  • Fairly nice day on Belews Creek reservoir in North Carolina, USA. Belews is a coal fired power plant and cooled by water from the lake. Thus the water temp never goes much below about 60F even during the harshest winters. Winds can sometimes be a bit blustery but this was a fairly nice day with 10 to 15 MPH winds and not much trouble. Overall we're experiencing the best sailling season in 10 years in this part of the country. 2 or 3 more months and then it'll be back to the doldrums once again... Get it while you can.
