  • Nita Strauss is finally in studio!! We talked about her experiences and perspectives in the rock world touring constantly but also working on her own projects as well. We also talked about the importance of how guitars feel and then we had Josh V join us on the show to speak on how relationships and management mix in this crazy business called Rock n Roll.

He's a great interviewer! To be honest I never thought he'd be this good. I only started watching his interviews about four weeks ago and I've now seen them all! I'm really impressed by the way Nikki is so natural with all his guests, young or old! He's a very different interviewer to the norm and I love the way he interacts with his guests!

Excellent interview! I have massive respect for both Nita and Josh! They are both very inspiring, and Nita is one of the most gracious celebrities I have ever had the honor of meeting. I am saving my pennies already for the Nita Strauss Controlled Chaos tour cuz I am getting VIPs for myself, my wife, and our oldest granddaughter who is sixteen and a budding guitarist in her own right!!! I cannot wait!!!

Another great show, gang! As an 80s shred type guitarist, where I was from, there were only THREE guitar players you had to be into: Eddie, Randy and Yngwie. That was it! But, if you were a girl and you weren't into those guys, you were made fun of. Thank goodness for Lita Ford, Jennifer Batten, Sheila E. and countless other women who took up instruments and changed the world. Nita is my current favorie player. Her sense of melody is so strong that I can see why Alice Cooper hired her. GREAT player! Much love and luck to her for her music!

I've different guitars for different songs.. I've a Tokai Love Rock (awesome Les Paul copy) it suits certain songs and playing style.. I also 2 Jackson's a Dinky which seems to love solos, chugging riffs and power chords. Mu other Jackson is a Kelly JS32 thats just a power chord and chugging machine and I dig in on that.

"You should use all that talent and good musicianship" - She describes King Crimson, who recorded very technical music. No toe-tappers in the catalog, but technically really difficult music. Maybe Heartbeat was a little poppy, but King Crimson as a whole did not give us the results that should have come from so much gathered talent.

I have to disagree with almost everything she says. Band members recording their parts in separate countries and communicating via text and email just seems wrong. Pro-tools, drum machines, playing scales, blah blah blah. Its all so un-personable. Yeah yeah she is technical but her playing is boring shred with no soul. Even her stage presence is boring. She will never be known for anything other than a hired gun and video game soundtrack player. She has no soul. Listening to her play is like a trip to the dentist. When will it be over
