Durafly has released another fantastic version of their popular EDF RC jet to date, the fantastic D.H.100 Vampire Mk6. We added some new improvements and finished with a striking new scheme. This version of the Durafly Vampire is finished in the scheme of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) colors.
Although the initial version of the Vampire was a very stable flier Durafly has tightened up the tail booms and elevator with carbon fiber support to give even better control. With the change to the RCAF colors, the silver scheme has been “dulled” to give a more realistic color and the plane also has a smoother finish with cleaner panel lines. Under the hatch, the Vampire has been updated with an AeroStar 60A ESC with a built-in BEC (rather than the separate ESC and BEC) and an upgraded 2836 3300KV brushless motor to provide more performance and efficiency.
Fast, stable, reliable, easy to fly, and with a presence in spades, the Durafly D.H 100 Vampire "Canadain Edition" will stand out at any airfield and is ideal for aspiring jet jockeys. A must for any jet fan!

Hi to Stuart & Co, now that HK is closing the EU warehouse as wel, I don't think they gone sell much here in the EU, In my opinion, a big mistake. I'm sad to see HK going, they got me back in the hobby in the first place. Still thankful for that. Hk was the first place to look for me ,if I needed anything for the hobby, now that has to change. Very sad. Cheers.

Nice plane and top video. An updated one would be unavoidable, even in the UK. Same size, smoother, stronger, faster... that'll do. Oh yeh, and all silver with decal options. I think that's it 😁
I have the V1, it will tip-stall if you don’t keep up the speed.
To reduce this tendency, I cut the ailerons three inches from the tip, and taped them to the wing with a smidge of washout. The cut-down ailerons are still more than adequate for control.
I ditched the undercarriage to reduce weight. (Just remember to cut power on landing so as not to suck up debris into the fan!)
I’ve also put a folding prop on the nose of another one. Removing the edf and consequent huge 4s battery (1500mah) has saved over 200g. Just awaiting calm weather for the maiden. It should be a fab floater with long flight times. 🤞
Oh, and if you do crash these models, they glue back together ridiculously well. Mine has been smashed to atoms several times, but a liberal splash of UHU Por will soon get it topside again. I love it, it’s a go-to ship and I’ve flown over 70 sorties with it.
I've flown three of these. The best one had a 2200 6s set up. Nearly riped the wings off but it was fun and very fast.
I still have the slightly inferior previous version and it's one of my favorite EDF models to fly. However, because of the unstable nose wheel, I only use the landing gear for take-off. I land the model on its fuselage and every now and then the paint damage is touched up with some aluminum based acrylic paint. It works so well that after 6 years and many flights it still looks almost new! I don't want to hide a small criticism: In my version, the thrust angle and the surface angle of attack are not quite optimal. However, I was able to compensate for this to some extent with a mixer for the elevator, depending on the throttle position, in order to force neutral flight behavior.
From most warehouses ? just the one then stuart,, nice display could you bring back the green camo and add more power would be magic
Yep the V1 'limited edition' camo scheme was excellent. That with the V2 improvements and maybe a few other tweaks would make a nice V3.

£72 shipping to UK - no thanks!
But don't forget the 'shipping discount' offered on goods from the International warehouse. When combined with that you can get the Vampire shipped to the UK for less than 190GBP, which is very competitive for a 70mm PNF EDF.
Plus import duty, VAT and carriers handling charge i make that about £235 ! Not such a deal.

They got there moneys worth out us for years then dumped us at the first chance.
As its very much NOT on the HK site but on a more of a constructive note. If its being revived lets have more reinforcement especially in the wings, better landing gear with springs, steering and bigger wheels for grass use. Upgraded power system perhaps 9-10 blade still on 4S, rudders and make the parts backwards compatible for this much loved model. On that note Spares, Spares, Spares, Spares even if only from Global. Its a real downer to find a model you intend to buy and there are no spares available, I personally don't buy. Maybe a couple of paint options, Silver/grey, Camo choice of decals.
I'd love to try one but EU store not only is empty of this model there are almost no planes in stock!

I ordered one when this video came out, and received it today. Please put me on the list of people who want the model updated. It needs a redesign to replace all the glue with screws and bolts.

I’ve purchased three of these planes… I love them, however, you need to upgrade the landing gear. The front nose gear is atrocious very poor set up on the front nose gear. But I do love this plane.
