I think it's because of the 2 v 8 mode. Because it spawns two hatches in 2 v 8, but each one can only be used by 1 survivor so they made the hatch automatically close when a survivor escapes through it. But it also closes now in 4 v 1 which triggers the endgame collapse just like if the killer closes it. That's my theory anyway.
The game is doing the endgame collapse trigger noise when a survivor escapes via hatch...so many broken things man
