In this contest, above all the others in the history of the Miss Universe pageant, I would have hated to be a judge at this point because all of these three beautiful ladies gave well thought out, articulate, answers and they were all beautiful. I was rooting for all three.....all three were outstanding and would have made a great Miss Universe!
I was in primary when this was held in my country I love these three beautiful ladies..but most of all is Miss Colombia but the smartest among them I think is Miss India..
MISS INDIA DESERVE THE CROWN!!! SHE THE GOT THE BEST ANSWER, WHY?? ALTHOUGH ALL THE ANSWER REFLECT TO SHOW "LOVE", NOBODY MENTIONED "TO SHOW LOVE TO MAN" EXCEPT MISS INDIA,,, (the essence of a woman, is to show a man what's loving/LOVE....is all about) ^_^ GREAT ANSWER
i really like Ms. India and Ms. Colombia 2004...though they are competing for the title of Ms. Universe, you can see their sincerity in congratulating each other...actually, seeing their reactions,it's obvious that they both didn't expect that they will come that far...in the end, they emerged as the biggest winners. they are both beautiful and witty..i hope all contestants have that kind of attitude.
Venezuela was classy and Colombia had spunk and both were more sophisticated than India, I thought. But a year after, lo and behold.... Miss India looked like a goddess when she crowned the next MU!
this is one of the best miss universe i've watched. and even though miss philippines havent made to the final 3 im not bitter cause the contestants are really deserving.
It's SOO SWEET to see how Carolina from Colombia injects all that warmness to the group when she's called in to the top 3!! She gave a lesson of congeniality and good vibe to face these tense moments...She said in an interview she didn't win 'cause India's answer was better, but now I see both were really good

This is the most and unique lovely final of MU, there were friendship there, it was feeling. And India deserves to win, even she wasnt the highest record, that answer..oh my god, not all is about beauty, inteligence matters. Very lovely final.
miss india was the most elegant, beautiful, intelligent, well-spoken, with the best body (not chubby) and therefore deserves the title. miss colombia was as beautiful, but couldn't beat miss india in the other depts.

this edition of MU doesn't look like it was in 1994. the stage, the gowns showcased, the entire production seemed like it was not in 1994. evnthough 20 years had passed, still look classy and truly one of the best editions of MU.

sushmita was always in the top 3 in almost all the competitions(preliminary and finals) aside from the interview portions so that means shes beautiful and sexy...
Miss Colombia should definitely have won that year ,she was astunning throughout the night , her answer was so coorect ans she never looked nervous but calm .
The top 3 are so happy and friendly, they really hug each other especially when colombia was announced as 1st runner up, she hugged India so tight.. unlike this year's Miss Universe 2007, Brazil is so snobbed! I'm thankful brazil did not make it because of her bad attitude...

@karengurl101 yes, sushmita's answer was very sincere and philosophical. but lara dutta's answer was no less impressive than sushmita's. it all depended on their personalities as individuals. sushmita was sensitive, motherly and a woman full of wisdom. lara was logical, tough and intelligent. she was not exactly robotic. i think it was more decisive and strategic.
@karengurl101 sorry but i disagree, lara absolutely held the crowd in her gaze.. she represented a new woman in the 21st century, a leader that is more than just being a mother but a rolemodel, an independent being unwilling to back down. lara continues to be that example, so no it was not pageantry at all.. she was real.
India and Colombia both had 4 judges placing them 1st place. India won because 1 judge had Colombia in 3rd place. Giving India the well deserved crown, but I would have also like Colombia winning.
Go Miss Universe I thought that Miss India should get the crown she was very confident and her answer was accurate and she was sure of what she said. I think Colombia should get 2 because she was a little but in thinking of what to say and 3rd is Venezuela because she doesn't even know how to speak English
