My grandfather used to drop me off on the dock in the morning and I'd fish all day. Those harbor pollock are great lobster bait. I never realized that he was using me to cut down on his bait bill 😂. I just loved fishing!
I wish I could go fishing for these fish but we dont have them in the gulf, we got spanish mackerel fun to catch too but atlantic taste so much better! Just sucks they do not taste that great the next day, as with any mackerel though.
That is the same rig I use, smelt love that rig also. They make a pole for that rig with no eyelets. You string it through the center of the pole and can real them little hooks into the pole. Less snags on things like fingers and seat covers on the boat. 😂👍🏻. great video. The other rig you friend had, my Dad and I used that rig with a fig on the end with hand lines from a skiff in Portland Harbor and would NAIL the Mackerel. Oh buy the way, ALL MIKES CATCH FISH. 😂😂😂😂😍 Your Mom and Dad are awesome. I can see they love cooking and love you. Keep up the videos. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😍
We'll ive been a little obsessed with landlocked salmon lately but the next one that comes out I did some grouse hunting. as far as the winter goes im not sure what ill do a bit of ice fishing if i can get the tools ill need but definitely open to suggestions
@@MainelyOutDoors Ice fishing would be great. Have you ever done a snowshoe hare hunt? Might be something you can do close to where you live since they like low lands and swampy thick areas.
I have a few samples that will come in today. I want to make sure the quality is ok first and if its not ill have to have someone who is better with photoshop help me. I just dont have the time i need to learn. stay tuned though maybe the samples will be perfect
Hey man, Wondering if there’s an email or something i could contact you on. Just wondering where that spot was you were hunting partridge and was caught off guard by the wardens. Commented on a couple videos and watch you pretty regularly, Live in maine myself, Just wanted some input on good spots that maybe people have had luck with for partridge. Planning on going out next weekend so would be very helpful!
Hey my email is in the description. but this road is no secret its the rocky brook road lots of good locations to hunt birds around there. although fair warning its been a slow year

It’s awesome in Maine that you can have forest and ocean together
Never thought of that as beinging unique but now that you mention it thats very true not something you see too much. plenty of it in Maine though!
We also have desert.

Hi we enjoyed your video, just wondering where exactly did you go? So many coastal areas in acadia not sure where to fish. Thanks!
amazing video, and I'm planning to go to this fall, and where in arcadia national park is this located>?
Was this a certain state park that has more than one light?
Where in Acadia is this spot. I am here for the next week
i wonder if they've started running for the season yet. im gonna go out tomorrow
Depends where you live if you do find them let me know how far they have come
Where can I fish for Boston mackerel in long island New York?
Hey love your channel, we're in Maine and have never tried Mackerel fishing. What are you using for type of line/weight on your rig?
Glad you like the channel! I typically use 30 lb with a Dimond jig or a 1-2oz weight depending on the rod
Are harbor pollock juvenile pollock or a different species. If a different species which one?
Harbor pollock is just a term for young pollock. They stick to the spawning grounds (shore) until they grow larger then move out into deeper water
@@MainelyOutDoors thanks for the confirmation.
Is there a daily limit?
iwould try it
What month was this?
6:29 lol...its willeys
what is the difference between harbor pollack and atlantic pollack?
I just got paid from potato harvest. When's the merch coming out????
I have a few samples that will come in today. I want to make sure the quality is ok first and if its not ill have to have someone who is better with photoshop help me. I just dont have the time i need to learn. stay tuned though maybe the samples will be perfect
