Every time you see a fight video like this, it's always made according to the wishes and pandering to the strengths of the martial artist instead of the bodybuilder or strength athlete. Martial artists like soft, flat surfaces and ample space as well as restrictions on illegal moves. There are many potential situations where strength, size, youth and luck reign more important than combat sport skill. Even MMA itself as a combat sport is not as diverse as we are made to believe; it only covers unarmed fighting. If you were to put the BJJ black belt in a ring with a bodybuilder and provide them both with baseball bats, would the BJJ guy win? Probably not because the bodybuilder could swing the weapon with more power and could take more damage due to his muscles protecting his organs, nerves and spine more effectively. There are so many forms of violence and competition out there, if you're willing to look into it, that there's really no such thing as "real fighting" at all; not even on the street. The world is too chaotic to bend to such human categories.
Actually provided none of them train kendo, the safest bet is on the BJJ guy, because if he manages to close the distance then the baseball bat is completely useless.
Ricardo Romero That's a big if because it is not anything that he has spent any time training on specifically, ever. The BJJ guy would also have to give up his weapon at some point and that would make him very vulnerable until he can somehow muscle the bat away from the bodybuilder.
no he wouldent need to give up his weapon and the bodybuilder wouldent be able to take any clean hits fron a baseball bat. The traind fighter would know how to dodge, attack, take down, and fight while the bodybuilder would be A be to slow B know jack shit about fighting C wouldent know what to do with the Baseball bat just like the traind fighter. And D fighters can take a punch just as good as a bodybuilder if not better. In Jiu Jitsu you generally train to submit without using/needing too much strength yourself. You don't really train to fuck up, but you train to not get fucked up if somebody tries to.

He'll never walk the same again if at all. The guy in this video should have put this meathead in a wheelchair for the rest of his life.
Well for bjj you want to be lean not bulk, you want to be flexible, have slim legs for triangles, and be agile. Don’t get me wrong strength is a huge factor but being lean gives a better advantage
Matt Smith lol I know man, I've watched the Diaz bros since they were first in the MMA, and I remember them training with the Gracie bros bare knuckle even during a sparring match lol. Dudes are untouchable to your average fighter
Whats better for a real, full adrenaline, dude and a friend are trying to take your head off after the bar, type brawl? Throws or ground fighting? I've only done a small amount of 'traditional' ju jitsu and a bit of brazilian, but the trad stuff tended to go with throw, stay standing and apply a lock, or throw and run. I don't want to train for sport BJJ, just want the best self defence aspects it can deliver. I don't like the idea of being on the ground where his buddy can kick me in the head or I roll over some broken glass.
bro if you alone and about to get attacked by a group just run. Why even try to engage in a clinch? If grabbed and held to the ground you aint gonna try rnc choke him, otherwise you WILL get kicked. You use bjj to survive, stand up and run. This is real life, people in a bar can carry knives or bottles. You can either avoid a brawl, or risk your life to be a rocky balboa one night at a bar.
Bones The Goat Thats exactly why I prefer the idea of throws. I once saw a fight start, and its always the most aggressive douchebag who wades in first right? So the dude did a judo throw and dumped him right in front of his mates in a moaning heap. Made them think twice about carrying on, AND they had to step over their friend to carry on the fight. The guy they attacked just ran off after that, they werent going to leave their buddy on the floor bleeding. This is why I cannot understand why BJJ guys spend relatively little time on throws - it seems to be takedowns where you end up down there with him. That to me is a weakness in the art. Not meaning to start a flame war, all arts have weaknesses and strengths.
Robert C. Christian Ahh cool thanks. I guess there must be variation among schools as I have had some people tell me they did not train throws until blue belt (!). I also like the idea of training to keep it standing as in some MMA fights.
Lol, yeah, it's a series where this guy goes to different Martial Arts gyms and gets beat up on purpose for comedic purposes. Don't you see all the acting? It's clearly fake, lmao I can't believe some people in the comments think this is real
Any Martial artist would beat you not just BJJ . Elite catch wrestlers would beat you. Even a Primed Mike Tyson would put a bodybuilder in the Hospital !!!!!
nickys34 not of you're wearing clothes. The real issue with bjj I the street is you're usually not gonna fight JUST one person. If you ever do get into an actual 1v1 it works just fine.
@nickys34 It doesn't matter how it looks, if someone is on top of you, you will have no choice but to get out from under in the safest and most effective way possible. Then to take his back and choke him is an ideal method for using bjj in the streets. I fully don't think you comprehend how bjj would work in a street fight.
As a wrestler, i say that double leg was savage. Wrestling and BJJ are both amazing arts. It amuses me when a fool believes one art is superior to the other.
Fax, I train bjj and when I tell people that they say “Oh you should do wrestling it’s more effective” finally someone who gets that they’re not better or worse, just different
thought this was for real...damn Tell you what though, obv technique beats strength..but give that muscle head a year of jits or even if he had known how to wrestle, he would have won that match.
The Tattletale Strangler I have personally seen this happen. Obv its not common, but esp guys with a strong wrestling background who are near to a Blue Belt level of BJJ- after a year or so of training- tapping a black belt (again with size difference) isn't uncommon. Even more so I have seen stalemates with black belts with that scenario.
Rocco K No, you're right that power is one technique to jits, but there's two aspects. For every equal there's an opposite, there's power moves and mobility moves. Trust me, it's everywhere. Idk who tf you train with or where tf your gym is, but the person that trains the longest always wins. Unless they're past blue then it's possible but most trained will win 99% of the time.
Gage Chisholm Gage for sure, training and skill level are the largest factors. But I am telling you, you take a Div 1 wrestler and get him to Blue Belt and watch him tap or at least NOT get tapped by much better BJJ players. Caine V is/was a Blue Belt, Dominick Cruz still a Blue Belt, Chris Weidman just got his purple...anyways I know that is MMA and not pure Jits..but I see it a lot. Or even in the training room you get a 230lb purple belt who is strong and can move, vs a 180lb brown or black belt. He might not tap the black belt, but he might, and even higher probability of him not getting tapped and maintaining position. I used to train at Yamasaki Academy in DC, until I got to blue then I switched to an MMA gym...I just started back to gi recently and about to get Purple.

He'll never walk the same again if at all. The guy in this video should have put this meathead in a wheelchair for the rest of his life.
@@RazgrizStraitz Except it wasn't real.
@@RazgrizStraitz wtf
Well for bjj you want to be lean not bulk, you want to be flexible, have slim legs for triangles, and be agile. Don’t get me wrong strength is a huge factor but being lean gives a better advantage
And what muscles??? U hace no muscles, You tiny boy😂😂😂😂😂OMG i enjoy it!!
Obvious joke, but i bet the outcome would be the same if it wasn't.
👍
Don't get me wrong it was a funny video.
do more like this! Enter in all fight club (krav maga, muay thai, karate ...) and fight against the coach like in Ipman
RAMBO YOU ARE THE BEST!!!
that looked really mean 😅

“had enough”
“nope”
...Would have been a bodybuilder before movies were in color.
lmao this shit was comedy, do that to Nate Diaz next! jk
Thanks Swoldier Mickens
I know you're joking, but ain't nobody ever doing that to Nate. Sure he can be beaten in BJJ but nobody is gonna man handle him like that.
Matt Smith
lol I know man, I've watched the Diaz bros since they were first in the MMA, and I remember them training with the Gracie bros bare knuckle even during a sparring match lol.
Wireline nothing sexier than doing a bjj triangle on a guy. until you get your head stomped on
bro if you alone and about to get attacked by a group just run.
Ogoshi is all I know..probably all I need.
Fantastic sensei
0:25 he is cheating haha
😂😂😂😂👍
hes cheating, hes using all these moves hahaha
0:27 Okay, so first let me put on this beenie for no fucking reason and then take everything off.
nailed it..
The sacred code of body building must be respected.
The jiu jitsu coach when he took his shirt off 😨
The jiu jitsu coach when he was able to use it to choke him 😏
I don't know whether they are friends or actual two guys fighting
Just two friends having a good time
Am I the only who noticed that this was uploaded by the bodybuilder?
No. One such as I is here.
Lol, yeah, it's a series where this guy goes to different Martial Arts gyms and gets beat up on purpose for comedic purposes. Don't you see all the acting? It's clearly fake, lmao I can't believe some people in the comments think this is real
I walked into a MMA gym as a 6’3 265 lbs weightlifter but I knew enough to be humble, and I’m glad after being tapped out by 185 lbers 😂
Any Martial artist would beat you not just BJJ . Elite catch wrestlers would beat you. Even a Primed Mike Tyson would put a bodybuilder in the Hospital !!!!!
Why people still underestimate 1500 years of martial arts science in constant evolution???
Why are you using grammar incorrectly
nickys34 not of you're wearing clothes. The real issue with bjj I the street is you're usually not gonna fight JUST one person. If you ever do get into an actual 1v1 it works just fine.
@nickys34 not practical lol, you have no clue what you are talking about
@nickys34 It doesn't matter how it looks, if someone is on top of you, you will have no choice but to get out from under in the safest and most effective way possible. Then to take his back and choke him is an ideal method for using bjj in the streets. I fully don't think you comprehend how bjj would work in a street fight.
lol Piet is my best friend's dad. Never knew he was this well known in BJJ
1:13 where have I seen this before 🤔
Right...
@@rami3164 both have their weaknesses and strengths, combined they fill that void in grappling.
Is this really the way a "teacher" conducts themselves these days? No wonder the world is turning to shit
Can we see the black belt in a bodybuilding competition now? In the spirit of fair play
that's fake, the bodybulder is student of the instructor.
I'm not a student
I love so much the technic with the tee shirt for a belt strangulation
:)
so this guy come up to every martial art discipline to challenge it's master. nice channel. lol
thought this was for real...damn
Tell you what though, obv technique beats strength..but give that muscle head a year of jits or even if he had known how to wrestle, he would have won that match.
I wouldn't be so sure of that. I know of guys who are pretty muscular and do Jiu-jitsu who sometimes get beaten by smaller guys. Technique wins.
You don't beat a black belt with a year of "jits"
Gage Chisholm
Gage for sure, training and skill level are the largest factors.
