I owned a 1977 Gran Marquis, it was used with only 31,000 miles, it was my first car, had a 460 4 barrel engine, all options, leather seats, what a nice ride, it was painted a canary yellow, with landau roof, skirts, looked like a lincoln continental. it was a grand lady, super stylish, not a bad first car for a 19 year old, girlfriends like riding in it, i wish i still had it.
A real time capsule!!! Wonderful. Reminds me of great times when cars were really large. Thanks for showing this Beauty. Simply rare and gorgeous 😍👌👍 Greetings from Austria!!!
I love cars like this that have incredibly low miles, it's literally like going back in time. As interesting as cars like this are the real story is how does a car end up not being driven? What's the story?🤔
It's a real shame more cars like this from that time period were not saved. Yes they made little power but the styling and the way they drove and the ride was great. Made for our big American highways. What a great automobile.
SUCKED up gasoline ("400"), rode NICE, handled like a "HUGE fish outta water"! My buddy gave it to me (to get it out of his responsibility!) but I LIKED it!
@@josephwilliams4780 that's correct. I loved his LTD. Two door with high back front seats. (At least in the first couple of years). But, all in the same family of vehicles.
Grand Marquises were the ones that you bought when you had money. These were the ones that had all the options standard. You bought a Ford LTD when you needed a big car, but you either didn't have as much money or didn't feel you needed all the stuff this has.
My father had this car and I had the privilege to drive it a couple of times. Most comfortable ride ever, would cruise at 100 mph all day long. Only issue was very, very thirsty, lucky to get 10 mpg.
Bought one of these in FLA. in the late 70's. This is the first one I've seen since with this style of hub cap. Those caps were the heaviest I had ever seen. Never weighed them, but they had to be at least 20lb. Do you still have this vehicle ? It's a beauty! I used to live in the Detroit area, and I don't recall seeing you guys.
This is coming from a big caddy fan. I think it could be argued that this car is better than the closest caddy to it, the 76 fleetwood (last big one) With covered headlamps, no crappy bumper fillers, better vinyl top since it doesn't have that weird piece of vinyl on the door.
That they were LOL I had 4 of them ,thats when you could pick them up 7 or 8 years old and no one wanted them 1000 BUCKS ,got a couple for 800 ,good shape too ,but not this damn good ,Wow
That's one you really want to keep all original and not drive it. Cars are meant to drive, but you only have original once and I'd hate to see it lose it.
This dream has already been parked in someone else’s driveway but keep an eye on our website and RUclips channel because we have new inventory coming in every day! www.vanguardmotorsales.com/inventory

Greg has no shortage of enthusiasm for the vehicles he showcases but this one seemed a little special!

I'm just in awe. Never before have I seen such a clean all original car from this era. It's just incredible!
I want one of these again! My mom had a big ol land yacht that we used to cruise in. Best time machine ever.👍🏼👍🏼🐈🐈🐈🍄👽🏴☠️
My 1st car! Left to me by my great uncle. Only difference is my interior was burgundy. Great Car!!

Reminds me of one that Barnaby Jones drove. Lol. You've got to be old to remember him!!
He drove a Ford Ltd.
Cannon drove a Lincoln continental mark 4.

Looks better than any of the newer cars!
Greg that is a beautiful car. i cant believe it has only 400 miles on it. those tires must still be brand new!
A TRUE Classic!!👍👍😁😁
I'd like to see one of these on the road again!
Miss my 2dr 78 LTD Landau!
This is an awesome car! I love the trunk! I was 10 in 1977, I remember these beauties!
Absolutely fabulous, my idea of a big car with everything you want & more

BEAUTIFUL CAR!!!!!
Very Very Beautiful Mercury Marquis I Love this Car !!!!!!
I LOVE!! This car!
Now this is what I call the real base model car! Not the garbage they sell today!
Gorgeous!
Amazing.
Gorgeous all around
Only at vanguard can you find such an old car with such little miles lol
beautiful
But it's a more door, so it's the perfect family car
I like 2 doors!😀
My very first car I miss it
Nice car, comes with only 400 miles and 5 miles per gallon.
Hermoso,, arte sobre ruedas,,
It’s basically a Lincoln. Different grill, different back end. I assume they went down the same assembly line.

Very nice 😀
Looks like a cadillac on the inside.
Epic.
Dang, it hasn't even broken it in. It's like they drove it for a week and parked it.
Americana. C'mon baby, take a cruise with Tony....
Wow!!!
The Mercury McGarrett. Mine would be black, and the license plate would say, "FIVE O"...
I remember the year they started downsizing cars, I was in my teens, I thought it was the end of the world. sad.
😍😍😍 I’m in love
WHO buys a car like that and parks it inside and never drive it?
I know rite,so sad,that car is so pissed off..👿
My Dad owned a two door
The poor man's caddy for sure.

More like the poor man's Lincoln. Even though this isn't a poor man's car at all
Probably better than a Buick.

How comfortable are those seats
I was born in 1977.
He never said which one of the 3 engines that is in it,351,400 or the 460
CARRAZO!!!
Install dual exhaust would be easy
I must’ve missed engine size 🤷🏼♂️
Is it sold?

Cabin Cruiser
Same car as the Lincoln
Take cats off you will get 20 mpg
Quagmire Davis ... At least! I'd say more around 22 to 24 mpg if you keep your foot off it.
A gorgeous car unfortunately in my least favorite color combo.
