1:20:04 ThunderStruck was my high school football theme song. I remember my brother and the football team running out to the field with the song blasting. Eventually the marching band learned how to play that song. It was awesome. My brother graduated my freshman year of high school and it was just awesome.
James is hosting a viewing party for this movie in Texas at the end of this month with a Q & A to follow, so if you love this movie for all of its awesomeness and the wonderful message of teamwork and humanity (lol) then you should check it out if you’re able! It’s going to be a great time in Houston, Dallas, and Fort Worth!! 😂😂
I keep getting Varsity Blues and The Program confused. The Program is one that had that hazing scene with the football players lying on the busy highway, right? Or is that Varsity Blues? I'm surprised Pat didn't mention Brian Robbins starting his Hollywood career as an actor on Head of the Class. He's good buddies with that creepy Dan Schneider (I don't know if Robbins has cut ties with Schneider); take that tidbit of trivia as you will, everybody. Well, now that I heard about this Whipped Cream scene, it all makes perfect sense to me regarding Robbins and Schneider. "You don't need backstories for wh***s". That joke had me dying with laughter! Hey, I want to touch Matthew McConaughey, too! Same goes for Chris Evans. Rowr! I'm very comfortable with my masculinity to admit this. Ah, THERE'S the Movie Trope Alarm Bell! It's been so long since I heard, I forgot what it sounded like! Say, whatever happened to giant cut-out of Will Patton's head, anyway? Another excellent episode of Bad Movies Rule! as always, everybody.
There was a scene with Joe on the highway in The Program but after some kids in real life got killed doing it, they cut the scene out of the movie, it was never put on VHS or DVD.
@@EddieHenderson92Yeah, I remember when that happened. I just have to shake my head in wonder sometimes. And thanks for clarifying which Football movie that scene was in, Eddie.
I know in high school that played football with my brother. He was a big Native American guy named Russel and they had to buy him a XXL helmet when he joined the football team
I've had an epiphany. The reason why teen movies in the 80's and 90's always cast 30-year-olds as high schoolers is because any film crew depicting minors in those situations would all end up in prison and on a registry.
I give this episode a 10, A FREAKIN 10!!
Stephanie(don't know if that's how you spell it) I feel ya. I don't know too much about football but you randomly yelling ohmaha had me dying 🤣 😂

I just watched Varsity Blues 2 weeks ago. I watch the same stuff you folks do. 😂
No but it's a fun movie especially if you were a kid or teen at that time. It's so late 90s.
Air Force known users of the Triple Option had games were they had no passing yards.
I used to love running the Wishbone in NCAA
44:30 OMAHA!!!
