    Hi!!
    I would like to rebuild the crossovers of my Ditton 33s.
    Could you share the schematic of what you built with Visaton capacitors and resistors and tell me where I can find these capacitors and resistors?
    Thank you!

    I'm not an engineer I just want to fix up a couple of pairs of my old British speakers but would a straight forward (DIGITAL MULTIMETER VOLTMETER OHMMETER AMMETER MULTI TESTER METER PROFESSIONAL UK) cheapo Chinese job from flea bay be OK. Love your work find it fascinating.

    As a retired Audio Engineer who was involved in audio and speaker design, I always enjoy watching your speaker restoration videos.
    As I still get equipment to service/repair and often the rubber surrounds on drive units can stiffen up due to age.
    What chemical do you use on the rubber surrounds? Is it isopropyl alcohol or something more specialised?

    • @haycrossaudio5474
      @haycrossaudio5474  Год назад +2

      Hi Mark. Thanks for watching 😃. I use isopropyl alcohol for cleaning and then condition the rubber with Carbusonic rubber conditioner. I helps keep the suspension supple and helps reduce cracking. Hope that helps 🙏

      I looked up online for the Carbusonic rubber conditioner...they don't ship to Spain😮...I could really use some for my Spendor S100...can you tell me a place I can order from that will ship to Spain?

    Do you have any 33 crossovers for sale? I saw a FB post that looked like you had a store online somewhere. Desperately is need of some but I'm in the States. Thanks for all the great videos.

    so many questions...what liquid are you using to clean the speaker units? alcohol ?

  • @briancampbell7712
    @briancampbell7712 10 месяцев назад

    i see you soldered the wires to the speakers...did you solder to the crossover push pin connectors?...
    how much difference is there if soldered vs pushed on? ...can you hear the difference?

    • @haycrossaudio5474
      @haycrossaudio5474  10 месяцев назад +1

      A cleaner signal path directly soldering the wires rather than push fit connections. Push fit connectors can work loose and also oxidise

    the sound of these Ditton 33 seem to be very sweet...would you say they sound better than the Ditton 44 or 66?...I also like your friend Ditton works RUclips channel...he must have liked the Dittons so much that he named his channel Ditton Works✌️

      He used to work for Celestion. Kevin is a great guy. We talk regularly.
      The 33 is a good speaker. These turned out well. The 44 and 66 are far superior though in pretty much all aspects. The 22 us a favourite to.
