Sorry to say but Aka confirmed that Aqua only loves Ai. The act of death and revenge for Ai shows the dedication Aqua has for Ai till the end. It is not romantic in nature, but a deep love Aqua has for her. It has always been AquaXAi all along
@@erinahara1994No that was not confirmed that's just your headcanon so be sorry for yourself the story literally flat out states that he liked kana in the end but you're delusional
@@neerajoshi5473 Did you tune into the Live interview by Akasaka and Mengo? Of course not. Also that is the same question I wish to post to you. In chapter 161, Aqua made it very clear that he treats responding to Kana's feelings as an option. He used the phrase 'it might be a good idea to'. Backing track back to the convo which he had with Gorou san, Gorou said that the choice is up to Aqua. If he wishes to continue on the revenge path or chose to live a normal life and potentially responding to Kana's feelings. Even Akane tried to help Aqua get together with Kana but everything failed and Aqua still chose to seek his revenge on Hikaru. What does this tell you??? This was literally clear to readers and if Akasaka san did not make it clear enough, then clearly you are not observant to the many points in the manga clearly indicating that Aqua's existence and ambition all along is for Ai. He is also supposedly the protector of Ruby. That's what Aka mentioned during the Live interview on 14th November. And the author himself confirmed to his Japanese viewers that Aqua does not actually fall in love.
@@neerajoshi5473 Nope. Aka san did confirm verbally during his interview together with Mengo san on 14th November Live in Tokyo after the last chapter was released that Aqua only loves Ai. Another commentor posted the same remark in this video thread. One of the Japanese readers posted the question if Aqua ever Loved Kana and Akane during the Live stream. Aka's response was this: "Aqua had affections for Kana and attraction towards Akane, but he does not actually fall in love." "Aqua loves Ai the deepest. His existence was for her and also to protect his sister, Ruby. There are many misconceptions by international fans, however this is what it is." Aqua only ever loved Ai.
Akasa's favorite punching bag who he loves to bully cause he has no idea what to do with Kana in a revenge story where she ultimately becomes a pointless character after serving her purpose. Kana's character went from a struggling actress turned idol to slowly becoming a ship bait with Aqua that went nowhere in the end turning into a meme for bulling especially with the Miyako slapping scene.
Even that brief scandal plot line was simply a springboard for Aqua to reveal his parentage. I would've liked it better if they put emphasis on that and gave Kana the resolve to end this case, but no, Aqua's scandal was so big that it erased Kana's scandal like it never existed. I mean damn, just how quickly people moved on from that?
Something people don't talk about much is that the fact that the concert itself was the proof that Hikaru plan failed. (The concert would be cancelled, just like happened to Ai) I think it would have been good to see Aqua in the concert at least before commiting his plan. But assuming we are talking about a killer that kills with words. I think the very moment he realizes Nino failed is the perfect moment to end the guy. Also, not to mention that if Hikaru started plotting another attempt to Ruby by introducing a new person to the case, having track of it would have been difficult. Nino was the closest to Ai and the one Akane and Aqua had been tracing. Letting the problem be out of their control would probably result in disaster. Even if Hikaru was arrested somehow, the man would be still out there, and Aqua and Akane wouldn''t know a thing about him/her. So sadly I see why Aqua decided to end things there (Also adding the fact that was the perfect moment to do things, since Akane was confident Aqua was in the concert for Kana promise, so she wouldn't have an eye on him). I guess that was kind her plan tho (To put more height in Aquas shoulders so he doesn't risk his life by committing a crime (Altho his plan involved literally sacrificing himself, something Akane didn't think about i guess))
0:47 I don't really think Aqua have feelings for Kana especially when he thinks "IT MIGHT be a good idea" he saying he is unsure if dating Kana is what he really wants and he also was unsure of his feelings towards her. To me, Aqua's always liked the Idol of Arima Kana and not herself just lie how Ai's stalker likes Ai as an idol and not as a person. which explains Akane saying he's smitten with Kana, basically he is smitten with the idol on stage but I don't think he actually loves her romantically.
@@minaashdio9373 tbh u actually bring up a great perspective. I never thought of it much, but Aqua looking at Kana as an idol and not as a person could really make sense. Perhaps it might be more than Kana just being an idol too and her being a star on stage since she is an actor too. I still think it’s implied Aqua had genuine feelings for Kana, but vague enough where Aqua just loves the idol on stage. That perspective actually does it make more tragic since Aqua didn’t go watch the idol he loved performing for the last time. 😢
@@blursed2858 It is confirmed by Aka on 14th November that Aqua only loved Ai. It is not romantic in nature as Aqua is mentioned to not fall in love - Unlike what most international fans believe. I think it was not the fault of Kana to slap the body of Aqua but the fact that she did it infront of all his friends and "family" who are very sad too, it's impolite, but, can we blame her? She just did shown her emotions and knowing that there's some chances that Aqua's fu*eral were filmed too, all the frustration leaded to this The real vilain of Oshi no ko is not Kamiki, none Aqua or Gojo, and not Airi, but the show-buisness industry that is a: -St@lker (Ryosuke) -R*pper/P*do (Airi) -K*ller (Hikaru) -Tr@uma Giving Place (Littrally everyone) -Liar (Do I really have to give examples?) In short: It's not the fault of Kana, not the fault of Aqua, but the fault of show-buisness Thanks for reading, I appreciate :)
I always see people compare Ruby to Ai but in my opinion Aqua’s much more like Ai personality wise. I mean the real Ai when she’s not pretending to be someone she’s not to make others like her
They did showed us different scenarios not to forget that. Hikaru and Ai being together panel , if Sarena and goro survived.... Like all these, can't blame Aka tho, he really gave us a Final and long lasting ever dosage of copium
6:59 I never had problems with Aqua, but this reason is why I genuinely cannot find myself liking him. HE himself told Akane that "Communication is important for a relationship" and yet he does none of that to Kana, which contradicts the fact "he's trying to protect her", it's just so unfortunate really. I have the same reaction as Kana when this dude finally told her the truth, she just smacked him with a tissue box and HONESTLY DESERVED BRUH 😭 Drama is drama, and romance half the time is gonna have some semblance of miscommunication, that's fine, but when you write Aqua saying that "communication is important" while contradicting that fact by having him stay away from Kana? That's not how you do it bro 💀

Idk if you're being sarcastic or serious, but NO ITS NOT. The ending is just bitter there's no doubt about that but it's bad? Nah... @@calronkeltaran493 Alright, I am ready to answer all your questions. These questions are quite easy to address, but perhaps you do not follow the series closely or are simply a fan of the ships. Some incidents like: meeting Hikaru in the interview, Akane saved Ruby by Hikaru being involved in their first meeting. Additionally, following the murder attempt by Nino, it is evident that Hikaru was after Ruby. The movie '15 Years Lie' was a love letter planned by Ai to publicly reveal her relationship with Hikaru. However, due to the misunderstandings that led to Ai's death, Aqua created the film as a weapon against Hikaru, aimed at emotionally and mentally destroying him for failing to understand Ai. The romantic elements in the story primarily serve to drive character development, especially as Aqua was originally on a path of vengeance. Kana and Akane played pivotal roles in guiding him, and through their influence, he underwent significant change. By the end, his goal shifted from revenge to saving Ruby, which is why we witnessed the appearance of the double white stars. This was a significant moment of character growth, as Aqua developed the will to live, motivated by these two girls. Akane refused to let Aqua go alone, reminding him that he had the motivation to return. She wasn't wrong-Aqua wanted to live, but he saw no other way to defeat Hikaru. It's also important to note that despite Nino's confession to the police, there was no solid evidence linking Hikaru to the crime. This demonstrates just how much control Hikaru had over people. He was like a ticking time bomb, waiting to explode and put Ruby in danger.
When people are one step to their purpose, they become blind, coldblood, and obsessed. They doesnt watch around, and just go forward, no matter what. Before the end aqua understand, that he did things only because of his obsession and regret the choice he made. That was victory at any cost.
@ZephyrRetro u can do one about their love story...like do a vid about their life...how they met and everything... Well pls do that one next!!😄💞 just like how u did one about ai and hikaru.
Still freaking frustrated that he chose to die over love I get it you want to protect your sister but I think she would’ve been more happy if you actually got together with Kana instead of dying like an idiot
Couldnt putting hikaru jail havent made sure ruby was safe too? Like he coulda got him arrested for the most recent crime and boom safe, alive, everyone happy It even if he couldnt be charged for all crimes. This still coulda worked Just pointing out another way it coulda gone
@@AnnetteDancer915 if they could get him in jail, that would definitely work. There just wasn’t any concrete evidence for them to get Hikaru arrested iirc
And about who suffers the most I think Akane after Ruby, yes Kana made a scene and her dream was unfulfilled but Akane is the one who the truth about everything and she feels sad and regretful that Aqua didn't let her help him and Kana moved on somewhat but Akane I don't think she did and knowing the truth and bearing with that truth all alone I think that what hurts the most.
No one moved on yet, they’re trying to. Ruby is just pretending to, Kana still bursts out crying on settings but forces herself to repress it, and Akane just keeps to herself and internalizes her feelings.
I would say Akane had the best ending. Towards the end she and Aqua met briefly before Aqua went all out on Hikaru. Aqua made it clear that he will now take matters into his own hands and she shall not get involved. Akane is the only one whom knows this. Akane may he sad but Aqua already made up his mind. There is little Akane could have done. Ruby and Kana on the other hand are clueless. Imagine the shock and horror finding out about his death on the news. Ruby achieved her dream of being a top idol star like her mother, so she did get something great towards the end. As for Kana, she only has regrets and a broken heart, she retires from her idol group, she tries to focus in acting but still cries when she thinks about Aqua. I would say Kana really had it the worst and Aka san intentionally made her suffer the most

Light was also pretty much nearing his end iirc, so he was fated to die eitehr way which gave a lot more to digest than just Aqua falling off the cliff again this time with Hikaru. Not only that but the message it carries on how the lying cycle "carries over" because that's their love and how each of them has no choice but to live their lives with their heads held up high.
That's no resolution to a perfectly entertaining anime, and man do I feel like shit for seeing such a stale ass finale. If anyone actually feels encouraged or inspired by this ending's sentiment, good for them. But they need to be studied so I can humbly relate lol

It’s sad that Aqua and Kana didn’t get together they would have made the perfect couple they would have been a nice couple aqua and kana both love each other, and they would’ve supported and loved each other once they would’ve become lovers I really wanted to see them become lovers. Sadly that didn’t happen. It’s a shame they would’ve been the perfect couple 😢😭😭😭😭
Sorry to say but Aka confirmed that Aqua only loves Ai. The act of death and revenge for Ai shows the dedication Aqua has for Ai till the end. It is not romantic in nature, but a deep love Aqua has for her. It has always been AquaXAi all along

Aka's response was this:
"Aqua had affections for Kana and attraction towards Akane, but he does not actually fall in love."
"Aqua loves Ai the deepest. His existence was for her and also to protect his sister, Ruby. There are many misconceptions by international fans, however this is what it is."
Aqua only ever loved Ai.
man now we gotta wait a year or so for season 3 to come out
@@JuanWest-e9r at least it’s confirmed. My guess is prolly during fall season next year, which is so far away 😢
@@ZephyrRetro yup.....!
(The concert would be cancelled, just like happened to Ai)
I think it would have been good to see Aqua in the concert at least before commiting his plan.
I think he likes her, but because of his trauma, is pretty confused on his feelings and what to do with them
@@blursed2858 It is confirmed by Aka on 14th November that Aqua only loved Ai. It is not romantic in nature as Aqua is mentioned to not fall in love - Unlike what most international fans believe. But he loved Ai deeply. As Aka's quote "He had affections for Kana and attraction towards Akane, but he does not fall in love".
This! Yes this was what Aka san brought up on 14th Nov when a Japanese fan posted this question. Aka confirmed verbally that Aqua indeed only loves Ai. He sees responding to Kana's feelings as an option. He does not feel love the same way towards Kana or Akane
@@kaihatori-lq3xm oh I didn’t know that. Where did you see this?
Poor Kana...but in my story the one's that i shared u before... She will always be happy with aqua as a friend because they will always all be in the stars. ....

@@kiyomi_kamimoto but i think its better to do it that way so it can be easier...cause ngl, these creators doesn't really wanna tell us what their official b days are...so i decided to do that!
You know what? Aqua didn’t even have to kill himself. As it stated, They eventually found Hikaru’s crimes and he also could have reported Hikaru for threatening his sister basically meaning him killing Hikaru was just self-defense…
I think it was not the fault of Kana to slap the body of Aqua but the fact that she did it infront of all his friends and "family" who are very sad too, it's impolite, but, can we blame her?
She just did shown her emotions and knowing that there's some chances that Aqua's fu*eral were filmed too, all the frustration leaded to this
The real vilain of Oshi no ko is not Kamiki, none Aqua or Gojo, and not Airi, but the show-buisness industry that is a:
-St@lker (Ryosuke)
-R*pper/P*do (Airi)
-K*ller (Hikaru)
-Tr@uma Giving Place (Littrally everyone)
-Liar (Do I really have to give examples?)
In short: It's not the fault of Kana, not the fault of Aqua, but the fault of show-buisness
Thanks for reading, I appreciate :)
I always see people compare Ruby to Ai but in my opinion Aqua’s much more like Ai personality wise. I mean the real Ai when she’s not pretending to be someone she’s not to make others like her
Both are kind of like her. They’re like two halves of her.
I really hope that they decide to do a alternate ending where we see what would’ve happened if Aqua lived
Xd hope so 😂😂😂
They did showed us different scenarios not to forget that. Hikaru and Ai being together panel , if Sarena and goro survived.... Like all these, can't blame Aka tho, he really gave us a Final and long lasting ever dosage of copium

I never had problems with Aqua, but this reason is why I genuinely cannot find myself liking him. HE himself told Akane that "Communication is important for a relationship" and yet he does none of that to Kana, which contradicts the fact "he's trying to protect her", it's just so unfortunate really. I have the same reaction as Kana when this dude finally told her the truth, she just smacked him with a tissue box and HONESTLY DESERVED BRUH 😭
Drama is drama, and romance half the time is gonna have some semblance of miscommunication, that's fine, but when you write Aqua saying that "communication is important" while contradicting that fact by having him stay away from Kana? That's not how you do it bro 💀
Breaking news Oshi no ko has officially become the most hated ending of 2024. I asked many people and a lot of them said they hated the ending and it’s one of the worst ending day I’ve ever seen 90% of the fans heat burning and it’s understandable why they hated the ending missed a lot of points. Ended things that a lot of people did not like most of it did not make sense. I can understand the hatred of the fans hopefully it will improve in the future
As they SHOULD hate it!!!
By the way, Did you ask them on Twitter or other platforms.
Idk if you're being sarcastic or serious, but NO ITS NOT. The ending is just bitter there's no doubt about that but it's bad? Nah... Also one thing to clear, the last ep of manga 166 is still rated above 8 officially better than most mangas. The new volumes are also surged in selling. Maybe some westerners don't like the end, still it's not the first time we have seen them behave pathetically on the internet, but it's quite the opposite in Asia.
@@Toyarmy12387 so if the ending is well written, tell me how Aqua knew that Hikaru was after Ruby? What was the reason for the whole 15y lie arc if Aqua was gonna kill Hikaru anyway? How did Akane lost all of her braincells and let Aqua go alone? What was the point of all the romance plot, if it didn't matter for Aqua in the slightest? What was the point of Aqua letting go of his revenge and all the girls telling him that it is important for him to stay alive? How is having a killer as a brother worse than having a serial killer as a dad for Rubys career?

Will u do the vid about gorou and serina next after this? Like the next time u post just like how u did a vid about ai and hikaru???❤❤❤

@@LeoXat that's why he is my fave.
Still freaking frustrated that he chose to die over love I get it you want to protect your sister but I think she would’ve been more happy if you actually got together with Kana instead of dying like an idiot
Couldnt putting hikaru jail havent made sure ruby was safe too? Like he coulda got him arrested for the most recent crime and boom safe, alive, everyone happy
It even if he couldnt be charged for all crimes. This still coulda worked
Just pointing out another way it coulda gone
I would say Kana really had it the worst and Aka san intentionally made her suffer the most
honestly we could’ve understood more if the manga wasn’t rushed. I believe they could’ve dated too tbh but we’ll never know unless we magically get a spin off or a continuation which prob won’t happen.
