@@AnonYMouse-ky4sg yes exactly. I saw that part and it was awesome. But actually showed Denbe as a little kid, his family massacred, Reddington stepping in to save him. Sending him to college etc. Exactly like you said expound on that. Of course the main plot of the movie would be Reddington rise to power and how he got to know everyone.
That will be hard cos we don't even know who Red is....

ken johnson dude his nonchalant demeanor gives his character depth. I especially loves how he randomly starts ranting about a topic that has nothing to do with the situation at hand

I adore James Spader, the way he carries himself, how he speaks, and his acting prowess. The Blacklist would be so much better if they dropped the Keens and made it ALL about him! Reddington is great!
If the drop the keens, he wouldn't be so valuable. Remember elizabeth is his only reason for working with the FBI. As you can see everytime elizabeth is not the main focus, there is not much suspense.

James Spader first blew me away in Boston Legal. He has these brief pauses that enthrall you as wait for the completely unknown direction he is going. He is brilliant. When I first saw Blacklist, I knew he was going to steal the show with his incredible style of acting.

i actually realized that last week during my rewatch leading up to endgame and i was so excited
I rewatched Age of Ultron 3 months ago with my friend and she said that she won't watch any other movie with me ever because of the way i acted when i found out that Ultron was actually James Spader. I was so disappointed because i didn't recognize him the first time and i somehow managed to broke one of my fingers in the process.
James Spader's acting is top notch and that's why I love watching blacklist I just wish the movie will not end anytime soon
I just watched James Spader interview of the 1980s when he seemed very sedate. Now he has come alive with this upbeat personality that's a delight to watch. I am WOWED out by his role Reddington in Blacklist. He's brilliant acting is phenomenal.

what you see in movies and tv shows is the result of scripting, direction, and editing of numerous takes from various angles and lighting. that being said, i've come to appreciate James Spader's acting which seems to carry a great amount of his own personality. he's portrayed the widest array of characters and I can't recall a disappointment, even if the box office was subpar.

Why do I feel like Seth was interviewing Raymond Reddington and there is no James Spacer, only Reddington.
