Blew both of my 33s tweeters by cranking the volume way too loud one unfortunate evening 🎉. Lesson learned. Replaced both tweeters and now they’re fine. I also own a pair of 66s and replaced the old caps on the crossover with Falcon acoustics replacements. They sounded a bit better afterwards. The 66 sound really good on little the FX-Audio D802. Good (and cheap) match for those speakers.
I follow with interest ... I too have 33 and also a couple of County C..... I love your program! and I always follow you , now I'm waiting for the second part I too would like to rewire my 33s the crossovers I've already fixed I'm missing the internal cables and the replacement of the rear connections . See you soon greetings from venice Italy😃
Hello there I would be very interested in your opinion on the kef concerto crossover .sorry this seems the only way I can get in touch . regards Stewart day .Kent
The meter you see me use mainly is the MK-328 TR/LCR/ESR tester. It's a great little meter. I also use a PEAK LCR45 which is probably more accurate on smaller capacitors as it uses a higher test frequency. I also use Dayton Audio DATS to.
hello I take advantage of your knowledge to ask you for technical advice. I have recently purchased a pair of 1973 Celestion County C unfortunately the woofers have been re-hemmed in an unprofessional manner and they scratch if you push them towards the inside of the basket ... I would like to replace them with new woofers what do you advise me to buy with equal size and technical requirements ?
Hi. Thanks for the message. Unfortunately even if you find new woofers which physically fit and have the same nominal impedance they would probably never sound right without reworking the crossover. I doubt the T and S parameters for those speakers is available so matching something would be next to impossible. Your best bet is to find a good second hand pair

Nice one. The kids found the weak points which assuming the amp was decent killed what you discovered, and didn’t damage Drive units.
My 33s are crackling. I think it's from the tweeters. Are there any decent speaker repair shops in the midlands?

@@StewartDay-c1l Hi Stewart. Email always at the end of the videos. Drop me an email. Info@haycrossaudio.co.uk
May I ask which device you use to measure both resistors, coils and capacitors? Thank you. 🙂
