True story. He's very good at doing his own stuntwork. Just a side note though since I've worked in the industry, all the fights you see are choreographed, so even when someone is reacting to the "hit" of someone else on set while filming, the reactions to hits and blows are actually rehearsed and acted so that no one is getting too banged up during a fight. People will still get bruised and injured in minor ways, but they won't break bones or have to be hospitalized because of the way everything is shot (rarely). What normally happens when someone goes through a wall like in this commercial-there are cables on that person that effectively "pull" them through the wall-look-alike prop, which will still hurt but not like being pulled through an actual wall. Most actors do have more muscle control both body and facial expression than the average person, it's part of their training whether they're a method actor or not. The better they are at it the more opportunities they have and Mads is certainly expert at all of it!

@@urvampire If I´m not mistaken that picture is from a photoshoot for a british magazine in the 2000´s when Hugh Dancy was a model. He modeled for a few brands like Essencial and Vogue, but I can´t remember the name of this one. And I can´t zoom in the picture so I can´t be sure. Hope this helps.

He gives this project the same energy he gave to all his movie performances from arthouse films to the Hollywood Marvel, Star Wars, and Bond movies. The release of this commercial is 2016, so Mads was 51 when this was filmed. While he has the advantage of both a gymnastic & dance background, this is one of the things I appreciate about European men, though he's an extreme example, they are on average much more attractive, fit, sporty, educated, and *energetic* than American men.
As Dan Fogler recently informed us in an interview with Mads, his name does actually translate this way: Mads=Gift from God, Mikkelsen=who is god's son. So, yes, he basically is the 2nd coming. I suspect director Jonas Akerlund was playing off of this very idea in fact when in the recent movie POLAR, Mads character, Duncan is in a store and the woman at the checkout is saying to the customer in front of him, "Jesus is such a handsome man, isn't he?" LOL. Maybe Akerlund's way of saying, Mads, you've got a mug like Jesus let's face it.
