The next day we went and bought her a 64 c10 and now she comes over and wants to work on it everyday that she doesn't have ball practice after school. So far we have stripped down to a frame and cab and she started wire wheeling it so we can paint . Ty for inspiring my little grease monkey
When putting on decals spay soapy water mix on the body where the decal goes. This allows you to adjust the decal and squeegie out the air bubbles as you go.
Itxactly what he said squeegee wet tiny bit soap water or dab baby oil mix mostly water I use masking tape on edges before I start peeling align white edge. Anyway u all stay great!
As a vinyl guy some 30 years ago, we used to mark the backing paper vertically on the centre line also mark centre of car with tape, then use very watered down soapy water onto car, peel backing paper off. Then you can line up all your marks by sliding the sticker around. Always squeegee from the centre outwards, working bubbles out towards the edges. You should only be left with very small bubbles, if any at all, which can be pricked with a pin and worked out.
I'm 58 years old. Happily married, proud father of 4, and Papa of 3. My dad and I are car guys, as is my 3 sons and grandsons. I met you two at Pomona when you were on Hot Rod Tour west. Been along for the ride ever since. Love how you teach The Kid and seeing how interested she is. Aaron is a lucky guy to have so many around him so interested in what he is. Love you all.
I have vinyl graphics all over my truck. I surface prepped. Didn't use soapy water. For my hood graphic I started in the center with half the paper pulled back half way. Then I took my felt squeegee, started dead center where I wanted my graphic to be and worked my way to the outside. No bubbles.

Soapy water can help, also...don't remove the whole backing. put tape to mark where your sticker will lay, peel back about a foot and set your beginning lines up. Once you are squared away you can peel from below and guide the sticker down. Take your time and squeegee toward the backing paper as it is peeling off. So as you were set up, Aaron would peel the backing and Emily would squeegee. Oh, and I am 57 and have 2 Daughters and live in Oklahoma. My oldest wants me to build her a 46 Chevy Truck, but I can't find a decent roller that isn't already either completely finished or Rat Rodded out...but we keep looking. Decals. How about matching them with the gold colour (color) of your new wheels instead of black decals? I use soap and water every time as it helps the bubbles escape and you can make small adjustments to them. I’m 65 and have been ‘wrenching’ with my dad since I was 5 years old. My boys didn’t take after me but my granddaughter, Bella does. She walks into my shop, smells the petrol/oil filled air and then smiles!
I have a 2021 Patriot Blue Pearl color Ram Bighorn, and right now it only has 23,580 miles on it. I bought a set of Fuel rims with the blue trim for it this year. Stock rims were 18" but they wouldn't clear the calipers without going with a bigger offset rim. I didn't want the tires sticking out past the fenders, so had to jump up to 20" rims. And of course, that meant a new set of 20" tires. But the rims look great, and I always get positive comments on them even though they cost a good chunk of change. Since I live in Mi, I put the original rims with Nokian Outpost tires for the winter that I had put on them in January of 24.

Hi guys, love your videos. You are troopers. In the future if you wish to install decals I have an invaluable tip for you. Mix a was bucket full of soap. Soap the area where your decal is going to. This will allow you to remove the backing and use a squeegee to remove bubbles and make adjustments as needed. This works like a charm, and allows you two to do a professional job 😊
warm soapy water is your friend when it comes to vinyl...spray the body panel down very liberal and you can slide your gfx around until it's where you want it and then peel the top paper off and squeegie from the center to the edge so you can work all the bubbles out

About three months ago I put a big decal on my truck and I made the mistake of not using soap and water. The decal was full of air bubbles but after a week all of them were gone. You can also pop the bigger bubbles with a pin
Great video! You guys need to put those decals on wet with an application spray. It leaves room for adjustment and to allow the air pockets to escape. Soapy water will work but an actual application product works way better and doesn't discolor anything. Looking forward to the second attempt 😊
The Bronco on the mat is kinda kewl! Back when I bought my GTI in the mid 80's, the VW parts department at a nearby dealer that I worked at wanted to sell me a set of floor mats. They said they were really good. The heel pad on the driver's floor mat had a raised artwork of a Duesenberg or something from the 30's. I made a sour face. Not cool! The decades have gone by. They ARE really good floor mats! Immortal, even. Like coco mats but made out of synthetic. The Duesenberg has been eroded by 250K+ miles of use.
Oil change miles: I go by the color of the oil not the miles. Everyone's driving habit are different, so the oil intervals are different! Thanks for the videos!

Also sign maker for 30yrs, they are correct below and to add if the transfer paper is old and dried out it sticks to the decal more causing pull up. BTW you all are awesome people.
I am 54 single no kids. I luv cars, I was a panel beater (body and paintwork) for many years. I am not good at engines, I mean I do change the oil, the filters, the water, air up the tyres, change the belts and swap out a battery when needed, but no mechanical work. I would love to get my hands on your 57 Chevy, I miss working on car bodies. ❤❤❤❤❤
I just purchased a 2024 Bronco Badlands edition and I’m planning on adding a 7” lift with 38” tires. Ours is Red Hot pepper metallic and there’s a whole bunch of modifications coming soon !
@ I’ve done lots of decals, on the hood stripe you center it and tape it down on the sides then work your way from the center out cutting the backing off and you can spray the hood with a soapy spray and squeegee out the fluid.
when applying graphics spray soapy water on the surface, remove the backing paper and slide the graphic into position, then squeegee from the center outward.
To answer your demographics curiosity, I'm a 59 year old male, and enjoy your projects, but mostly Emily reminds me of an older sister, in her attitude and the way she takes on the successes and failures of each project.

I haven't watched this channel for some time, I am subscribing, but new videos didn't show. So surprised to see the video is alot about new products and product placements and discount codes in the description. I am sort of glad the algoritms steered me away from that.
I don't know if you have heard of Bronc Buster on RUclips. They beat the S out of the Broncos just to see what broke. Everything that broke was replaced with engineered Billot Aluminum parts just to repeat the process untell nothing broke. Parts were expensive but they had caught Fords interest early on, and now you can get their parts for less from Ford dealerships. It would be worth checking out.
Nice aftermarket floor coverings....however...us type "A"s can't believe you installed them over dirty floors! Come on guys! The sticker on the hood? Take it to the pros at a glass shop that does tint....some things we just shouldn't tackle as DIYers...72 with 5 GKs...been wrenching since the 60s...let a 68 Camaro go years ago and still kicking myself for that!
You should have asked for the stickers, on how to put them on. If you go on Graveyard Carz, they put much larger stickers on early 70's Mopars. Theirs can be much larger and longer, so it's a great way to learn how to put them on without bubbles left behind. ;)
Decals and paint are probably the only things i pay someone else to do on vehicles because if i do it, I'll notice every imperfection on it for the rest of my life
65 seven kids 13 grandkids I’m in nurse, but I have rebuilt seven cars from the ground motor and body overall mechanic and have taught my son to do the same and I have a son-in-law that does it
Hey y'all. I see a huge step you didn't use. Before you put the graphic down, you should ALWAYS spray water or Windex down beneath the graphic, to allow it to move and get all of the bubbles out. It aids in lubing the adhesive so it'll move into place, where you want it to stay. A rubber squeegie makes the air push way, way easier spray the top down once you get it in place so the squeegie will slide over the surface.
@@russmurphy7062 what was so weird is that with the backing paper on all the bubbles were out, it was smooth! Then pulling it OFF is when the dang bubbles formed! 🥹🥹🥹🥹
@flyingsparksgarage ok, it doesn TV matter what you do, the window cleaner will let you get the bubbles out, no matter when they happen. You're telling me the problem, which does happen. But the cleaner being between the graphic and the clear, the bubbles will push out. It'll go down really easy after you get the paper out. You can move it around before it'll bond down.

@@ronaldhagadorn5512 She’s the bomb! Did ya see the episode of House of Muscle on the Hemmings channel that went live yesterday?!? 🤤
I'm 76 years old with 23 grandkids . I teach all of them to change tires and oil on their cars . Joel Reppe Clear Lake SD
Wheels look great but are the tires gonna rub?
Also Em I'm REALLY surprised you didn't vacuum before you installed the new mats!😂
@@robnobrc the tires don’t rub plenty of clearance, she had the same size previously!
I love the new rims and tires! They are pretty cool
Sixty four year old grandpa of seven here. I watch all your videos and some I have watched twice.
I didn't see yall check your rear-end trailing arm frame mounts for broken or cracked metal or welds!!!
@@tophand1918 OH SHOOT we forgot!!!
I just purchased a 2024 Bronco Badlands edition and I’m planning on adding a 7” lift with 38” tires. Ours is Red Hot pepper metallic and there’s a whole bunch of modifications coming soon !
@@JIMFED63 so fun!!!!!
67, in Detroit. I have 3 kids (FMF) with 6 Gkids (even split) I've taught all of my young'uns general maintenance on vehicles.
Kept youngest daughter from getting scammed outa town.
We all love all your videos keep them coming we love you guys out here in Pennsylvania
I’m 45 with 2 high school kids. I also have a green 4-door Bronco badlands!
You may be able to take a small pin and let the air out of the bubbles. And the tires and wheels are a great upgrade!
Ya over thought it. You’re both great at this, have faith in yourself and knock it out
73 with a 42 year old Daughter and 16 year old Grandson!
I am 65. I am single right now. I am a father with a lovely daughter and 4 grandchildren.
I guess you can say that I'm semi retired. Working on an adventure in photography.
I have a project in hand. Building a resto mod '83 Dodge Pro Tour truck. 440 with twins and a 727.
The wheels and tires look great 👍
I haven't watched this channel for some time, I am subscribing, but new videos didn't show.

Why didn’t you vacuum the floors before putting in the new mat!!
@@johnkimbrell2378 so you could comment and give us a hard time, duh!! 🤣
Ooh_ I LIKE those floor mats!!! Well i like all the other stuff too!
@@dansoenen8331 They really impressed us!!! The other stuff is great too 🥰
Temperature makes a big difference with decals. I usually leave them in the house if its cold outside.
@@SFDearing1 hahahaha I know!! We were kicking ourselves that we didn’t have to vacuum!!! Silly kids!
You should have asked for the stickers, on how to put them on. If you go on Graveyard Carz, they put much larger stickers on early 70's Mopars. Theirs can be much larger and longer, so it's a great way to learn how to put them on without bubbles left behind. ;)
Have you two ever hung wallpaper together?
My hunch is that you have jive decals.
U guys should do a modeling shoot/ boat fix test drive same time! Your videos are awesome! Ever work on Chevy's?😂
Great video, Bronco looks awesome, what a great family, and Emily gets more beautiful every day. Lots of love from pa ❤❤❤
Nice up grades. I have a question where did you get the nice oil fill can?😁👍
