rest is history. However, my next event was more successful as I went up against a 1972 Monte Carlo with a 454. The consequence was that my girlfriend at the time was NOT happy as she was 2 car lengths away 😤
Absolutely beautiful sound. Could listen to it all day long.
The King of Rock 'n Roll had a yellow 1971 Pantera powered by the same 351 Cleveland. Apparently, Elvis once shoot up his car after he couldn't start the engine. Thank you for this ICONiC extremely rare beauty 👍👍👍
As a teen in NJ, heading up rt 23 (towards a very wealthy community known as Smoke Rise and the old Playboy Club) was a Ford/Lincoln-Mercury Dealer that was a rep for the Pantera and they had a row of five or six brand new ones. Its also hard to find one that didn't have a body kit and large Countach style wing. A truly lovely example you have.......
My favourite vehicle of all time......I fell in love with these the first time I saw them in the 70's......It's kind of a contradiction though: European looks with an american sound but it works......
Alejandro de Tomaso, Argentine designer and builder went to Italy and created the Pantera.
Italian style, American muscle all in one.
Dr Tomaso was Argentine
Motor was done by Canadian Alan Moffat in Australia - later 302 version got injection by Dick Johnson Queensland
Hell yes! Ford powered Lamborghini.
Stunning car!
The car is sweet & sounds Great
KingDig-it Designs From Bitchin rides did a Pantera & they took it up another notch & made it even better
Sweet, rather have that than a Lambo.
Love that motor, the manifold.
Listen to her Speaking Italian-American!! Plus it's Bright Red like Mama's Sunday Sauce. 🍝 Nothing sounds quite like a 351 Pantera. 😄
I could have had a yellow one in 1974, when my barber was selling his and the price was dirt cheap, but instead settled for an Opel GT lol
If this was 1/2 the price, I would put it in my driveway! Nice restoration…
I love these cars........
BEUTIFULL CARS
🙏👍😍♥️
Son of a beeeeech thats sweet😎🏎️
Great road car
Yeah I’m pretty sure that these were distributed by Lincoln mercury dealer’s
A real supercar
She's beautiful
😎👍🏽
Hermoso, lo mismo digo...
HOW MUCH FOR THIS BEYOND BEAUTIFUL CAR?!!
The Price of this Pantera is $299,900. If you have any further questions please feel free to call Tom at 248-974-9513.
WOW.
351 Cleveland 😎
how would one work on that motor? it looks hidden... nice car tho!
✓✓✓ rider. Bravo.!!!
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Why are you selling my car? I love the Pantera in this bare state, but also with the ground effects package with the wing. What a gorgeous vehicle. I am so jealous that someone else is going to be driving my car.
Oh trust me Greg feels the same way! Like he said in the video whoever buys it is lucky that he's even letting it go!
TBH this one is TOO nice.....I've seen a few survivors with a little patina that are built to be driven hard.....this one? I'd be too worried about rock chips or some crazy soccer mom in a mini van taking me out.....
@@vanguardmotorsales I can understand fully how he feels. I've loved the look of these cars for decades. I also love the exhaust note on this one. You know what? I might be able to come up with maybe $40,000 if you guys are open to offers. 👍👍😜😜
Maybe Vince Neil would buy it
Why? What happened to his old one? :D
