High school is more hit or miss than the portal. The portal is better in the sense that you have actual data (college level film) to base your recruting on while high schlle you never know how a kid will adapt to the college life. I think we've seen too many 5 star high school player bust in college.
We are not going to pay players out of high school that have not stepped foot on a college football field and are completely unproven on this level. The Battles end is using their money to reward players for their efforts and success here at Florida State. This is the way it should be. Coach Norvell has said many times he does not want a football player whose number one concern is money. Also as I said above, We have not even seen the high school recruits that Norvell has recruited play on the field yet. That is the true measure of how well you are recruiting. Miami can sell all the boats and hookers to their recruits if they want. Texas can buy all their recruits Lamborghinis, which were just for show people, when they haven't even played a down. Perhaps Mike is wanted to see more commitment from the players he is recruiting so he is waiting longer to push for commitments. Wtf is a commitment anymore anyway? It means absolutely nothing. Once the NLI is signed and they are enrolled in class and stepping on to the practice field that is truly when there are Seminoles.

Give me a four star that loves the game and wants to win and be part of a team that he considers to be family and will fight and bleed for his brother playing next to him. Give me that player all... day... long over a five-star primadonna who is the only worried about getting paid!!!

Follow the trend of the last 2-3 recruiting classes. FSU gets most of their recruits to commit in the month July; from June visits. Plus there’s been so many of these guys that silent commit and just enjoy the process. Mike actually encourages these kids to take visits and see what’s out there. He’s said time and time again that FSU “is for the real ones”. This staff has a great sense of what type of kids they want on this team. Be patient my fellow Noles fans; be patient. The ‘cruits are coming. Go Noles 🍢🍢🍢
Just wasted 19 mins of my time. Sure hope we make a mark on a few here in the next coming weeks. I hate when ML says I feel good bout anyone because we lose out 80% when he says that. Been that way for about 4 yrs now.
