This is a great series, thanks for the vid. I definitely have the issue where dm is easier, but I guess it sort of is too in a sense as there's nothing really on the line but also nobody has a tm there to trade either. Still, if I had the same gunfight level in comp as in dm I'd definitely be doing better.

im so excited to play ranked and get a vod review from you. im gold 2 but my movement and aim and gamesense and crosshair placement are usually tons better than my teammates, and ive played ascendant/imm lobbies on an alt and kept up with my team easily
That comment of Valorant being a horror game is so on point for me (Bronze 3 peak). Even in Deathmatches, I can feel my heart in my mouth and everytime I die to an angle I am not watching, I get startled. It is so aggravating.
I have yet to play ranked, but based on a bunch of your videos I think I'll likely be somewhere around mid-high silver initially. I've been working on my weapon hygiene a lot and it's feeling pretty good, but on basically any map other than Ascent I feel like I'm in the middle of a horror movie as you said. It feels like enemies can come out of anywhere at any time, which is obviously untrue, but the horror-game description is incredibly accurate.
Ascent feels good though, I think I have around a 68% win rate on that map and I'm super confident in various situations. Other maps will get there eventually, but coming from League and playing on the same map for 12 years makes having to learn 7 much more complex maps stupidly difficult, especially since I can't just queue for a map that I want to work on.
@@aidan8473 I haven't started competitive yet, but I'm feeling a lot more confident in gunfights and generally understanding how to move and position, as well as common angles and lines of sight on each map. I've also finally settled on Viper as my main. I am currently working to figure out a few general gameplans with her on each map so I don't need to think about utility mid-round, and I will then jump into comp to start improving. I'll try to remember and follow-up here. I'm also thinking of streaming every comp game I play from day 1 so I can reflect/review down the road.

Omen ult into hell on haven A site is OP. Smoke heaven, tp hell, clear main then cubby then ct, then one way ct. Opponents will convince themselves you're in the heaven smoke.

It's just like you said. In Dms I can dominate really well (I even avoid taking the health after every enemy death to keep the fight practical) and even in Unrated I can hold plats golds and silvers. But in comp it just gets kinda scary like oh shizz they'll kill me and lowkey panic. Do you have any advice on how to keep calm nerves? Should I just keep playing unrated till my aim issue gets better by taking duels or should I try playing comp?
@@lilwombat dude make an alt account and start playing comp on it, don't care about if you are going to win your game or loose, just play eventually you will improve... you can also do this on your main/ but don't do it if you are above plat or diamond.

If you hard stop because of a single smoke, think of it like this. Would you hard stop when driving on the highway because of a single roadside accident?

I have an honest question about this series. You say to get to gold you should instalock reyna and use the aim strafe technique you showed in the one video, but here you're teaching a silver omen player. idk just kinda wondering if youve changed your stance on that

i am a b3 player and its keep happing to me that in dm i matched up with diamonds or platinum and end on 20 + kills but in ranked i coundn't kill the bronze player.

If i stay calm and try to get kills with hs, i always die. I am just too slow, even somehow i manage to aim at the head it takes about 1 seconds for me to reach and shot. Until that the enemy usualy moves to another directin. In order for you to imagine, if i play slowly and calmly i look like a guy who has 100 ms ping even tho mine is 21. My brain is just not big enough. I even never crouch because i can't focus on pressing another button (except wasd) while i am shooting. I am a logic guy. I need "this is the logic, follow it" thing. If there is no logic behind aiming and reacting faster, if it's all about practice then i'll probably always be a silver, because i play valorant for fun and to be honest practicing is the most boring thing on the planet. I play games so i can avoid my boring and miserable just for a couple of hours. Dear Woohoojin, it would appreciated if you ever consider making a video about getting faster and staying accurate logic. For example i know every box's height is equal to a character's height. This helps me every time i lose my aim. Simple logics that can help me all the time. Also my brain works with calculating the average. Which means lets say i am trying to get headshot kills and i have killed 100 agent while they were standing and lets say i have killed 100 agent while they were crouching. My brain automatically averages them out, and when I see a man standing up who is not crouching, I aim the middle of between his head and his head would have been if he was crouching. I can't stop it. Any idea how to fix that? It also happens when i see 2 enemies next to each other. A normal person would have hit one them, right? But my potato brains once again tells me to shot in middle and because of that none of them dies.

Your focus should be on improving so don't worry if you win the round or even the game if you did the play well
