I will legit quit everything & just go live in a farm and raise chickens if a 40 year old hits diamond before me. This is good motivation.
Drop the tracker. We'll race you.
Honestly there’s no reason a 40yo should have any harder of a time hitting diamond compared a younger person, besides maybe having less time to play. I’m 33, currently Diamond and my reaction time is still like 170ms. I shit on kids half my age every day
@@riker8214 Totally agree - the only disadvantage I'd say older folks have is in neuroplasticity. Imo this doesn't really matter unless you're trying to go for Radiant/Pro, where strong intuition becomes significantly more important.
@@Woohoojin yeah that might be harder to overcome the older you get. But hey f0rest is 34! So it’s doable. Not that I have any desire to go pro tho lol
@@Woohoojin tbh, i'd argue there is practically no difference in learning compared to younger and older.
Yes a 13 yr old has more innate learning ability but a 40 yr old can easily make up for it by just having much better study habits, consistency, & focus.
the real issue is time, 13 yr old has no responsiblities compared to a 40 yr old so they have more energy & focus to commit to learning a skill.
Love seeing boomers helping boomers
cmon man...
@@Woohoojin LMAOOOO
I’m 33 and just got into Val myself
Can't wait until a bigger creator sees this idea and tries it out for themselves. Hopefully it sparks some the anti smurf movement
I am slowly but surely spreading the word on this ruclips.net/video/nMtJSuSUk8c/видео.html
I also cannot name names at this time, but a larger creator (>100k subs) is considering taking down all of their smurfing content in exchange for me writing some educational content for their platform (with credit).
I am going to fight this fight.
@@Woohoojin bless you! I love this game and i have been playing it for a while and i have been hating it recently because of the smurfs its good that some people are fighting it.
Jolltz does kinda similar to this
@@musa5017 no he doesn't. Jollz does coaching and vod reviews he has never done anything similar to his and Jollz still does smurfing content. Love Jollz but that needs to change.
I thought about this and started trying multiple series like this. but often times it puts pressure on the student and they start to enjoy the game less cuz progress sadly takes a lot of time and they start to think "why am I not improving when I have a coach by my side and everyone else can improve at a faster rate." I hope he sticks with it. wish you the best of luck! the series idea is awesome :)
I agree! I’d say a productive alternative would be to do a similar series as your smurf series but in customs with willing participants.
Let me know if you’d consider this for your sheriff series, I’d be more than happy to help source legitimately rated, willing participants!
Love your coaching content.
@@Woohoojin and @OD26 collab pls pls
I volunteer as tribute
This one video has been more informative and educational than practically every guide or "Tips and tricks to get to radiant" video I've seen. I love your philosophy in regards to actually helping people improve.
I just started playing and I REALLY like this series! Not only is it a lot more ethical and doesnt encourage smurf content at low elo for views - it also focuses on realistic decision-making that someone at a silver level can perform (e.g. like you mentioned around 6:10). No need for radiant 1v5 clutch aim or ridiculous tech required. 😃
As a 36 yr old Bronze 3, I will be trying to follow along with this series!
Hello there. What's your rank now?
@@mohammadiaa I quit the game!
@@KyberMage😅
why did you quit?
@@KyberMage The only correct decision
This is a GREAT IDEA! Can't wait to binge this series! I'm an old dude that been playing console forever and I really need this.. THANK YOU! I have like 40 hours in the game, so I'm still learning it all and this will help so much..
Very good video and the idea! You are the best on youtube regarding Valorant educational content. Hope you go big!
im 41, iv never been more excited to see boomer content for valorant. Iv been playing for about a year. Peaked gold last act solo. This is what i needed.
This is an amazing video concept idea. Love it and informational as always!!
Thank you very much for this! Really appreciated.
I’m already invested in this series. Can’t wait to see his journey!
Yes PLEASE! I litterally never see any kind of play by play analysis in lower elo from coach RUclipsrs. Thank you so much I can't wait to follow his journey to diamond!
I actually love this, its so nice and refreshing to see an older gamer try to rank up and climb, makes me feel like I'm not too old for this game. ✌
Bro, I am legit following the advice and it helps so much
Dude woohoojin has made the video I’ve been waiting for. I’m so shocked it finally came about
I main Brim and am looking forward for this series.
I love doing lineups with the molly.
You saying that a controller and 2 comp games is all someone in silver 2 would need is enticing for me to master brim on every map and attempt to climb.
Looking forward to the series!!
Most people usually make content on Iron to Radiant, but you my good sir I give an applause to you since you don't do it yourself but you coach other people to do that, and I think that's a great way for people that watch these kinds of content to learn with the person you are coaching because you can relate to the person that is currently in said rank.
I’m looking forward to this series a lot!
And I will sub and watch all because I won’t feel dirty watching it!
I’m currently d1 hoping to hit ASC soon I feel even these lower rank tips are helping me play more disciplined
This really made me realize how aggressive I play. I have about 60-70% of my total played valorant on raze lol, Thanks for the videos!
this series is going to be so good
Thoughts on doing this later on for the other roles? Would love to see an initiator main improve with your coaching :)
im late but ill be following along the videos to hit diamond with this guy. currently im bronze 3 but rdy to take it to the next level
Aaaaah this is gonna be so interesting lets see how it goes
hi coach, loving the frequent uploads
This is way more info dance than any iron to rad - thanks!
I dont play val I mostly play overwatch but I have to say seriously thank you and also a big thanks to boomer peers for being an inspiration. I had crippling self doubt that maybe I cant learn/win because its harder to retain info when your in your 30's but now I was proven wrong. old dogs can learn new tricks.
Love this series already, im plat 3 but im learning so
Much
More of this please... even though i am plat i can see so many things that i haven't worked upon
We're goin all the way to diamond! Once a week. Don't worry!
This is way better than a radiant doing road to immortal
I love the call out of “here is where the smurf to diamond player would get the 3k and say they’re the smartest player ever”
It’s like smurf to x rank players aren’t self aware to realize how they’re not really being helpful, they’re just shitting on lower elo players with their mechanics for funny “educational” content.
thats what i love in such ppl(i mean older). He failed so many times in his live, he knows failure is part of learning process and he laugh. I am 32, tried multiple things in live and i can kinda relate to that. One of my projects took me to make success eleven years. Just sayin many(not all) older guys did something dedicated fully(especially males, we tends to focus on things more than woman), what younger ppl couldnt do most of the time, cuz they are still seeking what to focus on(i was there).
I was looking for the twitch so i could watch the full video
this is so crazy to me it goes against everything woohoojin has said about playing in lobbies under gold elo
Coming back to this series after watching it all, and hitting diamond myself to remind myself of how to play Valorant. 😭
age 34 years old and have two kids. I Don't have a lot of time to put hours into the game. Looking forward to this series!
This is going to be amazing i know it
Im starting this series today just so that I can learn how to talk to teamates. Hopefully I'm able to learn some tricks along the way let's gooo
did the aim rutine to silver 1, now im stuck so im rewaching this to practice the same things as jpc every week
"its uncomfortable not doing anything" my silver ass needs to remember this
i like this series so much more than the smurfing content lmao
love this series but are you going to share the 30 minute practice routine that we should do while climbing too? :D
ruclips.net/video/_OaUdNDdHLE/видео.html
thanks jin! i climbed from iron to gold 2 so im excited to climb with you guys to diamond
jpc is so lucky to have woohoojin himself as the coach :(
where can i find the full twitch stream, can someone send the link so i can watch the whole thing?
woohoojin is the goat bruh
Banana man squad growing at a tremendous speed , kinda sad tho coz I thought I found the secret key to getting the W s in valo , but now everyones gonna know
Ty for content banana
Get the popcorn
As a 35 year old... This is great
As a 40 year old hard stuck in plat3, this hits home lol
2:02 i am bronze and used to think that too.. i ll aim neck and let the recoil take care of it.. >
Time to learn from someone of my skill level pog
Hey banana man, I've recently discovered you and while binge watching your content I've been thinking about a question, which is, for whoever doesn't have a true main and just fills any role, is it normal to just lose because i let my teammate dictate what i play, or did i just got unlucky with the mm slot machine?
So basically bad teammates lol
If you always fill, you will have a really hard time mastering any agent on any map - this will slow down your climb significantly.
In lower ranks (below immortal) teams almost never effectively punish inefficient team compositions. You will almost always have higher value picking your main role over rounding out your team comp below Immortal.
At the end of the day it's just a game - keep filling if that's what you enjoy! But it will absolutely slow you down relative to someone who is willing to one trick and dodge off-role games.
Any thoughts on doing another boomer to diamond? I play initiator lol
here after i saw a post on reddit
He’s younger than you Woohoojin. Even Hiko is younger than you.
Get that dia JPC!
I'm 40 and I'm ascendant. So I believe he can/will reach diamond~
40yo d2 peak checking in
episode 2 when?
I'm gonna follow this road since I hit silver 1 in Ep7 Act1 with the help of Mighty Potassium Energy. EU Gold players, see you in a month!
Would also love to see a plat to immortal 3 series
ep 1 complete
I’m wondering what is his resolution
It’s pretty like 4K…?
Im a 24 year old boomer that feels like it is hopeless
I am in my 30s and in Iron. Maybe when I get to 40 I can finally hit silver
Left a like for the first 10 seconds. I hate content creators and theire stupit smurfing challenges. Riot should just ban everyone who does it.
How can I get a silver to your rank coaching??
BOOMER TO BRADIANT
Bruh im 16 turning 17 and been playing valorant for 2+ years and im stuck in gold (used to be plat 3). My aim is pretty good for a first fps like i dominate dms but throw ranked. Plus i have a low end pc so streaming makes mu performance reallt bad so even VOD reviewing bad
Does he have a high refresh rate monitor?
144hz
@@Woohoojin then he's all set! You guys got this I know.
whats your dpi....
me: 6900
I'm going to make a lot of people feel old now... If this dude is 40, he's not a boomer... he's not even a GenX. Born in 1983, he's a millennial!
coaching a 13 yr old to diamond? maybe?👀
Laughing that a mere 40 year old is considered a boomer. Source: a 50 year old
Thought boomers were 70 year olds at this point
10:35
Honestly, anyone playing at 900 eDPI like me? :D :D
As a 33 year old (competitive) gamer i fear the day kids will start to call me boomer. I look forward to the day this boomer will shit on them though.
As a 23 year old they’re already calling us boomer man lol. Gotta teach these shitters to respect the og gamers playing since they’ve been in diapers
does he know he’s having 100ish packet loss?
We'll address this!
what the heck, sensible valotant content,, im reporting this guy wtf
40yo is millenial at this point lol
Boomer ? 40 yo ain't boomer in a real definition of the term... boomers are born between 1945 and 1963 (more or less but defo not 80s)...
Just to let everyone know. The youngest boomer right now should be 58. This man is part of Gen X. I know he’s just using the word cuz it’s like a meme but it still bugs me since it’s kind of a negative connotation. I say this as a zoomer (also fk zoomers)
