I didn’t know anything about darts before youtube recommended me this video but now I know is that that dude Wade has had front seat in many historical events in this sport. Lucky bastard.
Honestly I barely even knew darts was a spectator sport like this. Just watched the Michael Smith vs. van Gueren (I hope I spelled that right) battle and now I’m scouring RUclips and the internet for some darts content. The crowds are nuts!! As an American I wish we had some darts culture like this. It looks like a fucking blast. Almost all of our spectator sports you have to actually be locked in to the game to really get anything out of the experience, and none of them are super casual like this. From what I’ve gathered in a couple hours of darts research, darts matches(?) just seem like a huge party. The spectators dress up in silly costumes and just root like hell for everybody competing. It kind of seems like NASCAR tbh, but way more casual of an experience.
I couldn't even imagine playing a big money tournament in front of a raucous crowd like that. I've played in plenty here in the states but ,only in crowded pubs. And sometimes it seemed like you were putting to win the open people would never be that rowdy. What a wonderful scene those matches are.
shot my first 6 dart out in 301-Double out, back in 1997 at the wheelhouse bar in wilmington island GA. the whole league kinda took notice after that. at the leagues award presentations at end of season, they didnt even have a 6 Dart Out pin cuz its beyond rare to hit. 3 x trip 20, trip 20, trip 17, double 5 ...... my opponent got to throw 3 darts and then shake my hand after i shot my second turn. opposing team had no clue what had just happened.
These guys must have had the answers to the math questions before the teachers finished writing them! Great dart skills, and fast math thinking on their feet in front of a crowd.....not bad!

Funny to see that all opponents are celebration for the other. Like this guy in the first clip he is super happy for Barney. But then! When someone throws a 9 darter vs Barney himself, Barney is looking down thinking 'this should have been me!' 🤣🤣

I love the crowd reactions for high level darts. I'm sure everyone's hammered- just seems like a fun ticket.
One of the best days and nights out shame we won't be experiencing it for a long time
In sure a lot of them have small wagers on 9 darters to be thrown at some nice odds. Typically it pays 35-1 if I’m not mistaken.
Better crowd than american sports
