I think this has been one of the highest rated miss universe evening gown competition since the lowest score is 9.618, that's good compared with the currently miss universe evening gown scores, and I also think this is the fairest score to every contestant since the most beautiful and stunning women were: Colombia, Venezuela and Phillipines as well as India.

this MU evening gown competition was so perfect. timing. elegant gowns. bubbly ladies. well trained little sisters. amazing ambiance and backdrop. This was also a current record holder of Miss Universe highest televised score based from the judges, and that is the evening gown score of Ms Colombia Carolina Gomez which at the end, placed 1st runner up.
i a hundred percent agree that the miss universe 1994 was one of the best in history of beauty pageants. it was a headachelike and hard decision to evaluate ten semi-finalists. now that i've watched the show 13years ago, they are still beautiful with even the old fashioned costume.
This one happens only in the Philippines.The candidates seems to be friendly to children. I am proud to be a filipino. I never saw again such thing in the Miss Universe pageant! the Pageant in the Philippines is the most memorable one.

I think miss venezuelas gown is the best as it can crfoss all eras of fashion in pageant from the late 80s to now it is a gown that is very beautiful and she is in a league of her own in the sense that she is statuesque very tall and the look of today i think she was robbed definetly

Sushmita Sen is really adorable. I watched the pageant at PICC and I got to see her in person not only during the competition but also during the post pageant breakfast party. Just put it this was, she edged over Aiswarya during the Femina Miss India then finally wins over Carolina Gomez in Miss U.

Did everyone noticed that colors of gowns the candidates wore had 2 of each? If the host called Philippines first before slovak republic, you would notice the arrangement of the candidates according to the color of the gowns they wore. Just an observation.

It was like I was seeing my own child waving at me (although I don't have children). I have to say that Carolina gave thebest answers when the final question was asked... Colombia was 1st runner up for 3 years in a row and no country has ever done that... With the exception of Venezuela being 1st runner up in 1997, 1998, 2000, 2002... this proves to you that Latin Women are strong and very beautiful...
anyone noticed that this is THE FIRST TIME during the evening gown segment that the delegates did NOT wear their sash? By 1998, they didn't wear their sash on both swimsuit and evening gown competitions. In 2001, it would be worn only during the interview segments and finalists' segments.
Many countries send delegates to Miss World and not to Miss Universe and vice-versa. Lebanon is an "Arab" nation, but that doesn't mean there are people with other religious beliefs there. They have actually won Miss Universe in the past. Indonesia had a semifinalista at Universe in 2005.

Uno de los mejores top 10 de la historia. Miss Colombia tiene una de las presentaciones en traje de noche más increíbles de la historia del concurso. Miss Venezuela muy hermosa, pero algo apagada, le faltó chispa. Miss India es hermosa, pero no era la más bella, su simpatía y gracia la hizo ganadora.
Miss Italia, es hermosísima, no sé cómo no pasó a la siguiente ronda.

Something very amazing just happened. I just literally cried to this video. At 1:36 you see a girl waving into the camera. It was so sweet. It really made me cry. It was like I was seeing my own child waving at me (although I don't have children). And I was repeating and repeating and repeating that part of the video all over again while tears were running out of my eyes: it really was sweet, heartwarming, overwhelming and sad to see that small girl waving...TO BE CONTINUED! I have to say that Carolina gave thebest answers when the final question was asked... Colombia was 1st runner up for 3 years in a row and no country has ever done that... With the exception of Venezuela being 1st runner up in 1997, 1998, 2000, 2002... this proves to you that Latin Women are strong and very beautiful...
anyone noticed that this is THE FIRST TIME during the evening gown segment that the delegates did NOT wear their sash? By 1998, they didn't wear their sash on both swimsuit and evening gown competitions. In 2001, it would be worn only during the interview segments and finalists' segments.
Many countries send delegates to Miss World and not to Miss Universe and vice-versa. Lebanon is an "Arab" nation, but that doesn't mean there are people with other religious beliefs there. They have actually won Miss Universe in the past. Indonesia had a semifinalista at Universe in 2005.

actually, the this is the last year that the little sisters sang this song and the last year to have little sisters part of the pageant was 1995. I still think this is the best part of every Miss Universe pageant. TRUMP should bring back this long tradition that every Miss Universe viewer looks forward to each year.

I agree, Miss universe nowdays it is just a catwalk. Just beautiful girls without a little brain. Miss universe 1994 was full of gorgeous and smart girls. The semifinals were really beauty. I think this is one of the best miss universe edition. India, Colombia and Venezuela were very closed in competition. India answered the question a little better than Colombia, this was the reason of her success

1-SLOVAK REPUBLIC: simplemente HERMOSA, ELEGANTE, GARBO.
2-VENEZUELA: impresionante belleza y modelo muy bien su traje de noche
3-USA: tiene un tipo de belleza no muy comun, es muy atractiva, super elegancia y ese traje negro le quedó espectacularr
4-ITALY: no es una de mis favoritas para clasificar pero con este traje de noche me encanto., fue muy original
5-phillipines: hermosa
