The panda's are not going because of tensions with China. It's because of the horrific condition of YaYa and LeLe pandas at the Memphis Zoo! For a full year people kept begging the Zoo to do something about both panda's skin condition and starvation! Memphis was actually asking people to bring their bamboo to the zoo to feed them! They wanted free bamboo instead of paying to get the right bamboo in from China!. Poor LeLe lost his life just weeks before he was to return to China. We all saw him die on camera and yet the zoo took nearly a hour to check on him even though people were calling them LeLe had a seizure, went down and was not getting up. China sent people to Memphis to prepare YaYa's move to China and brought bamboo. Today YaYa's skin condition has cleared up, she has gained weight and looks great! Memphis claimed they couldn't do anything about the condition. So don't blame Biden for some made up tension with China. Blame Memphis Zoo for their neglect and abuse and death of LeLe and YaYa's near death from incompetence.

You are horrid polluters, poach animals I'm other countries and your own to extinction, are colonizers and terrible to many non-Han groups. Neither country has a good track record and both should do much better. You have to have the freedom to criticize your leaders in order to make changes. Chinese have already long ago lost this freedom, and sadly it is being lost in America as well.
How are you even posting on here? This platform is banned in China. Also, wow, a pair of elderly pandas were dying of old age, how shocking. That could never happen in China! In China Pandas just live forever! /sarcasm
In order to display pandas in a zoo, the zoo must agree to pay $1 million per year to "rent" the pandas and send all babies born in said zoo back to China. Furthermore, China recalled the giant pandas from San Diego Zoo before the Memphis incident, back during the trade war under Trump (in April of 2019). After a panda died in Memphis earlier this year, their other panda was recalled to China. Now, the pandas in Atlanta and DC are being recalled, as well. It's probably related to tensions between the two nations, but it could also have something to do with the costs to zoos who's funding was likely hit hard during the pandemic. As much as I adore giant pandas, I'd rather see them in zoos under better contracts. The ones currently in use drain funds away from caring for animals the zoos can own. As cute as giant pandas are, they shouldn't be a proverbial cash cow or "carrot and stick". I just hope they continue to be cared for in China despite the economic issues looming worldwide.
Not quite right. We been fighting for YaYa and LeLe for nearly 2 years. We watched them on live streaming suffering with skin conditions and starvation. Even singer Billie Ilsh was begging for China to come get them. China finally decided to come get them Feb/Mar this year but 2 weeks before they were to come LeLe stroked out and died. In days China's vets were here. YaYa has no skin condition any more and has gained a ton of weight. Many of the pandas that recently returned the lease was not up. But zoo's agreed to let China have them.

The panda exchange is a public diplomatic program for world perception of relations with China. We should maintain a cooperative attitude and good relations.

As an american citizen, you are correct that we have been brutal colonizers, horrid to ethnic minorities, and destroyed parts of our environment. However, Chinese history shows the exact same things about China.
/sarcasm
The CCP would rent you out to make a buck.
And?
Do i have to give mine up?
What a Pandamonium!
That means there's no more peace for these two countries
I was lucky enough to seen them in DC last Easter day!
Since the 2 presidents met in SF, new pandas will be arriving in LA zoo in the near future.
Well its time to start buying iodine pills and start digging out a bunker in my yard.
Thankyou,God.The Pandas will back to China, congratulations 🎉🎉
The Chinese will eat them
Thanks God, US does not have to spend the money on the Panda.
@@dragonmaster909 Americans are scarier than eating them
@@tl1533 Actually, is America lost money 💰
Or The United States is so poor that it can’t even afford to raise three pandas🐼. It has nothing to eat and it abuses them.
@@rui9577are you sure? Have you actually watched the cams or seen them? They’re healthy. Very old in fact and still energetic
The baby is an American citizen and should stay here❤
It’s an animal. Also the cubs are property of China.
😄
If the panda already have a cub , then they should be sent back to China
China being big Petty 😂
Isn’t this a little risky for a panda to travel at that size?
Why? So they can get torture there and get their biliar out?
Bro. China treats every individual panda like royalty.
It's stupid to use an animal as a political toy.
So Pandas belong to China. Geese belong to Canada.. do the US own any animals?
Eagles 🦅
it better for pandas to go back to china for better care. We seen what happened earlier in Tenn.
I’ve seen them in Atlanta.
I sure hope they let us keep a fair number of pandas. Otherwise, Panda Express will have to resort to using a different type of meat.
Glad the pandas were thriving & happy in Washington DC, unlike poor YaYa (underweight) & LeLe (died) in Memphis. It’s too bad pandas must live in captivity because they face extinction in the wild due to China’s overpopulation.
Those bears had some genetic issue or something, zoo did nothing wrong.
@@Maspets I personally don’t feel suspicious. I believe the public statements of China representatives & Memphis representatives about Yaya’s genetic disorder and Lele’s fatal heart condition. But many people in the international community are suspicious, therefore I think that warrants more transparency about health records that legitimize what happened. The panda exchange is a public diplomatic program for world perception of relations with China. We should maintain a cooperative attitude and good relations.
They were elderly and had underlying health issues. Do you think in China Pandas are imortal?
Nobody seems to see the bigger picture
Which is?
I swear this must be a pandaexpress publicity stunt
What was the “plan” she spoke of? Going according to plan???
Yes, the lease signed between two countries. Normally it’s about 10-15 years long.
We should keep the us born Panda it is a us citizen
The USA should get the baby 🐼 Panda.
Okay but if they were born on American soil, that makes them American Citizens 💯👀
There's always Panda express.
I thought that China was actually bringing over more panda’s ?
The Pandas better stay away from Memphis zoo
They were supposed to leave 3 years ago, but then the unexpected happened:
The panda was artificially inseminated and had a child..
A little shady.
That was the normal program. They are supposed to try to breed pandas, and most years it fails. They are very tricky.
The name FedEx panda express should've been highlighted more in this segment lol
We should take Apple back from China
It's stupid to pay the CCP to rent pandas from them anyhow. There's plenty of other endangered species that those resources could be put towards saving.
when a soft power is going back... the hard power is coming.
Those pandas are dead, the chinese will lose them or not take care of them. Like Xi said, "not all pandas are cute."
They will get the royal treatment, trust me.
I mean can’t we just clone some and keep them too
I was lucky enough to seen them in DC last Easter day!
Since the 2 presidents met in SF, new pandas will be arriving in LA zoo in the near future.
YOUR DOG SPEAKS CHINESEE?!
"Part of the plan" what was the full plan? Its weird other places still get to keep them but its part of the plan i guess.
Nope they are recalling the pandas loaned to other countries as well
sge pronounced huijia so accurate 👍👍👍👍👍👍
I am confused why the pandas have to be sent back? Even the baby one born here. Like the panda agreement thing gives China the right to take the pandas back?
They were loaned, not gifted. They can call them back whenever they want to.
the only panda that im aware of that doesnt 'belong' to the communists is the one in mexico city
May be good for panda bears to go back to China better be too sad for us because we will never see pandas at the zoo again.🥲🥺😭🐼❤

How can you be so sure ?
I don’t see tears from the zoo keeper. She looks quite happy to be on camera.
This have anything to do with xi xiping being in California recently? Odd timing
