Here's my rankings : 14. Quartz Quadrant US : I like the guitars in this and the R&B groove it has too, but that's about it. This song doesn't fit anything, the stage, the timeline, a classic sonic game, nothing. I also find it to be extremely bland considering it's just guitars. 13. Metallic Madness US : This is a really serious track, it fits the ambience and all. However, it doesn't fit a Sonic Game, a Sonic Final Stage, a Classic Sonic Track, and Metallic Madness. I also ain't a fan with those saw waves effects. 12. Collision Chaos US : I've experienced some profits with this song. I used to despise it, not like it and all, but here I am now. But I gotta get it off my chest first, this song doesn't fit the stage at all, and it's kinda just Guitar riffs and Bass. However, I find this song to be really interesting when it comes to Ambience. I find it fitting for the Background, stage pallete, and this song is also something I'd hear during sunset. I also think canonically Sonic didn't save Palmtree Panic and left it to rot. This song perfectly captures the feeling of really not haunting you, but rather make you feel guilty though you cannot do anything and have to move on, which is REALLY dark to think about. 11. Wacky Workbench JP : I don't really remember my first impression of this song, I just know that one time I played Wacky Workbench a lot because I couldn't beat it at all. But now, I find it not really interesting as a song, rather boring, it's really just some same musical notes repeating all over the song. But compared to all the previous entries, this song fits the stage the MOST. It's Wacky, Chaotic and Menacing in a way. It also gives the feeling of dizziness, which makes sense for a stage that makes you bounce up, fall down, land on a platform that spins and tries to push you down. 10. Tidal Tempest US : This song is really Groovy, I love it. The vocals also work well, it's really upbeat. The whole song feels like a fun party with the Vocals and Groove but also reminding you that this is an Underwater stage with the Chords. It also fits the ambience a lot. The downside to this is that I find it not so interesting and sometimes boring, repetitive. 9. Collision Chaos JP : This song is really funky, groovy and fits what a Sonic Spinball music should be like, this one is a CLASSIC, peak music here. It also fits the stage way better than its US counterpart. I do find it not fitting the ambience as well as the US one tho. Tbh I just feel like there are better songs out there so this one shouldn't be placed any higher. 8. Stardust Speedway US : This is a song that you'd hear driving on a road in a night sky full of stars. It just fits the ambience a lot, and just upbeat enough to fit a fast Sonic stage. I also LOVE that tragic sounding part. It's like it reminds you of the possible threats Eggman poses. It's just so good. Fitting the atmosphere is one but also fitting a sonic game, the stage itself?! Goddamn perfect for an US track. 7. Palmtree Panic US : This song is more tropical compared to the JP one, it also fits a first stage, the atmosphere. I love the instruments played in this track too. The Acoustic Guitar is especially amazing. The key changes are really cool too. 6. Stardust Speedway JP : I used to like this song a lot more but the more I listen to it, the more I realized I don't love it as much as I did before. Sure this song fits the atmosphere and the stage, it's also really upbeat and funky, makes you feel like ur actually runnin thru the speedway. And it fits a Sonic Stage, Sonic Game and a Fast Stage. But well I just find other songs that deserves more appreciation. This one is a CLASSIC however. btw the last part is kinda just repeating the old stuff which is unnecessary for me. 5. Tidal Tempest JP : This song fits a lot more than the US one. It fits an underwater stage more, the atmosphere, ambience and a sonic game. I just love this one so much, the Groove, the underwater sounding effects. I also prefer calming music so this one is just better. 4. Metallic Madness JP : This song is a BOP! Theres a reason this level is remade in SM, it's because the og song was SO GREAT. This song is much more menacing, energetic and mechanical than the US one. It's not BORING as that one is. 3. Palmtree Panic JP : This song is amazing, it fits the first stage a lot, and very happy, which makes sense for a level that has 0% Eggman Influence. I also like to think of this song like one you would hear in an anime opening, just think about it, epic. I also LOVE that calm Piano part, and then it shifts to a Climatic Cheers ending the song. Just so great. 2. Wacky Workbench US : Literally the best US level track. It opens up with an amazing bassline, drums and some snappy guitars. This song is just so catchy I love it next question. 1. But I don't say I hate it, I'd just say for that song this: 'meh'. 13. Wacky Workbench (JP): Although I hate this zone, this song really fits the level, a wacky factory. In fact, I used to love this song. But now I don't really think that this song is enjoyable, and I like other tracks better. 1:39 I agree. 12. Palmtree Panic (US): Now, this song reminds me of a vacation in Mexico. The reason why I placed this song low is because I am not very keen on this song. But I gotta say I like the banjo and bongo drums sounds and the transition between this song is nice. 11. Tidal Tempest (US): Just like CC (US), this song doesn't fit the level. But sometimes I enjoy listening to it because this song gives the feeling that, you're exploring a mysterious cave. That's why I placed this song a bit higher. I just like everything about this song: the metallic tinkling, the guitar sound (as I heard), etc. It gives the feeling that Sonic reached Metallic Madness and he can still save Little Planet. Tidal Tempest (JP): I also love this lailed back tone in this song. And this song is one of the most beautiful soundtracks I've ever heard, to be honest. It gives the feeling of exploring a mysterious, underwater deep cave, and unlike the US version, this song fits the underwater part as well, along with the mysterious cave. I really love the underwater tinkling and this is my favourite part: 18:10 . Overall, this song is absolutely beautiful and enjoyable to listen to. 3.🥉 Stardust Speedway (US): Another song that is one of the most beautiful soundtracks I've ever heard. And to be honest, it's more beautiful than TT (JP), and it also fits the level. This song also gives the feeling of dancing in a calm night festival, besides I love Stardust Speedway.
