I am sitting here watching this and crying my eyes out. I have loved weird al and Dr. Demento forever. Weird Al helped me have a sense of humor and not feel like I stuck out so bad cause I was weird. It was an amazing day. I travelled from Philly to be a part of this day. They actually allowed the donors to the fund VIP access plus an after party. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience that i will never forget. Also I got to meet you that was pretty damn cool

AWESOME! WEIRD AL THE GREATEST. He was so hilarious. He would turn a major hit song into another major hit song by parroting and changing the lyrics to it to make it more comedic. No one else could do that and get away with it like WEIRD AL. Anyway, I'm so glad that finally WEIRD AL gets his star. Yeaaa!😍😘

I remember listening to Dr demeto back in the 90s and I got all weird Al CDs and UHF movie . Just amazing weird Al got a 🌟 now.
It's about time he gets his STAR!! Every once and awhile I take out his CDs and listen while I'm cleaning, and my kids love it. My favorite is White Stuff, mostly because I was in love with New Kids on the Block. Thank you for sharing, this brought back so many memories for me.
As soon as I saw Al was getting a star yesterday I knew you would be covering it! How lucky was that tour bus driving by as Weird Al hit the stage! Great laughter!! Don't think I've heard you laugh that much ever!!! Great to see Dr. Demento! I began listening to him in either late 75 or early 76. I can't remember which NYC station aired the show, but it was broadcast Saturday evenings back then and it had an audience request line. I was in college in NJ and would call into the show from my dorm floor's Payphone. I'd pump $2.05 in quarters & nickels into the phone and the line was always busy. Well, since this was an "Operator Assisted" call, I kept getting the same Operator over and over; obviously her Saturday night social life was as bad as mine!! Anyway, since it was constantly busy, she kept trying the number for me without making me pump the quarters into the phone!! When I eventually got thru, I believe I spoke to the good Dr. himself. Thanks for the memories Adam!!!!!!!!!!

One of the kids played My Sharona and he had never heard my bologna, I of course played it for him. When I was a kid I would listen to Dr. Demento and record my favorite songs from the radio onto cassette ha ha...

Heh, what about "Another One Rides the Bus" or "I Lost On Jeopardy," baby? It's understandable, I guess. Al's had more hit parodies than the speaker could possibly have time to mention. At least TheMoxieJane squeezed a little bit of it in there at the end. That parting limo shot - as the yrs progress, Mr. Yankovic's looking more & more like Tiny Tim, a pretty interesting character in his own right. Great not-so-subtle dig re not pick-axing his star. Congrats to Weird Al, much deserving musician/entertainer!

My husband is friends with Dr Demento. He grew up down the street from him and his wife where they still live in Lakewood. And when my husband managed the local pizzeria (Me & Ed's), he would personally make and deliver the Doctor's pizza and get invited in to share it with them, all the while talking about his amazing radio days. He's a really nice and friendly man. His home is filled with memorabilia from his career... some of which he has given my husband. I told my hubby that he should call the Doctor and see if he could come with him to Weird Al's star event (he's a HUGE fan), but he didn't want to impose. Dang! Imagine how awesome that would've been! Ah well... good thing we have your vlog in which to experience it. Thanks Adam! :)

Weird Al is awesome, and a really good musician. I just watched a video a little while ago where he was invited up at a Weezer concert during while they were performing the Toto song Africa. He went out there and owned that crowd with his accordion but also his voice. Man he can really sing! Anyway, great vlog and glad to see he got a star.
UHF is one of my all time favourites. I love the parodies they do for tv shows but my fave line is " after 15 years they just toss me out like an old bag of moldy tangerines!" also "Life is like a mop."
