SRT were from Germany (Schule für Rundfunktechnik - School of Broadcasting Technology). Founded in 1964 by the members of ARD, they were responsible for training technical staff in broadcasting. In 2007 they merged with ZFP (Zentrale Fortbildung der Programm-Mitarbeiter - Central Training for Programme Staff, which was responsible for training journalists, editors, producers and directors) to form ARD.ZDF medienakademie.
