Very helpful! I had been hesitating on putting a dashcam in my G70, since I've always run a long wire to the 12v socket in the console in previous cars, and it just looked cheap. This is clean and almost factory looking honestly!
Glad to help. I love the dongar adapters. This is my 3rd or 4th car with one. I used to have to tuck the wires into the door sill molding and it was so messy lol.
Based off your video and some posts online, I got the same adapter (coincidentally, same camera too) and it worked perfectly. Ended up mounting the camera in the same spot as well since upper right was most out of view for me and the fish eye lens works well still. I was worried about removing that center piece in the rear view assembly but it popped out perfectly. I just got a short usb c cable with 90 degree connection on one end and like the look better than the one that comes with the adapter.
I did recently swap out to this camera though because it has wifi amzn.to/3G67hZH Other than wifi it's about the same as the A119 v3 (the newer one has a smaller screen tho)
Nope. There may be a way to force the mirror to be powered all the time but as I have it configured the camera turns off when the car does. They do make cameras with batteries though so you could try to get one of those in conjuction with this setup, if you use the motion activation feature or maybe even the time-lapse feature of such a camera you might be able to get a night time's worth of power assuming you drive enough to recharge it every day.

Can you send the link to the dashcam you purchased?
Sure! This is the dashcam I have in the video amzn.to/3MMpYoX

Looks like doesn't work when parked. The car needs to be on for cams to work
@@subratadey this is correct. You need to get a dashcam with a battery for that to work via this method
Do this installation work for parking sensors while car is off ?
