Hey legends, apparently someone Is going through replying to comments as if it’s me saying you’ve won a prize. Just be aware it’s not me it’s a scammer. I won’t ever tell you you’ve won a prize but need to pay for postage either. 👍🏼
Nice Gummy, my main target species here in Vic. Not the most exciting fishing but its always nice to see a big hunk of meat come to the surface. Too right, just being out enjoying the day is half the fun and beach fishing is great place for that.
Great to see that you doing some "normal"fishing. The kids landing that fish is priceless. Those are great bait balls why you didnt catch anything there is very strange. The gummy reminded me of my club fishing days when sharks pull you all over the place.Greetings from scortching South Africa.
After the last vid(which was cool as hell BTW), this was a way-less-stress video... I love watching your cliffs vids but I get a little sketched due to my own fear of heights. That said, the risk is 100% worth the rewards. Thanks for having us along, great to see you on the regular again!
Don't really have an abnormal fear of heights but sleeping tied to a cliff face in a thin polyester hammock like last time is well above my fear tolerance level 😂.
Hi gido that was a cool gummy shark that you got. If you read this I live in Albany WA and a can't wait for the Salomon run. Eny way love the videos great content and keep the work up🦈😀🎣
Another great vid mate, even though the fish were a little conspicuous by their absence. It's not always about the spectacular fishing, or the massive fish landed, so often the scenery, the surf rolling in, family and mates time, these are what makes a journey also memorable and the fact you were in my neck of the world on this particular trip, well that made just that bit more exciting for me. As always mate, tight lines and stay safe.
Used to enjoy salmon fishing from 90 Mile Beach in Vic. 13' homemade surf road. Abu c7000. 2oz star sinker and a Paternoster rig. made up ends for spares and cast my own sinkers. Always caught a few, Seemed smaller on average than the ones over this side.
The second spot looked very fishy but sadly no one was home. Anyway, enjoyed the surf fishing video for a change not having anxiety wondering if you'll fall off the cliff in your sleep 😂 The sausages looked amazing. Everything tastes better cooked outdoors.
They say sausage fish makes good bait which is just as crazy as fishing with shrimp in my opinion. I'd rather have sausages and shrimp on the barbeque than catching fish with it.
great video gido!! btw... what drone do you suggest for begginers and with good camera & cheap? 😅😅 would be amazing if you could help with that a bit haha ;D
Probably a DJI mini. I started with the original one and it does a good job just be careful in the wind. The 3 looks great but the SE version is probably the best cheap drone I can think of. Anything cheaper would be rubbish I recon
Cant wait untill the Next Video, I Would realy want you go and fish (Mallacoota Victoria ) And share video of Mallacoota inlet and Upper river Gypsy Point With your Drone. You are the best💯🥀
Very popular casting method on the Outer Banks of North Carolina USA. Other than South Africa I'd say it's one of the top surf fishing spots on the planet. Lot of surf casting records were made (and broke) there.
Yeah I can vouch for being real careful rock fishing, I'm 60 now and have been washed off rocks 3 times. 2 times by rogue waves that I didn't see and once slipping in. One of the wash off's I smashed my face on rocks and my front teeth were pointing to the back of my mouth and my lip was split open. I reckon i was knocked out for a few seconds because I don't remember the face plant and it seemed one minute I'm standing there, the next I'm in the ocean getting rag dolled along the rocks.
Haha mate for what your doing, tyres down, you'll be right I'm sure, you've inspired me To get back into fishing, I lost my way somewhere with it in my twenties, but now the love is back and I'm getting right into it, thank you bro 😎
If I may When casting low mount and you wind with yr right hand Pull cast the rod over yr left shoulder and releasing the bait. Pull the rod down yr right side Right hand on the reel and left hand high up on the blank
I don’t care if you didn’t catch many fish ,this video was relaxing.I think it was as close to having my feet in the sand as it could be without me being there
Should of eaten the trumpeter .. 😂. You only seem to get them west of town because of the reefs n stuff . Should be some mulloway around at the moment too.. oh and nice gummy..
Here are Gibo, I’ll give you a challenge one salmon I court a couple of years ago was 1.6/7cm in length and yeah the thing was like a torpedo and yeah I let it go wanted a kingie instead ! Unfortunately where I am Gummies nah
14ft rod looks so short with you handling it. In malaysia, where majority of Malaysian is below 6ft, only certain anglers can handle 14ft well enough. Keep on the great job Gido!
@@gidosfishingadventures oh man, really sorry about the height but still the way you cast it looks so easy and maybe its from a camera angle, so the rod looks short!
Put a drop hook on a drone. Fly your line and lure out however far you want and drop it then fly drone back and wait for a bite. There is no such thing as I can't cast that far with a drone...
There's a technique for surf casting where you use your baited and weighted line to load up the rod tip like a sling shot. The easiest way to learn is called The Off The Ground Cast, but once you get that figured out you move to a version where you just swing your bait around and back to load up the rod tip. In a nutshell the idea is to get the rod tip to work almost like a slingshot to fire the bait out. To achieve this you swing gently back away from the surf then begin to cast while the bait and weight is going in the opposite direction, which bends the tip back and causes it to spring forward at the apex of your cast, adding a load more inertia and therefore casting distance thanks to the magic of physics. A bloke called BillyFishing on youtube has a good video to introduce the technique (casting tips for surf rods.) Hard to describe but easy to figure out once you see it. Master it and every fisho you meet will ask you how you learned to cast like that, because nobody does it here.
I was using a bit of a back swing before I cast but I think it’ll take some practice to get use to holding the line with my opposite hand. I’ll check out some vids to try refine my technique

My Dad took me to Exmouth Australia 🦘 when I was 10 years old in 1972. Would love to go for the salmon there and and do that. MAW bass.

It’s not the Spanish Inquisition mate. *Gido
Hahaha.
Sorry about that mate. ;-))
Beautiful location!! Casting this to a 60" TV. Feels like being on the beach with you. AlI I needs a fishing rod🤣
Ooooo gummy, my very fave eating fish down here! Great vid chief, I have to get out for a cast after watching this hey... :)
That surf break at the end😮
Have you ever had a go at a pendulum cast? I managed over 80mts with a weighted tennis ball at the park. Good casts are well over 100mts.

Love the video and the music overlay reminds me of bluey episodes 😂
Loved the video regardless of salmon or not... Cheers Gido!

Ouch. Sounds like your lucky to be alive. Getting washed in and knocked around like that could have easily ended even worse!
Won't get bogged in that TD brother haha, love the vid as usual
They are good cars. Better than a Nav 😆

How about a little mechanism on the drone to enable it to cast out? Dronecasting?

Nice vid GIDO how are you I saw you in Manjimup with your with your kayak after you broke it and have you fixed it keep it up the great work
packet of frozen bratwurst will always save the day though
Hay mate, awesome channel. What beach was that?
Should of eaten the trumpeter .. 😂. You only seem to get them west of town because of the reefs n stuff . Should be some mulloway around at the moment too.. oh and nice gummy..
Hahaha. Yummy trumpeter. A mulloway would be very nice
兄弟 你太牛了,这是我想要的生活。
bro you are so cool
Where were all the mulloway?
Any more trumpeter and you can start your own swing band, mate. Entertaining vid.

Hi is this south Australian
Hey Gido, I’m down at Augusta end of April. U reckon Salmon are worth a shot off the beach??
Keep up the great content mate👍🇦🇺
Definitely worth a shot. Surely there will be some getting around then
Hit us with more info on that wave giddo???
Just a wave I saw breaking out a long way. Was about 1.5km offshore
Thats 1 lucky gummy ahahaha
You need a bait boat Gido
👌🏾🤙🏾🔥
Do you get Mulloway over there? Looks a likely gutter if you do.
We do get them on the south coast but they are hard to come by. Far more common in the mid west region
@@gidosfishingadventures I sore that little bombi and thought straight away something would be ambushing there.
Thumper gummy buddy
Nice vid bud this close to albany? Don't think I've seen this beach
Close to Esperance mate
whats up bro
no way that would be going back if that was me... there is nothing better tasting out of the ocean
What beach is this?
You have to hunt for them using Google Earth. :-)
@@borisjohnson1944 yes indeed. The unwritten rule, never give up the location name.
@@teeanahera8949 Yep, that is up to Gido. I'm a West Aussie so I know some of the places. Wouldn't fish where Gido fishes most of the time though. :-)
